Speaker 1:

Today is day four. So we've been journeying through some foundational habits for cultivating elite health, and today's focus is on the transformative power of movement. And if you're watching on video, you see that I have just came back home from my morning workouts with my personal trainer, so I got my movement in today and I was like you know how fitting, let me just jump riding and record this Today's challenge for you, since we have to do, since it has to do with movements, and I've done my movement for today. But before we get into the details about movement, I want to take a moment to reflect through a bit of history. I want to introduce you to Alice Coachman, a name that resonates deeply within the spirit of athleticism and groundbreaking achievements. See, alice was an African-American woman who became the first Black woman to win an Olympic gold medal. Imagine, it's the early 1940s, a period dense with social and racial obstacles, especially for African-American women. But despite the pervasive restrictions in sports due to segregation, alice Coachman practiced high jumping in dirt pits using makeshift equipment. Driven by sheer passion and resilience, her relentlessness, training and unparalleled ambition led her to the 1940 Olympics in London, where she didn't just participate she soared over a high jump record of five feet six and one-eighth inches to claim gold.

Speaker 1:

So what does Alice's story teach us, particularly in the context of today's habit. It's a vivid demonstration of how movement isn't just physical but also profoundly mental, you guys, and emotional. It's about leaping over our personal barriers, challenging our limits and carving paths forward. And in my health coaching program, with the Integral Health Coaching Program we actually spend the first two weeks on addressing the mental and emotional aspects and barriers when it comes to getting on your path to health and sticking with it. Every leap counts. Let's incorporate at least 15 minutes of movement right after waking up. So you wake up right, you meditate, you hydrate before you caffeinate and now let's get some movement in just 15 minutes. It could be stretching yoga. It doesn't have to be anything super intense a brisk walk, anything that gets your heart rate up and instills a sense of achievement, first thing in the morning. And now it's over to you. I want to hear how you're going to implement today's habit. What movements are you incorporating into your morning?

Speaker 1:

Your shared stories not only motivate others, but reinforce your commitment to personal health. If you're watching on video, please leave a comment below with your experience and thoughts. If you're listening via podcast, drop us a review, a five-star review. Your insights would be incredibly helpful. Tomorrow we're gonna add another layer to our journey. So make sure to tune in Until next time you guys say it with me. Keep thriving, not just surviving, and always remember to raise the script on health, because together we can bring healthcare to higher levels. I'll talk to higher levels. I'll talk to you tomorrow.
