Tatiana:

Welcome to the Integrated Wisdom Podcast. I am your host, Tatyana Da Silva. Join me as we discuss what it means to live an integrated life and explore ways for you to create a life filled with greater meaning, peace, and connection by integrating the wisdom of spirituality, psychology, Neuroscience, Epigenetics and Energy Psychology are hoped to empower you to create deeper and more loving connections with yourself and others, whilst also paving the way for humanity at large to be reimagined and inspired to become the very best version of itself. Hello, and welcome to the integrated wisdom podcast. Thank you so much for joining me for yet another week. Today or this week I am celebrating. One year of this podcast, we've finally reached that first anniversary milestone and I am so excited. Because if you had told me. Let's say 18 months ago. That I would have had a podcast from talking about spirituality. And I would've kept it going for a year. I would have probably laughed at you. Um, it was certainly something that I was the idea of. It was terrifying. But, you know, It's just been the most magical experience. And that's why today I thought. For this milestone week. I would do just a short retrospective episode. Highlighting some of my favorite. episodes from the last 12 months. And also some of the listeners favourites for the last 12 months. And then talk a little bit about what's coming next. My original intent. With this podcast was to start shining a light on the spiritual nature of life. And start combining that with the scientific evidence that's emerging. Uh, to show all the different spiritual elements that are around us. With the hope. We now are starting to have more conversations like these with people. Starting to illuminate how having that spiritual connection. Or that, that, um, Recognition or remembrance. That there is a larger context at play. Around everything that we do hell. Having that awareness can help us navigate life with greater ease. Life can be so challenging at times. And. Uh, recognizing or remembering. That there is more behind all of this. Than meets the eye, I think can be so helpful for people. And the science has been showing that very categorically. The more connected we are with, uh, an awareness of. Something. Larger than ourselves. And awareness that. We are supported by a higher being. However you want to think of it. That, that awareness, that felt sense. Has immense protective effects for a range of mental health conditions for. general human suffering. I think. And in gives us tools and ways to. To navigate the day-to-day challenges. with a little bit more ease. And. As I've been going through. The podcast and the episodes. It's been very heartwarming for me to see. What's resonating with the listeners, how there is a hunger for people to know more about spirituality. And in particular, I think, you know, as a psychologist, It's something that I've always had in the background. I was always afraid of. Speaking about more openly. And. This process of the podcast and putting these conversations out there. Has allowed me to connect with so many other psychologists and therapists. Who feel the same, who are spiritually minded who are already. You know, in indirect ways, incorporating spirituality in the work that they do in the way that they navigate life. And it's been. Very comforting. I think to know that one I'm not alone. And I think for them as well, Just start to recognize that there are so many more of us. And I think it's really curious when I look at the last few months with last 12 months. Some themes definitely seem to attract peoples attention But for me, I have a few episodes of me. I love them all. But I definitely have a few episodes that I personally feel are really exciting. In terms of the possibilities that there is, they're pointing to. In that process of science starting to catch up. With the understanding that there is a larger context to life, that there's more to this than just, you know, the material things that we can see and measure. And One of the episodes that really starts to highlight this for me. Is the episode that I, I, I published. In mid December last year titled'You only live once or do you?', where I start talking about the amazing science of reincarnational memories of children, this scientific studies that have been amassed at the University of Virginia since 1960. They have amassed a huge body of studies on children all over the world. Who remember their past lives or have you lived here previously? And, you know, in this. Body of case study said. Exceeds 2000 cases. About 50% of those cases were objectively verified. They were able to prove that all the. The descriptions and, um, Nair. Contexts that the child had provided. We're true or they were, they were corporating people or accounts that matched what the child was remembering in describing. And so I think that's pretty exciting. It's a very robust body of work, right? It has been going on for the last 60 years. Um, Or more. So I think for me, that's a really exciting episode that starts to really support this narrative. That science is starting to demonstrate the spiritual nature of life. I think another one that I really loved. Was, um, an episode that I did back in July last year. So almost a year ago, right? Really early on in the piece. Episode 10. Where I spoke about the emerging science that was showing how having a spiritual perspective to life was helping people navigate life with greater ease. It's episode 10. That was titled'How Having a More Spiritual Perspective to Life can help us transcend suffering and navigate life with greater ease', where I start talking about the research and some of the things that. Um, science is starting to demonstrate, right. And how People who have spiritual perspectives or have. Better quality relationships. are able to demonstrate greater levels of happiness, greater levels of resilience, greater immune systems. And a, Buffer and to developing mental health problems. So that's a really exciting episode where again, the science and spirituality, are starting to kind of realize that they're actually a natural friends. Um, One episode that I really loved to do that doesn't really quote the science so much, but I thought it was really. Um, Just demonstrated the concepts so beautifully was my episode. In all on the 1st of August. Episode 11. Where I spoke about the surprising themes of the Barbie movie that were a spiritual. You know, last year it was complete Barbie mania. Everybody was talking about that movie, it truly is a beautiful movie. I loved it. But when, you know, When I watched it and I watched it twice. The. The spiritual themes that emerge in that movie, I thought were so well done. And so that's an episode that I absolutely loved doing. Because it gave me something. Concrete that I could point to, uh, in terms of being able to illustrate these concepts. So that was a really fun one for me to do. Uh, Another episode that I really loved to do and it's not really science-based either, but what again is peaks to that philosophical discussion. Then thinking about spiritual themes can bring