Skepticism to Discernment
In our new episode of Heart Fire, Carly and Tom catch up, starting with Tom announcing the official opening of his Reiki practice. Both talk about the fears that have arisen around being public with one's spirituality and one's spiritual gifts, and how both past life trauma and current life experiences can affect this. Neither of them lets the fear take over though as they then discuss ways in which they moved beyond this fear to share their gifts in service with the world. Next, they discuss how skepticism has both helped and hindered them in the past. Tom mentions how his skepticism of some New Age ideas led him to the teachers and practices that gave him only experiential results and benefits in his life and perspective. On the flip side, he does note that if he allows the doubt to take over, it can hinder his faith at times. Carly mentions that skepticism can be lifted to the higher where it becomes discernment which is highly useful and healthy on all our paths. They switch up oracle card pulling this time as Tom and Carly pull for each other and get very interesting results.
