Hello. Welcome to the show today. Let's move some inventory that isn't selling. You want to? All right. Today we are going to learn one of my favorite hacks for moving inventory that feels a bit stale, hasn't moved. You've tried all the things and you're like, okay, I just want this stuff gone. I need some new and fresh and I'm over it. If this sounds like you, I'm going to talk about one way that you can get this done. That's actually a pretty effective and pretty useful. In fact, I would The reason why I'm bringing it up is because I was having a conversation with a private client last week and she was telling me about some inventory that she wanted to get rid of. And I was kind of looking and seeing what she was doing at the time. And she was posting, um, you know, on her feeds that she was having a sale, 50 percent off, and wasn't getting a lot of bites. And what I said to her was, okay, you really want to do this? And she's like, yep. And I said, okay, here's what you got, what you got to do. Now this can be a little bit of a tedious process. It can take a little bit of work, but we are not scared of that. We are more than happy to do what it takes to sell product. So let me talk to you about one of my favorite hacks, which is sale threads. These work best in Facebook and they are extremely effective. So this is why I also want to have like a major focus again on Facebook for 2025. I feel like everybody sleeps on Facebook because we just want to like grow on Instagram, grow on Tik TOK, blah, blah, blah. But Facebook is a major converter in our market. No matter what kind of products you sell, Facebook is so, um, fabulous for conversion. There's, there's a lot of reasons why. That's for another podcast episode, but today I want to talk to you about sale threads and how to do them And this is a great hack that you could try today literally to move inventory for your store Okay, so what she was doing at the time was again. She was posting that she was having a sale So this was happening. I mean for multiple weeks She was trying to move inventory and she was posting, you know, 50 percent off sale on the website Same thing with her IG stories 50 percent off That was really it. The problem with that is that that gets to be a lot of noise and you, and you don't really, it's not very effective. Just saying I'm having a 50 percent off sale. It's like, whoop dee doo. So is everybody else. Okay. So. What are you going to do to grab their attention and create a sense of urgency and scarcity, which are two of the most powerful marketing tactics in our world and move some product when you feel like you're posting and no one even cares that you're selling it for 50 percent off, which is basically like almost your cost, right? Some of you even below cost. So what we want to do instead of Dead is gather everybody together in one post and get them excited and, and involved and engaged in the sale thread. So what this looks like is a post, it could be a graphic, it could be a picture where it's you saying this is. All pieces here are final sale, whatever the verbiage is. Um, you can DM me and I can send you some examples, but, uh, on, on Instagram, please not tick tock. My tick tock DMS get crazy and lost and sometimes I don't see them for several days, but on IG, my DMS, like I'm in there every day. So what I want you to do is post your initial post on your feed on Facebook. There's two places we'll do this. We'll talk about Facebook first. And what it says, again, is you're letting people know that in this specific thread, they need to follow the thread because you're having a blowout sale. 50 percent off and more, or whatever the case is. Um, first to claim gets the item, how they're going to claim it, which most people will do like the size they want and their email address. Okay, so you're gonna be sending out invoices for this stuff. You can also mention, don't claim if you're not, if you can't pay within whatever your, your timeframe is. Most people will do 24 hours. Some will do two hours, whatever. If you're like, I don't want any messing around, like pay your invoice within two hours. Totally fine. These are your rules. You get to create them and you'll probably tweak them the more you use these, this sale thread hack. Okay. So that's it. That's the initial post. Some of that can be written on text on a graphic or it could be in a caption with some kind of like, um, you know, interesting looking photograph just to gather attention or to grab attention for the thread. Okay. So that's what the post is in the comments. Of that post is where you are selling your items. Now, don't get bogged down by the intricacies of having perfect product photos or anything like that. We are moving inventory. We are, um, just going to be posting whatever pictures we can get of the inventory. If you don't have a great picture, you take a flat lay. You just sit there. Take a picture of it on a hanger, whatever. It's fast and we move. Okay. And another tactic some people will do is, um, they'll say like the sale starts in 24 hours, like this post to be notified that way. Um, most people. People have in their notifications turned on if they've already engaged with the post and there's activity on it, it will pop back into their feed. So that's something that, um, just a little pro tip there. You