There is a mystery and power in faith that has been transforming lives for millennia. This truth has been revealed in our latest podcast episode featuring a compelling conversation with Claire, a professional from the telecommunications field, who graciously shares her journey of faith and growth. Her story illustrates how faith in the smallest things has led her towards significant personal and professional growth.

Claire's narrative paints a vivid picture of the role faith plays in growth. She began her journey in the nascent stage of the telecommunications industry in Kenya, where mobile phones were a foreign concept. Her faithfulness and commitment to learning propelled her to a successful career. But it was her faith in God that remained the constant driving force behind her growth, echoing the biblical teaching that growth comes from God.

In our conversation, Claire brings to life the teachings of Jesus on prayer and growth. The Lord's Prayer, she believes, serves as a compass guiding us to seek daily increase and forgiveness. We are encouraged to call upon divine help in times of struggle, emphasizing the crucial role faith plays in our personal and professional lives. Claire's insights reveal the power of prayer as a tool for seeking guidance and growth, illuminating uncharted waters of faith and growth.

Prayer is more than a 911 call to God in times of crisis; it is an active conversation and a way of life. Claire reflects on how her prayer life evolved from 911 prayers to a deep, enriching dialogue with God, where she sought more than just emergency help. She shares how she yearned for a better way of engaging God, emphasizing the importance of seeking daily increase from God through prayer.

Faithfulness in small things, as Claire's story illustrates, is a key principle for growth. Whether in career progression, in relationships, or in our spiritual lives, being faithful in small matters is a stepping stone to bigger responsibilities and growth. Faithfulness and prayer thus emerge as integral components of growth.

The podcast concludes with a powerful prayer led by Claire, drawing on the teachings of the Lord's Prayer. She prays for those seeking growth, asking for daily increase, forgiveness, and divine help to pull them out of difficult situations. The prayer serves as a reminder that growth is a process and faithfulness in small things is the foundation for substantial growth.

Speaker 1:

Hi and welcome. I'm so excited to have my friend over. Her name is Claire. Welcome, claire. Thank you, marcy, it's nice to have you here. So today we will continue with our discussion on Papa's Gaudz bee. For us to be able to just get to know what is Gaudz bee, what is Papa's and how can we pursue Papa's Gaudz bee.

Speaker 2:

So, Claire, welcome, Thank you. I believe today we'll pick up from a discussion we had recently, which is growth. You know we this whole thing about growth. What is growth? How do I know I'm growing?

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, it's interesting. Let's hear growth. Let's hear the growth story from Claire. What does she do? How did she grow? How can you?

Speaker 2:

move. Yes, I didn't know that part. Then how do you move?

Speaker 1:

from one degree of glory to another. And then, how do you then apply? The same principles at the workplace that you learn in the Bible and to make you actually grow. So yeah, it will be interesting, so join me on as we walk this journey with Claire, I think.

Speaker 2:

Briefly, the first thing I would want to say is growth is from God. I think that if I forget any of the other lessons about growth, that is the one lesson I cannot forget. It's a constant reminder every day because when I look at my growth journey, you know I stepped into a career I didn't even ever think or imagine it was the advent of telecommunications in Kenya. And you know, someone tells me that there's this new company going to do mobile phones. The concept of mobile phones is not quite understood. It was foreign. However well, I took them on, did the application, went for the interviews and joined one of our telecommunication companies in Kenya in customer experience and there began my growth journey from one angle. So growth is for me, it's multi, multifaceted.

Speaker 1:

I'm reminded of the scripture that says in Luke, chapter two and verse 52, that Jesus in Christ, in wisdom, in stature and in favor with God and man.

Speaker 2:

Yes, after I joined this company, I think, applying my energy into learning, it was exciting, it was new, you know, and just putting in all my mind into what I was doing and learning as I kept going, and even from the get go, whatever I had been assigned my workstation or duty station is not what I ended up actually doing as my responsibility Because of that display of keen learning, I ended up going to set up, you know, a different section, together with a small team, and then the growth from there was, just now I can say, phenomenal, but I doubt that's how it felt when I was going through. But, you know, going all the way into training, then being exposed from training into marketing, and it went on.

Speaker 1:

So there's a part of faithfulness in small things, right? Oh yes. And Luke, chapter 16 and verse 10, says whoever and this is Jesus who's telling us, and so we need to be able to emulate this. So whoever is faithful in small matters will be faithful in large ones. Whoever is dishonest in small matters will be dishonest in large ones.

Speaker 1:

So, the part of importance here is faithfulness in small things. So the roles that you're given at your workplace, the roles that you apply for, the salary at that time may not be what you desire. And you can see your peers are earning a certain amount and you're thinking, lord, when will my salary reach? Comma zero, zero, comma zero zero. Yeah, when will I have multiple commas in my salary and my bank account? But God calls us for to faithfulness.

Speaker 2:

I'm reminded that I also grew in other areas of my life. I became a wife. You know a short distance. I'm working here.

Speaker 2:

I'm a mother and you know, kedogo, I'm an auntie. You know the things that you don't think you'll ever be called when you're young, you know, and so on and so forth. So the growth was happening in different areas, kedogo, the kind of things you I was doing, you know, when I was younger. You know you'd go out it's probably having fun with your friends and things like that. But even as I grew, somehow one of the things that I noted is at a point in time then I began to yearn for growth in my work with God. I was tired of prayers that were done out of habits being young, yeah.

