Fix the World
The world is falling apart. You can ignore it, and let the kids deal with the damage, or you can change the way you live and mitigate that damage. This show’s about changing: Take less, give more, and leave more alone. It’s simple. If you do it well, you’ll fix the world. If you don’t, you can do everything else and accomplish nothing. That’s my summary statement after 80 years of struggling to make meaning of life. I'm not paid to do this podcast, and I'm not selling anything. I just want a better life for my kids, and your kids, and their kids. If that's what you want, I can help you make it happen. Think critically about what you want. There's probably a big difference between what you think you want and what you really want. Fix the world by knowing this difference, and working for what you really want.

Fix the World
Episode 7, Promote Female Empowerment
In 1900, no fully sovereign state allowed women to vote in elections for public office. Now Vatican City is the only fuly sovereign state not to allow women to vote. This major progress in such short time inspires optimism for fixing the world. And the progress is not restricted to suffrage. Composite measures of gender equality show continuous progress since 1900. But something is terribly wrong. If gender equality could fix the world, the world should be better now than at the millennium, but, in fact, it is worse. I suspect gender equality is not what we really want, for the genders, in fact, are not equal. What we want are leaders who are honest, empathetic, collaborative, aw-abiding, and focused on health and children. The most effective way to get what we want is to declare a moratorium on men in power. Gender equality is a myth. What we really want is female empowerment. Free girls and women to be themselves. Encourage them to cultivate the important natural abilities that females have in abundance, but are deficient in males. Males ruled for the past 100,000 years or so because they had the traits that were needed then, aggression, libido, brute strength. Now male traits are obsolete. We need what women have, honesty, concern for the collective, respect for the law, empathy, and a focus on health and children. Gentlemen, it's time to step aside.
