Samantha Charles

Host Sam and Co-host Anthony discuss the art of De-Armoring.

When you started your journey through life, you had barely a care in the world, only to eat, sleep, and be loved. Along the way, we learned that some of these things were more difficult than others, based on the environment we were in.

In short, over time, you built up walls. You put on armor.

We all do it for one reason or another. We become more safe when we put the armor on, giving ourselves reasons to not trust others, not trust ourselves, and set up defenses to being hurt again.

De-armoring is the process of removing those walls. But how can you do that? How can you take the armor off?

The example of the Knight in Rusty Armor shows that through this one thing, the armor begins to fall:

Tears.

It is through our vulnerability and opening ourselves up to the wounds that we have and the feelings around them that allow us to shed our armor. It's not always an easy process.

Through this episode of the podcast, hear real-life tales of de-armoring that both Sam and Anthony have experienced, each in different ways. De-armoring of the heart and de-armoring of the yoni are ways in which you can engage in de-armoring through connection with another person or even with yourself. And when you commit to the process, you will begin to feel the armor melt away, making room for all the sensations life has to offer.
