We used to think all wine was made in Stainless Steel tanks or oak barrels. Wrong! Wine can be fermented in 7 primary vessels. Yes, stainless steel tanks and oak barrels are two, however, clay amphora, demijohns, wood tanks, plastic tanks / buckets and concrete (yes concrete!) vessels round out the other prominent ones! Why are there so many different options? Tune in and you'll find out the pros and cons of each vessel are for the winemaker. And, what each may deliver to you as a wine lover!

Special guest, Peter Hemsted from St. Croix Vineyards! He's the mad scientist of all things related to wine varietals and lets us in on a little secret as to how St. Croix uses winemaking vessels.
