Welcome to the brand-new Futurebuilders podcast by PT1 – PropTech1 Ventures where some of the leading voices in real estate innovation share their thoughts. Be sure to subscribe, so you never miss an episode. The real estate industry is facing fundamental transformation, now more than ever, and thousands of startups across Europe are building the future by providing innovative solutions.

Over the next two months, your host Kingma Ma and his colleagues from the PT1 team will drop a new episode every week. PT1 is building the European venture capital platform for transformative real estate technologies and is all about investing and supporting futurebuilders: innovative entrepreneurs from across Europe that tackle the global challenges of our time created by increasing scarcity of natural resources, affordable living space and skilled labour. Every week, we will interview these futurebuilders, whether they come from the startup or corporate side, to talk about their mission of shaping the future of the built world.

For regulatory reasons, it is necessary to point out that this is marketing communication and that investors interested to invest in PT1 should make their investment decision based on the legal documentation.

This first season, we will focus in particular on the role of PropTech in tackling energy issues. The built environment has a significant role to play in the fight against climate change, by decarbonising existing assets as well as building new renewable energy generation assets and more energy-efficient buildings. At the same time, the majority of the carbon footprint for most people comes from heating and powering their homes, which makes the intersection of energy and real estate a particularly relevant topic during a time when energy prices and therefore also inflation and the cost of living have reached new levels. We have thus lined up an experienced list of energy industry expert operators, investors and startup founders to share with you their perspectives and solutions to the topic of creating efficiency and sustainability in the overlap between energy and the built world.
