Fix the World
The world is falling apart. You can ignore it, and let the kids deal with the damage, or you can change the way you live and mitigate that damage. This show’s about changing: Take less, give more, and leave more alone. It’s simple. If you do it well, you’ll fix the world. If you don’t, you can do everything else and accomplish nothing. That’s my summary statement after 80 years of struggling to make meaning of life. I'm not paid to do this podcast, and I'm not selling anything. I just want a better life for my kids, and your kids, and their kids. If that's what you want, I can help you make it happen. Think critically about what you want. There's probably a big difference between what you think you want and what you really want. Fix the world by knowing this difference, and working for what you really want.

Fix the World
Episode 6, Ensure Universal Primary Education
According to UNICEF, the number of kids without instruction on reading, writing, and arithmetic has decreased by 35% since the millennium. But something is terribly wrong. If universal primary education could fix the world, the world should be better now than at the millennium, but, in fact, it's worse. Primary means first, and reading, writing, and arithmetic are not that. Priority is. Real education is primarily about knowing what is more important and what is less so, and, then, living accordingly. But that's not taught in school and that's why the world is as it is. We've got people reading, writing, and calculating about stuff that's not important, while ignoring the stuff that is important. One statistic says it all: More than 90% of high school students admit to cheating. That's miseducation. Honesty matters more than any skill or grade or reward. To fix the world, put first things first. If you're not honest, nothing else matters.
