Today, Charlie explores a topic that resonates with many of us: Pressure. In a world that seems to be spiraling into more and more chaos, pressure is an inevitable part of our lives. But how we respond to it can make all the difference.

Key Points from This Episode:

1. Understanding Pressure:
   - Charlie discusses the omnipresent nature of pressure in today's world, touching on how many seek relief in various ways.

2. Pressure’s Dual Nature:
   - The episode delves into the two outcomes of pressure: it can either cause a breakdown, like a pipe bursting, or lead to creating something beautiful and strong, like a diamond.

3. The Plumber's Analogy:
   - Drawing from his experiences as a plumber, Charlie vividly illustrates how improperly handled pressure can lead to failure, likening it to our lives and how we manage stress and challenges.

4. Responses to Pressure:
   - Pressed Down: Examining what comes out of us when we’re under pressure and emphasizing the importance of self-awareness.
   - Pressing In: Encouraging listeners to engage and push through feelings of apathy or complacency actively.
   - Pressing On: Motivating those weary to continue moving forward, underlining the importance of perseverance.

Relevant Scripture:

- Psalm 131: "Hope now, hope always, trust in the Lord."

Conclusion:

Charlie wraps up the episode by posing a crucial question: In the face of pressure, will you burst or transform into a diamond? This powerful metaphor challenges listeners to reflect on their responses to life's pressures.

Ah, pressure. Pressure. That's what I'm seeing a lot of today. What it, what it's creating is more pressure. Pressure because you're looking for a pressure release valve, hoping that politics and the right statements and all of this is going to relieve it. Like, man, we, we just need to get out of this. Well. Pressure is what you getting right now. Pressure is all we got right now. Now, I want you to listen. I need you to understand. Pressure does one of two things for you. It does one of two things.=Pressure bus pipes. Yeah. Pressure bus pipes. I used to be a plumber putting in pools in Florida and we used to test the pipes to make sure that we had done our job well. And if we had not done our job well, when we applied the pressure, after seals that we put on were not, properly placed, it will bust the pipe. Some of us are getting busted right now. Second, second thing it does is create diamonds. That's right. Pressure creates. Diamonds. Don't just bust pipes. Pressure also brings out the absolute best and those in the right situation and the right context. It's hot, it's hard, it's frustrating, but something is being renewed and created in us. So, pressure does one of two things. Bust pipes or create diamonds. Here's what I need you to do. Listen. Some of us are being pressed down. Alright, being pressed down and what does that mean? When we're being pressed down, whatever is in us that we've invested in, that we've been taking in, consuming, is coming out of us and some of that is good. Some of it is oil and our cup is overflowing and some of it is trash and we smell it like hot garbage. So, I need you to check yourself, alright, because you're being pressed down. Some of us, need to press in. You feeling apathetic? You feeling, complacent? Feeling sluggish? I need you to press in. I need you to push. I need you to climb. You need to climb. You need to resist the urge to be comfortable all the time. You gotta press in third. Some of us need to press on. Some of you are getting tired. You've been walking. You try to keep your head up, try to keep some hope. Psalm 131 says, hope now, hope always, trust in the Lord. Listen. Some of you need to press on. Keep on going because we know pressure bust pipes and pressure creates diamonds. Which one will you be? Peace.