to the surface. Was an episode I did on the 13th of September, titled'Destiny versus Freewill, where I start to talk about. the spiritual concept of how much of what we have to go through life is predetermined, is set in stone; versus how much is influenced by our freewill or directed by our freewill. I think that's, uh, a common question for a lot of people. When they're pondering. Their lives, their circumstances, their choices. And so I really enjoyed doing that episode. I thought it was. Um, it helped to shine a light on this conversation. And perhaps. And demonstrate. How these very nuanced, but very clever process of balancing things that absolutely. We must go through. But the element of choice and freewill that we have in how we experienced some of these things. So, if you haven't listened to that episode, yet I encourage you to. And let me know what you think. And. Gosh, there was so many episodes that I really loved. You know, I did an episode in November on the 29th of November last year, where I spoke about'How to spot a False Spiritual Teacher', and I feel that. You know, that was a, an episode. I felt very passionate about doing. Because so many people who seek spiritual support. Um, in what I'm talking about, spirituality in this context, I am not talking, I'm not talking about religion necessarily though. Some times. These things can happen within a religious context too. But a lot of the time people will seek those sorts of supports. When they're really suffering when they're really vulnerable. And unfortunately, there are quite a few people out there who are very predatory and exploitative with these vulnerable people and use their spiritual hunger against them. To exploit them for financial gain to exploit them for sexual gain. You know, this there's some horrific examples that we can, I'm sure all of us can think of. Of people who have become involved in. You know, spiritual, what, uh, organizations or spiritual leaders or teachers who in the end turned out to be. Quite, uh, Quite predatory. And what I would term a false teacher, a false spiritual teacher. So I think. You know, that was one of my favorite episodes to do, because it really highlights the need. For, for discernment, for us to be very aware of what feels right or what feels wrong or not having your boundaries violated. Now identify those early warning signs that maybe this. The person or the service that we're engaging with, isn't actually for our highest good. And I think I'll share one more of my favorite episodes in this is again, back to the science and it's one that blew my mind away and really, really excited me.'cause it started to hint at science's ability to demonstrate the existence of the soul outside of the body. And that was the episode of date. On the 31st of January, that was called'The Superposition of the Soul Exploring Quantum Biology Findings on Consciousness'. That episode. Was so exciting for me because the article that. Inspired it. Was groundbreaking science right. Started to demonstrate the fact that consciousness doesn't happen in the brain. It's started to demonstrate some of these concepts that we speak about in quantum mechanics or spiritual, spheres of the non-locality of consciousness. And the movement of souls from being points of energy, to waves of energy. This, you know, it was really, really, really exciting. for me. That, a scientific, Study. It was starting to demonstrate these very, very conclusively. Uh, and it's only the beginning, right? Cause I think from here more and more bodies of work will start showing up to, to confirm these and explain it even more. So, if you haven't listened to that episode, I highly highly recommend that you do. Eh, the, the science is it's truly groundbreaking, and paints the future. That's coming. So. I could keep going. But I won't, but these are some of my absolute favorite episodes from the past 12 months. And if you haven't yet listened to them, I highly recommend that you do. I'll add links to all the episodes that I mentioned in the show notes for ease of access. And if this is your first time to the podcast. Then maybe those are some really great episodes to start with as well. Just so you can get a bit of a flavor of the sorts of things that I'm talking about here. But what's been interesting in terms of what you listen is have been really gravitating towards this year. I started doing, um, interviews with other psychologists. Who are spiritual or spiritually inclined. And having conversations with them about their journeys with spirituality. And, um, how they may. Find different ways to incorporate it into their work. Either overtly or indirectly. And it seems to be something that everyone's really loving to listen to. My episodes that have been interviews, um, have gone into a lot of attention, a lot of interests. So I would definitely be doing many more of those interviews moving forward. So now as I'm moving to the second year, I'll I'll be focusing a lot more on interviewing other individuals and speaking to them about their spiritual journeys and how it's helped them. But by far, one of the most popular episodes that has been my episode on the Hawaiian forgiveness ritual. there seems to be a lot of interest in. In that topic or that modality. Another topic that really resonated for people was the conversation I had early in March about'How People Pleasing Undermines Your Intuition'. That was really popular for a lot of listeners. And more recently the episode on awe and wonder as well, and the protective benefits for mental or physical health has been really popular. So I'll be having more of these conversations. I'll be bringing you more of these episodes to the table. But in this coming new year. Uh, there'll be a few little tweaks to the podcast. Like I said, where I'll be having a heavier emphasis on my Soulful Shats. There'll be more of those conversations. If you're interested in. Coming on the podcast. And speaking about your own spiritual journey. Uh, I'd love to hear from you. You're welcome to email me at hello@integratedwisdom.com.au. and we can have a chat and see if it would be a good fit for the conversations that we're having. But that's it. It's been a wonderful year. Uh, I've loved every second of it. I'm excited for what this next year will bring. And I just wanted to thank each and every one of you who has been following me along this journey. Either from the very beginning or if you have joined halfway. All of you are so welcome and I am so, so grateful for your support. For your interest in these conversations. And yeah, I look forward to having many, many more in the next 12 months and beyond. I will be taking a little break next week just to put in place some of the tweaks that I'm talking about that I'd like to do to the podcast. But also, I'll be away with my fellow Soul-led, mission-driven. psychologists and therapists, we'll be catching up next week for our mastermind retreat. So I'll be taking next week off. But I will then be back. The week of the 10th of June. So as always, you can find me on Instagram at integrated underscore wisdom or you can email me. At hello@integratedwisdom.com.au.
