Speaker 11:

Hello, welcome to the Allie Dee show. I have had the most incredible 24 hours and I just want to recap for you everything that went on. So I'm so excited to record today's episode. Hope you're doing amazing. Let's lock in. Let's listen, take some notes, save and share this episode. But I want you to really, really listen to what we're going to talk about today because The past 24 hours, I was lucky enough to have been invited to MC slash moderate two separate events. And this was obviously a really big honor for me. I'm thrilled whenever I'm invited to do any kind of speaking or moderating, MCing, anything. But these two events were They just blew my mind and actually what's funny is what I'm thinking about right now how they were so different and The lessons learned were so incredible So what's funny is like they're polar opposites the first event that I was invited to MC was Uh, an event where I was doing like a moderating Q and A with the Dallas Mavericks CEO. So he's a new CEO. He's been with the team for about two months and I was invited to have like an hour long conversation with him. In a room with all of these major CEOs from around Dallas, around Texas, actually it was like nationwide. I didn't even realize that some of these people flew in to actually be a part of this conversation. Uh, because it was all about the Mavs, their, his vision for the future. Um, it was just a really, really. interesting and amazing conversation to be a part of and to kind of lead through, um, not only obviously with the CEO of the Mavs, but also the CEOs that were in attendance. It's a huge honor. So amazing. So there was that event. And then literally like 12 hours later, uh, today I hosted a different event. This event was 1, 000 high school slash middle school girls, and it was all about empowering them women's empowerment and it had an incredible lineup of panelists and speakers and guests that were there. So I got to emcee and kind of moderate that event as well. I should say kind of like run that event. On, on the mic in front of all these girls. So here I am on one hand putting on like the corporate alley hat and then the other hand I'm like putting on the party alley hat because it's two totally separate, separate types of rooms, right? Obviously the CEOs is a very serious, more formal. I mean it was still a casual conversation, but it felt very You know, formal in a sense, you know, in like a small, you know, kind of ballroom slash meeting room. Um, very, very, very bougie, fancy hors d'oeuvres. You know, like I saw, like, I just wanted to go to the hors d'oeuvre table, but I was trying to be professional, so I didn't just go, you know, eat everything. But I saw, like, little brie slices with some, like, blueberry jam. Something like that on a, on a little tiny piece of toast. I was like, my mouth is watering thinking about it. I saw those. I saw little, like, desserts. I mean It was delicious, but I, like I said, I kept my cool. I just stayed focused on the task at hand, and I did not raid the snack table, even though I wanted to. And then the other event today was like, screaming wild. Like, I felt like I was at, I don't know, a Justin Bieber concert, where you're just like, the screaming of the girls was like, so just awesome. Like, the energy was amazing. It's probably one of my favorite events I've ever been a part of. Not only because we're, you know, the speaker's amazing, but the girls that were there were amazing as well. Like being able to be around the youth and, you know, be a part of the conversation of how to be empowered and look towards the future and everything. So guys, what I did was like the nerd I am, I took a bunch of notes. So after my CEO, Um, event. I like did a mini brain dump in my phone. Just all the things that I found that were so interesting about that event because I wanted to come on here and tell you guys about it because here's the deal from the past 24 hours I was around some of the top players in multiple industries. I'm talking retail like us. I'm talking, you know, product based. I'm talking athletes, uh, authors, doctors. Um, computer scientists, Miss Texas, like literally people that are so successful cream of the crop, top of their game. And so what I was doing to paying attention as we're going through March to millions right now inside the trendsetter membership, it's all about helping you build your path to your million dollar company. So as I'm looking at all these people that have had so much success in their life, I was taking notes on what commonalities am I seeing amongst all of these various types of men and women that are, that are at the, the, you know, Top of their game because I want it to come on here on the Ali D show and spill the tea So, you know what these commonalities are so you can look to Implement that in your own life in your own growth because lord knows I am taking notes over here to make sure that I am Doing these things as well So I've got some notes here on my phone that I just kind of want to go through Talk about what I've learned the past 24 hours I mean not to be dramatic or anything but Honestly, I feel like a totally different person today after these two events. Just seeing