Speaker 1:I'm Dr. Tamar, awful doctor of pharmacy and certified nutritional genomics specialist. So this week on our podcast, I'm doing things a little bit different because I have a special challenge that I want you to join me on. So this all started because the other day I was thinking about where I was a few years ago. You know, my life was, to be quite honest, spiraling. Imagine juggling, being a mom while serving tirelessly on the board of three different nonprofits and also working night shift at hospital pharmacy. I wasn't drinking enough water and definitely not getting enough sleep. I was a total mess and although the work I was doing for nonprofits was noble and, to be quite honest, my work at the pharmacy was definitely fulfilling, it left me drained. The scales were creeping up, I was gaining weight, my energy was going down, it was plummeting, and I remember looking into the mirror one morning and thinking this isn't sustainable. How much longer can I go on like this? It hit the hardest one morning after I came home from work and I saw the chaos in my home. There were toys everywhere, dishes were piled up and my bed looks like a tornado hit it very much like how I felt. It was a physical reflection of how I was feeling inside. It was then that I knew that I needed to reset not just my room but my life.
Speaker 1:I'm sure that you can resonate with what I'm saying, because you may be feeling like a tornado hit you when it comes to your health. So that's why I'm sharing, for the next 10 days, 10 foundational habits that you need to do to reset your health. These are the foundations you need before you can make the bigger steps towards changing your eating habits and other lifestyle habits that can definitely help improve your health. So I'm inviting you to reset with me as I kick off the 10 day elite health reset challenge. For the next 10 days, I'm taking you on a journey and together we're going to integrate small but mighty challenges into our lives. And you know the best part, these changes are so simple. Anyone can do them. So are you ready to shake things up a bit with me?

Well, it's all about the ripple effect, right? You start your day with a quick win, create a tidy space and set a positive tone for the rest of your day. It's saying I respect my space and the day ahead and, believe it or not, it's these little commitments, these tiny moments of pride, that can snowball into a healthier, more mindful day.
