Speaker 1:

Today we shall be discussing faith that moves mountains. Are there certain mountains in your life that you have prayed over? You have done everything that you know how to do, and they simply cannot move. According to Matthew 17 and verse 20, jesus was speaking to his disciples and he says he replied because you have so little faith. Truly, I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain move from here to there, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.

Speaker 1:

I've often tried to ask myself what does it mean to have faith, and not only faith, but the kind of faith that moves mountains, that changes the things that trouble me or that I desire to have to own or to do? I am reminded of what the Word of God says in Hebrews, chapter 11 and verse 1. Now, faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. The King James version says now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. So there are certain things that you hope for, you desire for yourself, for your family, but you don't see them. They are truly the evidence of what is not seen. But then we are encouraged to have faith. There is the reality versus faith. What does the reality tell you? The reality tells me I either cannot afford this because I do not have money, because my bank account is speaking to me. That is the reality. That is what I see. But then life is spiritual and so we are looking at things from the faith perspective. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Do you hope a better life for yourself, for your family, for your children, for your nation? But you do not see these things. It is truly the evidence of things not seen. Do you have a problem that has been streaming through generations for your family, for your bloodline, even in your nation? And here we're encouraged to speak to the mountain and tell it more from here to there. Are you hoping for something that you do not see?

Speaker 1:

The Word of God in Hebrews 11 16 continues to tell us and without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he is the rewarder of those who seek him diligently. Therefore, for you to have faith that moves the mountain, you must desire to please this God. Secondly, you must believe that God does exist and, thirdly, that you must believe that he is the rewarder of those who honestly seek him and then, therefore, as your faith is built up in your belief and in your hope for what you cannot see, you're able to stand on the promises of God over your life and indeed, say this mountain ought to move from here to there, be it a sickness, be it a luck, in one way or another, but the promises of God say that you will be healed, that you will be prosperous, that you will be the head and not the tail. Therefore, you're able to tell the mountain that is presenting itself that you are healed, that you are the head and not the tail, and that you will lack nothing at any given time because your God is with you. So let us pray that God will increase your faith and that you will indeed, with each waking day, be able to say to this mountain move from here to there.

Speaker 1:

Let us pray Our Lord and our God be come before you this day with thanksgiving in our hearts.

Speaker 1:

We thank you, god, because you are good and there is no other God like you.

Speaker 1:

We say further help us in our unbelief and we pray that, mighty God, you will enable us to seek you and seek you diligently, because you are the rewarder of they that diligently seek you.

Speaker 1:

May we stand on the promise that you have given unto us that, when we say to any mountain move from here to there, that we may be able to believe that every single promise in our lives will come to pass. And so, further, help us and build us to be able to see the things that we hope for and the things that we do not see. And we will hold on to the promises that you have given unto us, our families, our nations and everything that concerns us, that, indeed, at the end of it all, we shall be able to give glory and honor to you. Oh God, father, thank you, because your word is very clear, that you tell us to speak to the mountain and to tell the mountain to move from here to there. And so, as we speak today and every day of our lives, may our faith grow and may we be able to see that which we are honestly seeking you for. Father, we bless you and we glorify you, for we pray all this, believing and trusting in Jesus name, amen.