the stories, seeing the success, there's nothing like being in a room like a literal physical room surrounded by so many winners. And I'm not saying that they're perfect, and I'm not saying that they didn't have, you know, they didn't go through all the shiz that we go through because they did and they talked about it. So it's not a smooth road. It's not like I'm putting them on a pedestal. But what I am saying is, success leaves clues. And there was a lot of things that I was noticing and writing down that I heard this, all these amazing people saying over and over and over again. And also some, some observations that I had that I'll get into as well. So the first thing I want to mention is when the CEO event was going down There was like a time period, you know Probably like a 30 minute time period from one when guests arrived to when I started the program So those 30 minutes what I noticed was and again This was the CEO's biggest and best businesses from around the country flying into Dallas to be at this event I still can't believe they asked me to emcee this like Wow. Okay. Anyways, um, thank God your girl held it together because I was nervous before this event. Let me tell you, I was shaking a little bit in my boots. I was nervous, but I was like, I can do this. We got this. So anyways, the first thing I noticed and I was making notes of this was that those 30 minutes, you know how it can be really awkward when you like get to an event and everyone's just kind of quiet in their own little zone. This was not like that. These people were all interacting. They were, they were networking up the wazoo. And they went right into it. There was no awkward cringe time. Like when there's like the breaking the ice, like these people are pros. There was no icebreaker necessary. They own the room. They walked in, they own the room. They, um, they, it was not a snobby thing. It was not like a, you know, Oh, I'm like the best. It was like a, you know, a very like. I know a lot of times if we go to events or even like just going to Dallas Market and going into a vendor booth, like you can feel maybe like, Especially if you're like, Ooh, I don't have a great big budget yet. Or I'm still new or I'm just shopping around. I don't really know what I'm doing. Like you feel that intimidation factor. But I just want to tell you is you deserve space in that, in that booth. Take up your space. Don't shy away. Don't hide in the corner. Don't back off what you really want because your, your, your nerves get the best of you. You got to act like, act as if, right? So act as if you're going in there and you're fricking baller and you're like, I'm ready. I'm ready to roll. You know, whether you buy something or not, that's the attitude you need to have. And I watched that between all of these really successful business owners. And I was like, okay, this is really interesting to me that they just walk in and like, Start chatting and they're all chitty chatting. Okay. So that was one thing that I noticed really interesting right off the bat. Another thing that I noticed was for example, during the conversation that I was having with the Mav CEO and as I was asking him questions, everybody was very engaged with the conversation, not from, they weren't speaking, they weren't talking, but they were like really laser focused. On being present in the room, nobody was on their phones guys. Like nobody, there was nobody like randomly scrolling. There was nobody like doing a selfie. There was nobody like there was no, they were not distracted. They were present in the moment. So how many times are we, you know, Um, like maybe like, I don't know, even when you're in like a training inside trendsetter or you're doing something for your business and, and you're getting distracted by your phone or, you know, I don't know, something on the TV or whatever the case may be. They were like, I'm here for this event. My focus is on this task and nothing else. And I see this with a lot of successful people. This is why I always tell you don't multitask because you're not giving it your all. You're giving it half energy. Maybe even less. So stay focused on the task at hand. Again, if you are doing anything in your business, do not let stuff distract you. Do not multitask. The most successful people, they're not multitasking up in here. Okay, they're not chaotic They're not running around trying to get ten things done at once. They know that each Task deserves their full energy. I I was just like are you guys eating this up? Or is this just me like I was geeking out over this stuff. Okay? So now kind of moving into what I saw, you know in I guess in more so of the event today the speakers today But it, it, it, I saw a lot from both, but I want to specifically say today we had a lot of, a variety of speakers and panelists. Like I said, there was people that were incredibly talented at the industry they were in, whether they were an athlete again, whether they were, um, you know, uh, like I said, a computer scientist, we had an infectious disease doctor there. We had, um, you know, top female athletes in the WNBA and professional soccer. We had one male basketball player there, but otherwise everybody else was