You are officially part of our mission to create inspirational, intergenerational connections through one chat at a time. I'm your host, Nicole Suen. I am what you call an old soul. Since I was a kid, I have a special bond with my grandfather. He is my mentor storyteller and inspiration. I used to think I was a bit weird because I like to make friends with people who are from much earlier generations than I am. Now, I see it as a special gift to be able to listen, communicate, and be friends with many more than elders. I have volunteered to service older adults from teaching them how to use technology to do weekly hangouts with them.

People often think they're lucky to have my company. The truth is, I am blessed to have met and call them my friends and inspirations. Their wisdom and experience have guided me in my life, from career health to relationships. That's why I started the Beyondhood podcast so you can have the same opportunity. Beyondhood, the name comes from going beyond elderhood. It's a social enterprise that connects vibrant and experienced adults usually aged 60 and above with young expats who want a chat that is full of wisdom and life experience. We create inspirational, fun, meaningful, intergenerational connections. In each episode, I will invite and interview a beyonder to share their lives, the ups and downs in their career, health and love so that you can listen to a real history lesson. Through the stories, you will be able to appreciate older adults' wisdom and life experience and rethink and rediscover how to live life fully and age with grace and meaning.
