She also opens up about her father's battle with cancer and the emotional toll it takes. Throughout the episode, Sarah emphasizes the importance of processing and finding joy in the midst of grief and challenges.
SHOW NOTES!
when Sarah first started dancing spontaneously in worship-
“We were seeing what Sarah was feeling on the inside coming out of her. People were not that vulnerable. So, when you actually saw it, it melted you.” - Molly
“That vulnerability is what true worship really is” -Suzy
a most holy moment-
“I didn’t want to be in front of people but I knew God loved it. I don’t dance much anymore, but I sing some still- it’s not my temperament or personality to be on stage- but when I’m there I feel like my true self and I feel so connected to the Lord….
…I feel like my true self when I’m worshiping. When I’m in it, I can forget about everybody else and just feel the Lord's pleasure. Like ‘Chariots of Fire,’ I always think about that- when he ran, he felt the Lord's pleasure. When I danced I felt the Lord's pleasure and now, when I sing, I feel the Lord's pleasure.”
“My piece to the worship puzzle is my vulnerability. I think we all, in our own ways, can grow in it. The industry pushed perfection for us to feel safe. Vulnerability is not safe.I get that”
a thought to end with-
Vulnerability may not always be or feel safe for the giver. But it might just be better than calculated perfection. It’s worth thinking about to feel the Lord’s pleasure.