female. And, um, actually an incredible woman who's in the, um, basketball hall of fame, first female assistant coach in the NBA. So really truly some incredible freaking leaders. Up in here and Miss Texas, by the way, which that's a whole vibe If you happen to listen to this today Go look at my Instagram stories and you will see a picture of her and I but I'm obsessed with her and if you don't See the picture DM me I will send it to you because I want you to follow her Tell her I sent you Ali D be like, oh my god, Ali D is raping about you. She's truly amazing literally like Next like well, probably not next president of the United States because you have to be a certain age But I mean certainly capable of literally anything She's such an inspiration and she's 20 years younger than me. So what I noticed, all of these speakers mentioned, all of them, okay, that were all at the top of their game said fear was a big part of this process, fear. We know, and I tell you all the time that on the other side of our biggest fears are our biggest rewards. And I know that from personal experience in the retail industry, specifically what I talk about with you guys. But me seeing that that's true, not only just for our industry, but everybody goes through this. It doesn't matter what the industry is. If you're trying to be the best, you got to jump away from the comfy zone. And when you do that, it's fricking scary. So for us, this can show up as like, You know, a fear of creating content, a fear of people judging us, a fear of not knowing enough, a fear of failure, a fear of buying the wrong inventory. The list goes on and on and on and on, right? A fear of what Sally Sue from high school's gonna say. The fear of what our family's gonna say, all the things. But these fears though, they are valid and normal. Like, can we just normalize this because I saw it amongst everybody today. We still have to be like, I get you, I see you fear, but I know that my big reward is me pushing through this fear. So it's about recognizing it, seeing it's there, and then going deep down inside to push through it and conquer it. So fear, super common. Everybody talked about it. Everybody mentioned it was something they went through. In across the board, another very interesting thing that they all mentioned was the importance of having your support group, your cheerleaders, not the naysayers. Okay. And in our industry in particular, I feel like, I don't know why, and you guys may feel this way too, but like, I feel like we're judged more than other industries when it comes to starting a business. Like, Oh, you're going to start, you know, your own business. You're going to start a boutique. You're going to start an online store. You're going to start a Shopify. Oh, cute. Cool. Good luck. Like, do you guys get those vibes? So they, those are like naysayers. Sometimes they're passive aggressive. Sometimes they come out and just say it like, Oh, are you sure you can do that? And sometimes, you know, they don't say it, but their eyes or whatever, their expression says it all, or they tell you something like, Oh, how cute. Right. Good luck. It's like, geez, thanks. These are naysayers. We want to, and I've talked about this inside the membership with you guys too, all the time about protecting your boundaries and your energy. Every one of them talked about having that important support group. This can be one person, like literally your mom. Maybe it's your mom, your sister, an aunt, a friend, um, you know, a mentor. Frickin me, I will be this person for you. But you need to have someone that's a cheerleader for you. Because you will face a lot of ups and downs. And you gotta protect yourself from the naysayers, the negative Nancy's, those that don't get us. They don't get being outside the box. They don't get going all in on a dream. They don't get this life that we've chosen to live. They don't get it. And that's okay. We love them anyways. But you gotta find people that are in your corner. That can be me. I am rooting you on. DM me. Allie. I need a cheerleader and I will be here for you. The whole trendsetter community is full of cheerleaders. And I built this membership like that for a reason. I don't want naysayers in there. I don't want negative Nancy's in there because I have to be protective of the energy inside the membership. I do hold the standard in here. And if anyone, not that this has happened, but if anyone came in with the wrong vibes, you gots to go. Because this is a place where we cheer each other on, where we support each other. And I know from seeing that today. From everybody in that room that the importance of a tribe of cheerleaders or your team, your support team is really, really important. Again, this doesn't mean we have to cut out the people in our lives that don't get it. We just love them, but we don't have to talk about this stuff with them. Cause they just won't get it and it's gonna make you upset. So keep it to us in the trust tree, the support group. Keep us as your cheerleaders. Okay? Um, another interesting thing that I that I I saw That I felt was like I felt like it was an interesting insight because I think it was from the perspective of the young girls Watching