TerrorTalks

Terror i Walmart

Jotun and Andra Chondo had a terrible morning. Not the couple, who had just celebrated their first wedding day, had this day invited friends and family to their oldest day of Skylines' six-year anniversary. It was Saturday, the 3rd of August, and the wedding was held in the middle of the night. The couple had a very happy and happy day. It was Saturday, the 3rd of August 2019. When they had invited the Dateran to the cheerleading training, they went to the local supermarket, wal-mart in the city of Al-Paso, in the southern part of Texas, usa. The thermometer showed all over 32 degrees, even though it was only mid-performing day. Many had a couple of their oldest sons, paul, who was only two months old and who was so busy in the back seat of the car. The couple parked the car in front of the supermarket and parked up here after the hunt after the flag, the balloons and the grill, but what they thought would be a happy and happy day together with friends and family was still developing into a marite A marite which is only one of the three most important family members in the family.
Speaker 1:Welcome to the second season of the podcast, the Tare Tux, a podcast about some of the most spectacular Dateran-gray in history. My name is Natasha Ingeholm and I'm a journalist and a member of the Mellmö studio. I have been working on my work for a long time and I have been working on my work with terrorism and radicalisation. In this podcast, I tell stories about the Tare-Tux for the rest of the world. I try to be clever and to understand why and how people are radicalised and what role the story plays in their way towards terrorism and people who will offer their own or other life for a political, economic, religious or social goal. Who stood behind, who they wanted to be with and, not least, why. The podcast is about the content and description of the details, which can be violent and is unambiguously made for lesser children and people who are affected by the violence.
Speaker 1:Jordan and Andrea Chondhud's little family were only two among the up to 3,000 people who began their stay in Walmart on August 4th 2019. Walmart was close to the shopping centre, the Chialovista Mall, so the warm air filled the rooms from the lively and happy shops. It was shortly before school started, so people bought new school bags and food boxes, and the Penal House was filled with new houses and apartments. The cute young couple the blonde 23-year-old Jordan Chondo, and the fluffy black and a little bit old-fashioned, 24-year-old Andrea Chondo had a lot to be happy for. They were married a year before the end and Andrea Chondo had taken Jordan's two children from earlier relationships two in Victoria and five in Skylen to themselves as her own. They had recently had the same little pool. Jordan gave birth to Chondo and took care of the children while Andrea, who herself had built up a lucrative management where he managed kitchen jobs and renovated kitchen for his wife. But Andrea Chondo also used her fingers in private, outside of the celebration of their wedding day and the day after Skylen's six-year-old birthday, the first time they invited family and friends to visit their new home, which Andrea herself had built. They celebrated their oldest day of Skylen for cheerleading training, and the youngest child, two-year-old, victoria, against her biological father. So now Jordan and Andrea Chondo had time to rest, to buy in. It was hard for a young man who had reached about 1000 km away, and today everything was going to be much more comfortable.
Speaker 1:Patrick Crucios was, in 2019, 21 years old, and grew up in a new class family in the town of Allen, a city that was a big city in Dallas in the north-eastern Texas. His father was to be tried by his mother, cypleiske, and they were left to age 8 and before. When Patrick Crucios was 13 years old, nabo described him as an extremely lonely man who always sat alone in the bus in both school and gym. A Nabo also told that he talked to a poor and sick child who was forced to play or play music in the school orchestra. He was exposed to other people. He was completely different. He was wild with animals and kept snakes as pets.
Speaker 1:A former classmate described Patrick Crucios as very willing to be in class and as one who tried to decide on others. The other children were forced to work with him because he was in a table and had a short lunch. He was often thrown out of the way. He talked to him because he saw something that looked like a bird's nest. In 2014, he moved home, but only a half an hour before his parents contacted the police. Patrick Crucios was released to high school in 2017 and was registered at the University of Collin College, north Dallas between 2017 and 2019. We are primarily by social media. We are not forgotten by Patrick Crucios himself, which person who sees himself behind the closed doors. On his previous long visit to the university, he had a studio job at the University of Collin College, more to pack daily goods.
Speaker 2:And he wrote, among other things I am not really motivated to do more than what is necessary to explain to me that work is generally boring. But I am sure that his career in software development suits me well. I spend about 8 hours every day at the computer, so that is part of the technology experience, I think. When he finished writing he really did not write anything.