Speaker 1:

How, then, at the marketplace now, with all that you've done, as you continue to grow, how then can you? What are some of the things that you can share that anyone listening today and even after is able to pick out?

Speaker 2:

from. In terms of growth, I think I talked about the number one, which was growth, comes from God. I think even in my ignorance, being young and being taught to pray, I sort of prayed that God would first open for me the door to join that job, and I did. And then, as time went, I realized I was praying 9-1-1 prayers. What are 9-1-1? You know? 9-1-1, emergency, your number, god, help me.

Speaker 2:

And we sort of get used to that because I think, growing up it's something you inherit, where people learn to go to God only when things are off. But why should it be that way? We serve our God of order. You look, he commands and it becomes, and we've seen that in Genesis. Let there be. And if that is the case, then why can't I stop? I got tired of those emergency prayers. Yes, there was the prayers in the morning asking God to guide me as I get into my day, and the prayers in the evening, but I yearned for something more. It's like my spirit knew there was something more, there was a better way of engaging God.

Speaker 1:

So how can we pray for somebody who is yearning for growth, yearning for growth at whatever facet? Either they want to transition from being single to being married and having a family, from their job, where they are at, to growth, both career-wise and also from an income perspective, if it's business, from either not having a business to having a business, and then, if it is where they are at in their business, to expand, to get outside of the current country they are in, to expand to other countries, to branch out. How can we pray?

Speaker 2:

for others. I believe one of the ways I learnt is, you know, the Bible tells us that the word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. So the way to go, I believe, is looking to the Word of God, looking at His Word, which is the Bible, and within it finding the steps or the direction that shows us how to pray. I mean, the disciples asked Jesus how should we pray? Teach us how to pray. I think that was in Matthew, and that's then where we get what we call today our Lord's Prayer. That has become sort of like a guide into how we should pray and even there there are some directions for growth, even in that prayer that we all understand or call our Lord's Prayer today.

Speaker 1:

Even as we pray today, that the Lord will then begin to ignite the fire of growth upon the people's lives and that people, upon praying and agreeing in prayer, that they will see God not only as a 911 God, but also as a faithful and everlasting God.

Speaker 2:

Yes, I agree, let's pray Amazing.

Speaker 1:

First, before Claire prays, I'd like to read from the Lord's Prayer, which is in Matthew 6, 9 to 13. This, then, is how you should pray, and this is what Jesus was telling his disciples and, in turn, telling us even today our Father, who in heaven hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors and leaders. Not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, so take it away.

Speaker 2:

Our dear heavenly Father, you who art in heaven, you who is above the earth, you who is great, you who is almighty, you who is overall Lord, we welcome you and this evening we just want to pray, lord, for your people who are seeking you this evening, that they may know that there is a great and almighty God, a God of increase, a God in whom they can place all their small fears and trust in, for you to give them growth, because you are fully capable, because you are glorious, you are the almighty God, you are everlasting, you are Jehovah, our God, and we ask that, mighty Father, this evening, dear God, you may help all the people who are listening, lord, even to this meeting, mighty Father, to be able to come to you because you are almighty, you live in heaven, you created and made us, oh God, we ask, mighty Father, even as we pray you taught us to pray to ask for daily bread, that we may have a daily increase, that they, too may enjoy the daily increase that you have promised us in this word that we have shared, dear Lord, that Lord, god, out of this daily increase, they will have a daily increase in sustenance, oh God, they will have a daily increase in growth in their physical, mighty Father, oh God, that they may grow in stature just like you did, oh God, because that is what you have with and that is what you have ordered, even as our God. Lord, we know that as we increase, the evil one is out there, mighty Father, and we are asking for your help, for your guidance, for ourselves and for even those listening, lord, to this recording, that, lord, that they may be forgiven. We are man.

Speaker 2:

We fail many times with trespass, in many ways, even as we are in the habit of seeking for increase, lord, may we not experience decrease because we have sought increase, contrary, lord, to your word, to your way into your truth. Forgive us, oh God. We ask for your forgiveness, even as we ask your Holy Spirit to help us. Forgive, lord, it is difficult, but only through your provision, only through your increase are we able to increase, even in forgiving those who have hurt us Most of difficult situations, situations that compromise, oh God, on you residing in our bodies, which are your temple. Mighty Father, that Lord, the evil one may not steal us from you, but then we may be hidden under your wings.

Speaker 2:

And, mighty God, overall, everlasting Father, we ask for that beautiful increase that you have willed in heaven, in the heavenly places, in the spiritual realm, will be our inheritance, even here on earth, that we may be able to increase in all facets and areas of our lives. Oh God, we give you glory, lord, we give you honor. Lord, we give you praise and we are thankful because you have given us good things, even that we may progress, and not only progress in our lives, but most of all progress with you, because success is only when you are glorified because we have progressed. We give you the honor, we give you the praise and we have prayed this mighty prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, our mighty, mighty Lord and Savior, amen.

Speaker 1:

Amen, amen, amen. Thank you so much, claire. And for anyone out there who desires growth, seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you. So ciao.