may want to say like sale starts in 12 hours, um, like this post to be notified so you don't miss out. The whole idea is creating urgency. There's not a lot of this left. It's great deals. You have to be here to, um, like you have to be available to get your items you want. Like don't mess around, be aware this is going on. We're creating scarcity and urgency. Okay. Very powerful emotions to get people to buy. So once you have created that thread, then again in the comments, that's where you're dropping everything that's available in this video. So you could break it up. If you have like tops, bottoms, shoes, you could break it up by that in your thread. Like this is the sale 50 percent off shoes. This is the sale 50 percent off tops. Or you could just do one general thread. It's kind of up to you. You can play around and see what works for you. Um, if you have a lot of items, you may want to split it up, but you may not. That's totally up to you. It's going to work either way. So don't stress out about the little intricacies here. Okay? So in each comment you post, First you are going to put one item that is available for sale. So let's say it's black dress, two mediums, one large left, originally 99, sale price 49, comment to claim, size and email address. You're giving them all the information in the comment with the picture. Following me here? That way, your customers who are following the thread and are shopping are going to see what the product is, what you have left, urgency and scarcity, um, or scarcity, right? You only have one medium left. That's not a lot. Scarcity. So they want to snag it right then and there. They don't want to miss out. So what the product is, how many you have left, original price. sale price to give them that sense of, Ooh, this is a great deal. A lot of times people use, we'll use like 49. 99 in the sale price because it just creates that sense of sale. It's on sale. So, um, that's what you're going to do on your comment. Okay. And you're going to repeat that for every single item that you want to move in that same sale thread. So it's going to be Your post about the thread comment one What is product number one comment to product number two comment three product number three? Okay, four five six seven eight nine ten as as many as you want You will see your customers start to jump on these items and you will start moving inventory that literally has been sitting For as long as it has forever. It feels like probably but because it's in this format You This sense of like exciting, you got to snag it while it's there. Instead of just saying 50 percent off, go to my website. That doesn't drive people anymore. That doesn't create enough energy and excitement for them to buy. It's just the cold hard truth. So that's the secret. sale thread hack that I recommend. And what's going to happen is your customers will comment back on that photo and they'll say, Oh, um, I want the black dress in a medium. My email address is, is happy person at gmail. com. And then you'll reply and say, got it. And you'll send them an invoice from your Shopify to their email address. Okay, and they'll pay the invoice and away you go. Be sure you include shipping. It may be, maybe you offer free shipping on this stuff. I don't know. It's up to you, but if you're, if you aren't, be sure you include shipping on the invoice. That's how this works. And this will move a crap ton of inventory for you really super quickly. And I, it's funny. And the reason why I made this video. Podcast episode is because I watched my client who I suggested it to do it yesterday and I was like, Oh my gosh, 75 comments. Yes. Like she was just moving, moving, moving, moving inventory. It was amazing. And again, this was stuff that had been sitting there and you know, she'd even tried the sale threads in the past, but just because you tried it in the past doesn't mean you shouldn't try it again. Cause we don't look at the results from the past to determine what our results will be this time. Try it again. Do it again. Okay. The other portion of this I want to offer is you can also do this on IG stories. It, again, both of these things are, it is tedious. It is work. It's going to take a lot of work for you to get all this, you know, all the photographs, the comments, everything up there on Facebook, but it's worth it. What if you did like 5, 000 in sales in an hour? Is it worth it to you? Yeah. So go do it. So then on IG stories, you could do the same thing. You just go slide by slide by slide. And a great tactic is as stuff sells, you add the slide back on your IG stories again and you cross off the one that's sold. This creates, creates incredible urgency and incredible scarcity and your customers are going to be so like, yes, let me buy. And then, um, that is really the two main avenues that I recommend using this. Sales hack, this hack that's going to really help you push inventory and get it out the door and get it out the door. Okay. Well, you guys, how are you feeling? Does that feel good? Are you going to try the sale thread hack? One of the best ways you can move inventory. Yes. You're not in your head. Yes. Over there. Good. I love it. Okay. Do me a favor after this episode. Will you go to my podcast show page and will you give me a five star review? I'm just going to. Okay.