Speaker 1:In an unneeded online database. It was said that Crucios had registered as a voter in 2016,. Shortly after his 18 year birthday, he declared himself as a Republican on the American high-level. A Twitter-contact with Patrick Crucios' name had a picture of the former American President, donald Trump, sitting at his desk in the White House. He also included a former Trump candidate who pointed it into the best way to protect the USA. The answer was the hashtag build the wall, no sanctuary cities, keep, get more open and ban Syrian refugees. So hashtags that are ready to be recognized against immigrants, refugees and other refugees. Only three years after these tweets, patrick Crucios' world, together with the parents, jordan and Andrea, and Chantos and 22 other families, was the most unneeded.
Speaker 1:On August 3, 2019, around 12 minutes over 10, the image board Achan was printed on the inside of the book. Because those who don't know what an image board is, can it be described as an internet forum that often takes the pictures of the beginning, which used discussions of various e-mails. The image board Achan was often associated with racist, narcissistic and extremist higher-oriented groups and users. In the book, four pages of long manifesto were printed, which, for the fathers, had dubbed the unparalleled truth. The manifesto was attached to a copy of the manuscript which I died one day. It was divided into six sections About me, political movements, economic movements, support reaction, personal emotions and thoughts. In the section about me, the author wrote that he was a fan of the higher-oriented man of the heart who was attacked by two muskets in New Zealand in March 2019, who hit 51 innocent Muslims again.
Speaker 1:The manifesto was a suede solution to the Latin American invasion and a broad theory about the highest, higher-class, the Great Replacement, or, in Danish, the Great Replication. The theory, which is close to the capital as a conspiracy theory, is a little bit of a content depending on where we are in the world, but in the US it is a short story about the political elite who deliberately tried to increase the number of ethnic minorities in attempts to establish the white American population. It is also a theory that is difficult, as the election of Donald Trump to the president has received relatively greater expansion among American voters, especially on the American higher-class. Here, more Republican politicians use terms like invasion to describe immigrants. The border between USA and Mexico, a rhetoric that has pushed the island under the burden of anti-immigration relations and violence. The manifesto on the Asian border was the father of a raised as the father of a mass immigration and the defense of Latin Americans. At the end of the last time, the economy and government were taken over.
Speaker 2:They are the descendants of, not me. I simply defend my country against cultural and ethnic discrimination. Before it was an invasion.
Speaker 1:El Paso had, in high regard, been a prominent point in the immigration debate. El Paso, if the name Spanish means the past, is only 5 km from the border between USA and Mexico and only 17 km from the Mexican city, the most populated city in the Mexican state, tijuana. El Paso is the city that has the largest share of Latin American buildings in the USA, with more than 40%. It is also a city where 10,000 Mexican people have a low cross-border limit every day to work and shop.
Speaker 1:The present president, donald Trump, visited El Paso in February 2019 to talk about the married mother who was an essential part of his campaign in 2016. The 9 meter tall grandmother was started in 2018 and was to prevent illegal Mexican immigrants from reaching the border to the USA. Trump again, who is so far away? In his rhetoric, he would have Mexico to pay for it. Trump said that the mother would make the USA more secure, but thousands of buildings in El Paso were demonstrated in protest. The former president, who was publicly held on the Internet Forum, achan, pointed out specifically to Texas as a symbol of what Donald Trump called the Latin American invasion. The manifesto was forced to write that the Democratic Party used the open borders and the free legal aid to illegal immigrants to make new choices. He therefore fled and the influence of the Latin American population in Texas wanted to convert the state to a high-level party for the Democratic Party. But the worst was the violent manifesto, where the manifesto turned into a surprising attack on the American invasion of Texas.