because I heard the same question a lot from them, which was how do you have the confidence to keep going? When things aren't going your way and some of them said like when you're sad, you know they use different language like or when you feel like depressed and it was kind of like it was really eye opening for me because I Could see a lot of these young girls want big things for themselves, but they're already facing The self doubt or the judgment or whatever it is that that's keeping them from pushing through. So how do you have the confidence to continue to move forward even when I say in our, you know, quote unquote adult world around here is even when there's not a lot of evidence showing you that what you're doing is gonna have a big payoff in the end. Here's the deal. With all of these incredible people, there was so much work going on behind the scenes. For years, right, that was going on, but all you see now is them at their best, at their peaks, at their pinnacles. And as some of that, I mean, they're still obviously growing and becoming even more incredible by the day. These people, I literally am like judging my entire existence after this in a good way because it's just making me want to level up everything. This is why it's so valuable to be in a room of winners and seeing how they are and what they do. And, and listen, I'm, I'll be that girl. Like I'm going to make it my mission to learn as much as possible from all the best fricking people in the universe, the most successful people, because again, success leaves clues. And I will take the cliff notes and relay them to you right here in the membership, in our trainings, in the podcast. And I have more exciting, uh, brand new things coming up. here shortly for this entire community that you're just going to be like, ah, but that that was a really interesting thing because the girls just saw where they are now. And so a lot of them had to go into, well, what you're seeing now is kind of like a product of me showing up even when I did feel sad, even when things weren't going my way, even when I was depressed or even when, you know, Um, I had a personal issue come up, but being able to still have that faith in myself. A lot of them talked about faith and I talked about this on my IG stories today too, but a lot of them talked about faith in themselves, faith in God, faith in their family and the faith that their family had in them. So I feel like the two big factors, like the two big lessons from the day were mainly like facing your fears. And having faith and it's just like that cycle that they went through again. This is my takeaway. This is from my notes. No one said, you know, specifically it's faith and fear. It's, it's the commonalities that I saw in each and every story was. Pushing through the fear, having faith. Then you get to another level, then you push through the fear and have faith. Push through the fear and have faith. Every day, I want us to operate like that as trendsetters. Because we're going first. That's what trendsetters do. We're not the followers, we're the leaders, we're the ones making it happen, we're the ones that are, you know, standing out and putting ourselves out there and doing something incredible and starting something from scratch and building a million dollar company. Hello. So every day, the one lesson that I'd love for you to take away from this or even just, you know, I have, I have more notes, but I feel like this is really the key here is every day showing up. And knowing that you may tackle some fear, but you have faith. And if you can do that every day in your business, you will not even recognize yourself six months from now. I, I fricking, I'm telling you right now, if you can have those two things somewhere in your mind, maybe write it on like a little post it, put it in your mirror. So after you're brushing your teeth, you take a look at it and you're like, Oh yeah, okay, I'm going to face some fears today, but I'm going to have faith. That I can do it. Remember, your biggest rewards are always on the other side of that fear. And I'm not talking about every day you have to face like a venomous cobra, right? The fear may just be something small like checking your bank account to see, you know, how your sales are going and what kind of profit you've made so far. Maybe that's something that scares you a little bit. Okay, you know what, I'm going to face that fear because I know that money management is part of this. So I need to see where my money is, where it's coming and where it's going. Maybe the fear is you getting on camera and actually speaking to the camera. Maybe you've just been doing reels where you're not speaking. Maybe that's your fear. you know what? I'm going to face my fear today and I'm going to make one reel where I'm actually talking on camera. Or maybe I'm just going to make an Instagram story where I'm speaking. Maybe I'm going to go live. Or maybe I'm going to tackle the mountain of inventory that I have, you know, in my spare room or in my office or whatever the case may be. And I'm going to figure out You know, what do I, what kind of collections I can make from this? I want to move inventory. That inventory has been there, I have