The Walk by Mercy Munyange

Navigating life's journey can often feel like a solitary endeavor. We make decisions, face challenges, and chart our course often relying solely on our understanding. However, the wisdom found in Proverbs 16:3 - "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans" - suggests a different approach. This approach invites us to not just seek God's help when we're in crisis, but to include Him in every detail of our journey. This divine partnership is the core focus of our latest podcast episode, "Purpose God's Way."

Speaker 1:

Hi and welcome to the walk with me, masimunyange. We continue in the place of prayer to be able to just put our Papas to the Lord, and the Word of God in Proverbs 16 and verse 3 says Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. God has given you great plans. He has outlined to you what you need to do and now he's saying commit them back to me. Why would this be important? That you may be able to call unto the Lord? He would be able to give you the plans, and now he's telling you commit them back to me. So what I've seen with my walk in life is the Lord desires that he be part of our plans, and sometimes we go to God like it's a supermarket. You go, you get, you live. You go and apply the things that you have bought at home by yourself. Then, when there is a crisis, you go back to God. But now God is telling me and he is telling you commit the plans whatever you do, because he will establish them. Commit to the Lord whatever you do and he will establish them. Many a times I falter. Many a times I go to God and it's totally like a supermarket. I go, get my answer and get out. God gives me a direction in my heart, in my mind, through a phone call, through a friend, and I just live, I forget to commit. But what is God reminding us today? He is reminding us that, one, he desires to partner with us in the fulfillment of the very plan he has given you and I. Number two, he desires to guide us. And to number three, he also desires to establish us. So the plan he has given you great. You are very clear. This is the place that you ought to go. You're clear, this is the marriage partner you ought to marry. You're clear that this is the country you ought to relocate to for such a time as this, and you're very clear about many things in life. But now God is reminding us today in his word, in Proverbs 16 and verse 3, commit to the Lord whatever you do, whatever, every single thing, every step of the way. And sometimes it's very difficult because you're like, yeah, I know, sometimes you feel like God is not into the details, but guess what? He is inviting you to commit, whatever you do, everything, your big detail, your small detail, to him and he will guide you and he will indeed establish your plans. So let us pray and let us partner with the Lord Most High, our Lord Jesus Christ, who is telling us I have given you this plan, I desire to guide you as you walk through your journey in life and I desire to establish every plan I have given you. So let us pray together, in agreement.

Speaker 1:

Our Lord and our God, we just want to thank you for the great plans that you have for us. We thank you, god, because you desire for us to bring these plans back to you and to commit them to you, and to commit whatever we do to you. Oh God, father, we thank you because you desire to partner with us. We thank you, oh God, because you desire to guide us in whatever we do. We thank you further because you also desire to establish the plans that you have for us, father. Indeed, we thank you because clarity comes even as we continue to recommit and commit the plans that you have given us, the purpose that you've given us, every single dream that you've given us, the big dream, the small dream, oh God. And so, father, we just pray that you will help us to remember to always commit and recommit every plan and whatever we do to you, because you desire to establish it, oh God.

Speaker 1:

Father, forgive us for where we have run ahead of you, oh God, forgive us where we have come to you asking for direction and then run away and not come back to you, neither recommitted the plans, oh God, and gone and established and partnered with various evil people who have brought us down.

Speaker 1:

But, father, because we know that you're reaching Marci and abounding in love, you're receiving us again and you're embracing us again in forgiveness and you're saying that, as your child, that you desire to walk with us again and to reestablish us again. And so, father, we thank you because of the promise that you have in us and for us, for indeed you are our God and our Lord. Guide us as we commit all our plans to you. Guide us as we walk in this path of life with you, oh God, and guide us ultimately, mighty God and mighty, redeemer that at the end of it, when you establish every plan that you have in store for us, oh God, that indeed all glory and honor will go back to you. So, father, be the art exalted this day, both now and forever. In Jesus name, we do, pray and believe. Amen.