Speaker 1:The attack began only half an hour after the public event was held. On August 3, 2019, at 11.30 am, patrick Cruisius was taken out of his car on parking lot in front of a Walmart-brown facade in Alpato. The parking lot was packed with cars and people were on their way out of Walmart and the facilities were nearby. On each side of the gigantic brown Walmart locker with the characteristic yellow nest were two entrances. Here, in the middle had a group of young local football players who were standing in the living room and were selling lemonade food and collecting money into the club. Patrick Cruisius had been driving for 10 hours from his home town, allen in the northern part of Texas. 20 minutes before the opening. He had previously turned the car into a party on the right-oriented image board, etchan. He had a black t-shirt, a brown box and a black shoe which he could use to hold over the parking lot towards the entrance of Walmart's east entrance. Over the doors he had a hearing aid and in his hand a semi-automatic AK-47 military rifle and 1,000 cartridges. The first he met at the parking lot was 58-year-old Maria Yugenia Lagerrata Rote, who was from a familiar family of his in the Mexican district Chihuahua, which borders up to Texas. She was helping Paso to get his youngest daughter, natalia, in the airport when she decided to drive past Walmart, patrick Cruisius shot and hit her on the spot. He moved to Walmart's west entrance where the small football pitch was sold to the lemonade. 61-year-old Jorge Garvillo Garcia from Mexico was the one who visited his son Luis and his children, emily, who played for the local football club. When Jorge saw what Patrick Cruisius had done, he tried to scare the pitchers. It cost him his life. When Patrick Cruisius shot him several times, the courtman continued with the big Walmart sign and returned to Walmart's west entrance. The time was now 10.30 and Patrick Cruisius had 2 minutes to sleep and 2 people to sleep. He passed away here. He passed a McDonald's on his left side and turned towards the entrance of the boutique. When he met his 66-year-old, german-born Alex Hoffmann, who lived in Sidat-Joharras more than 40 years ago, he also hit him. His wife told the story later that Alex Hoffmann saw himself as a Mexican and a Mexican who was sitting at home.
Speaker 1:Cruisius continued on through Walmart and she had to get the cashers to pay the bank, where he shot and hit different people here, among the only 15-year-old Asian student, javier Rodriguez. Javier's uncle was shot in the foot but survived. Then Cruisius turned around and continued the 4 meters over towards the sky blue exit boxes with the yellow Walmart logo. Here he shot and hit several different people. He continued to return to Walmart's east entrance and went to the parking lot. It was 10.42 am and Patrick Cruisius had nearly 4 minutes to beat 23 people in the yard and slept 46 others. He went quiet and calm down to his car, sat down and drove out of the parking lot.
Speaker 1:In a while the police and the ambulance people began to arrive at the parking lot. Civil citizens had tried to help them to get hurt. They continued to transport the badly-dressed woman from the supermarket to the transport trucks to Møbler, which they most know from IKEA. A young woman with long-haired hair and dark black training pants was released in her arms by two police people and put on a transport truck. She was shot in the back and had a bullet hole in her back, over her own lungs. At a time point she fell down from the wound but was lifted up again. Then the black-haired women immediately went out of the first aid. Around 10.48 am, 9 minutes after the attack, a man with a black shirt, black shirt and a black jacket, ran out of Walmart with a baby arm, which was taken to the police.
Speaker 1:The shooting took place when Chondo Paes eldest daughter, 5 years in Skyland, went to cheerleading training. At a time the trainer, janet Greed-Jalva, heard that there was a shooting in the area. She got the children together and drove them home and she started calling their parents. Janet Greed-Jalva remembers it was a success to finish all the children's families near Skyland at Chondos. As the day went by she was more and more concerned. Skyland was asked come to my field soon, it's my birthday today. The trainer gave a little pig a yellow collar and decorated her snowy yellow matching color. They made spaghetti and bought a chocolate cake. They rubbed it with a hat and slapped it free. Maybe it was the last time they were happy to see Skyland alive. Shortly after she was told that both of her parents were arrested in the prison.
Speaker 1:The blonde woman who was shot in the back and had a hole in the support of a baseball man was Skyland's mother, the 23-year-old Jordan Anjondo. Skyland's father, andrea Anjondo, was shot in the supermarket while his father bought it for the little pig's birthday. He stood in front of his wife and son and was shot down by Patrick Crucius. Jordan Anjondo was two months old. Paul Anjondo in the prison and was shot down by the police when she fell on the floor in the supermarket. Her body was covered in powder and the baby was slapped with two broken fingers. Paul was the baby, the unknown black-haired man. Shortly after he ran out of Walmart At around 8.30 in the evening, andrea Anjondo's brother, tito Anjondo, wrote about his brother on Facebook. It's official, he's dead. Jordan Anjondo's family died after her without a trace. She was taken to the hospital and she later died alone.