a fear of it because for me, it represents some kind of failure that I've applied to my, myself, even though it's not really a failure, it's just what we're telling ourselves, okay? Whatever your fear is, it doesn't have to be like this big extravagant fear. It can be really small, really tiny fears. That in tiny by the by but what I mean by that is it's not like you're facing a Snake, okay, it's gonna bite your head off. It could be something that's really scary to us But not necessarily like super dangerous, right? So think about that think about what are the different fears? That you have been hanging on to with the death grip because you're scared to face them and they're there every day We know this they're they're not going away. They don't go away until you walk through it and face it and go Okay, you know what today's the day I start dot dot dot today's the day I start showing up for my business every day Today's the day I start I stop feeling like I don't deserve this or I'm not good enough for this Today's the day I stop judging my personality and think that I'm too I don't know how going or too shy or too whatever to make this happen. Today's the day that I face the fear of me not having, you know, the quote unquote perfect background to build a million dollar company. Like if there's anybody. That should not have been able to build a million dollar company. It's me. I literally never took a business class I didn't know anything about running a company. I Was the worst employee ever when I tried it for I don't know a few months So these fears are just things that we need to work through and get past Fear and faith in yourself. Maybe it's in God and a higher power Maybe it's in your family showing up for you. Whatever the case may be. I'd love for you to focus on these two things You guys, oh my gosh, it was just the coolest, coolest, coolest 24 hours ever. I, I'm making this podcast also to just lock in the memories that I have today because again, like I said, I literally feel like a different person. And I know that, you know, I don't want to say that this podcast is going to be like life changing for you, but it really can be. Like that's the crazy thing, is that me showing up here and giving you this information could quite literally change your freaking life. So a lot of us don't get this education. I know I freaking didn't. No one talked to me about this when it came to business. No one talked to me about how scary it would be or how, you know, how much I would have to learn or how I didn't, you know. A lot of us In this business, we jump in wholeheartedly, best intentions with very little strategy and very little plan. Is that you out there? Raise your hand if you're like, yep, I jumped into this. I really didn't have much of a plan. I don't really freaking know what I'm doing. Things are going pretty well considering. I know I'm an, uh, the bomb person. I'm going to figure it out and that's why I'm here listening to these podcasts, jumping in the trendsetter community. Cause you get that you can do this, but you might've jumped in without much experience or much path to success. That's what this is all about here. So I always say what I feel called to do now, like this is literally my life's work is becoming so clear with all of the lessons that I've learned throughout the years and continue to learn. Like, literally I evolved into a new person today from these, the past 24 hours, watching and learning and studying, taking the notes, passing it on to you, and I will continue to do this. My whole, like, drive is to just pass this information and education on to you. So, I love you. I hope you liked this episode. Um, shoot me a DM, let me know if you did. If you have a chance, drop in and give me a 5 star review. You know, like the podcast, share it, whatever the case may be. This is a fan favorite. Y'all love this podcast and I'm so happy you do because I love it as well. So I'm going to continue to show up here. I do feel like, and if I can just be honest with you for a second, I do feel like I love my daily podcasts, but I do feel like I get to feel a little bit more in depth. Like I get to go deeper when I'm not going every day. So I don't know, I'm still playing around with what feels best for me. I was like, I'm going to go every day. I love it. I want to show up and I do love it, but I also feel like It, it, I like, almost like creating longer, but a little bit less episodes too. Again, I don't know. It's, it's my business. There's no rules. We can do what we want here. I'd love to hear from you guys as well though. I love doing the little 10 minute podcast, but I also love doing a good 30 minute where I can really just Just chill and, um, talk to y'all. So, anywho, we're still trying to figure out what's the best thing here. And that's okay. It's part of the process, right? Nothing has to be perfect. But, you know what I am doing? I'm still showing up. I'm still working to make it the best it can be. I'm not worried that you guys are gonna judge me or be like, uh, Eileen. I know that, like, we're in this together. And so, I'm gonna continue to show up and do my best. And that's all you can do as well. Okay. I love you. Talk to you soon.