Speaker 1:Before the dead, as I said, patrick Crucius left Walmart's parking lot after four minutes of shooting In the prison. By the way, and by the sun, two minutes of prison for the prison. He drove 11.06 in a left turn. He stood out of the car and passed out to two people who completely fell into the prison Only half an hour after the shooting began, 25 minutes after he hit the 23rd and last off. Patrick Crucius was released on February 20, guilty of abuse and against the death penalty of two and a half years. With his death penalty, he was not allowed to leave the city of Texas or to leave the city of the city of the city.
Speaker 1:The man of the heart was taken to the hospital and the result was far more pleasant. Among the dead were 13 American state officials, 8 Mexicans and a German. 17 of them were killed by 56 years or older 42 in the 40s, 2 in the 20s, 31 in the 30s and the youngest was only 15 years old. It was gymnasium students, bus drivers, doctors, hand workers and employees. All were innocent victims who had taken advantage of their human rights, which was a kind of a leather form.
Speaker 1:On September 3, 2019, a month after the attack, wallmart announced that they would stop selling ammunition to the handguns and combat vehicles in the US. They also asked their customers not to open the lights and carry the gun with their boutiques. As a little cry on the story about Baby Paul, the newspaper Alparso Times found a man who had taken Baby into safety after half a year. It was the 42-year-old Lassaro Poncha who had found Jordan and Baby. He described the supermarket as a horror movie, with sleeping and dead people with half the head shot. He first tried to help the dead woman, but he had to give up. After that, he took Baby and ran out to Wallmart to get him to the rescue. Lassaro Poncha had been homeless and had several phingesal stumps behind him, but had now been controlled. The attack on Wallmart in Alparso also got a political response, as in the attack on the public, and it also affected the family of the Chondos.
Speaker 2:The US president, donald Trump, tweeted after the attack that there was no reason or apology and some of them were just done, making people feel sorry.
Speaker 1:A few days after the attack, andré and Chondo and Jordan's two-month-old baby, paul, were dressed in a suit to meet the president. André and Chondo's brother, tito and Chondo told the press that André had had a lot of Trump's opinions and voted for him, but the image of the family against the president was not made by the White House. The family was met by the storm of hate and anger. You were voted for as Trump's support, wrote a letter to the social media.
Speaker 2:Your family heard the book and they said what you saw.
Speaker 1:Jordan and Chondo's family wanted to be political neutral and was worried that Trump's visit had thrown no political meaning in the story. I personally don't think there are any doubts about Patrick Crucius being directly inspired by Trump's tweets. A Twitter-contour that went out to hear Crucius' story the most popular one about building multiple borders. The person behind the contour was shocked by the fact that he had these views before Trump's time and that it was a true attempt to give President the guilt of so-called fake news. But there was a lot of rhetoric in Patrick Crucius' manifest that was almost directly copied from Trump's statements. Manifested characters are Latin American immigrants who are forced to steal American jobs. It also seems to be a white overhaven vote because they are the race among the population.
Speaker 1:Hullning and rhetoric which, in the FBI, has won a much larger role since Al Qaeda's attack on the USA on September 11, 2001. More Americans have actually died in the domestic attack than in the international attack on the last 20 years. The first nine months of 2019 were about 100 people were detained in the USA for planning the domestic attack, the same as the number of terrorists detained for planning international attacks during the same period. Interestingly enough, the American law does not allow people to see the plan to attack the USA, so they are instead seen as being haunted, raped or raped by conspirators. If we are to learn something about terrorism and attack the country today, it must be that social media in the West plays an important role in the radicalization of young people. It is people who strategically calculated work with to recruit and raise awareness about this. They believe in their political views, but there are also politicians who, in that regard, have the responsibility to what they write and talk about, which may not directly desire or encourage people to beat others in the back, but which, with hate speech, contribute to hate and abuse which so simply and gently inspires.
Speaker 1:You have listened to Taratox, a podcast about terror and radicalization. This episode was written, produced and told by me, natasja Ingeholm, while Nils Peter Nielsen made a voice for the people in the story. Also a big thanks to the consultant and journalist, lars Wiedberg, who contributed with saving and closing thoughts. The episode's killer is in Show Notes, where you listen to your podcast. I would also like to pay a big price if you would give the podcast a positive comment and tell it to friends and family who might be interested in listening to it. Listen to the next episode, where I tell you about a attack that caused a national failure to a marite
