Hello and welcome back to a another week I have a another beautiful guest in the studio today. Would you like to introduce Hi honey, I'm Nova never hold on. I'm so happy to be here. Thank you for inviting me. I'm so excited to have you here. I am just in awe of you all over social media, doing anything. Being yourself like you're literally the epitome of just turning up as your natural self being you and not giving a total fuck and I vibe it. I mean, people don't see my bad days which are rare, but you do have the only human Yeah, but yeah, I definitely like to put across the best version of myself. Yeah, we all love that. We love seeing that version on your socials. So for the listeners that don't know about Nova, explain to us like Who were you and how did you get here is really interesting story because it's kind of like I fell into the adult industry accidentally tripped and fell. There's a few steps in between. But it was really a journey of like something I really was excited by. Didn't really I think when I was young, young, like I saw a billboard and it's like tabletop dancing. And I was just driving past in my car. I was like, Mom, I want to be a tabletop dancer. That sounds so fun. Who doesn't want to stand on tables and dance sounds like the best time and she didn't say anything. But anyway, I started by posting on Reddit raw. Wild I had the best time I noticed a few people like a DD Waldo she started by posting on Reddit and then blew up from there. But for me, it was like fun because people would comment be like, Oh, you're so cute. I was like, oh, like people liked what I post Cool. I'll keep doing it. And then from then someone says like How much for a video call. I was like, Wait, we're doing it for free. And you're offering to pay me like that's so cool. Yeah, so I did it for a $50 amazon gift card. I remember I bought a facemask some Calvin Klein's and a glass sex toy. Wow. Good fun. I know. I remember my first process of swag. Yeah. Bolo. How long ago was used what year was, this was like 2015 2016. And I was a teenager. And I was like, Yeah, let's do it. I was in like a long term relationship. Yeah, just wanted a little spicy. Yeah. And then from then I was like, Okay, let's, let's try stripping. Why not? And then I went even further afield. I was like, let's try it in person work. Let's try working a Broto. So I haven't really talked about that much anymore. But um, that was kind of like a really exciting time of my life. And then I stripped my way through uni. And then while I was tripping, I was like, Oh, onlyfans Let's, let's give that a go. And this was like, 2019, you know, 2018 2019 that like, new new year? It was before? Before? COVID? Yeah. So when I was like doing a little bit of camming, because I, I found it fun. And I I'd already made the decision to really push myself in the online world once I was like, one year, let's do stripping. Let's do online. Let's have a gap year before I go into my professional career as a social worker with my master's degree in social work. And well, COVID. And I said, Well, I'm I guess I'm forced to go fully online. No, no stripping now. And it was, it was the best. I mean, I already had all the infrastructure set up. So I wasn't, I was kind of ahead of the curve for a lot of people that were pushed online because of COVID. Ryan was already doing it. So I just had to ramp it up. Okay, so So when when you went into that was it the camming and the only fans are really ramped up. And the gaming, I guess I had more time to spend on it. And I was on science, and they weren't really working out. I wasn't sure if it was for me yet, because I wasn't seeing the payoff. But then I found I went back to trusty Reddit, and found some forums of people talking about what science and I just thought I'd try a few and see what worked. And the next site. I tried clicked for me. And all of a sudden, I was like, hey, if I actually put in the hours I can, I can get there. And it just it just ramped up from there. It just built up and up to where I am now. So you're still using that same API. And now I'm the top of the on there. There wasn't many Australians when I joined. I love science, because now I'm like in the contests. I came second on the entire website, second highest tide site like 1000s of these beautiful women. Porn Stars. Nina Holly is on is on the west side. I'm on and I was like, Oh, what an honour to be on there. So very excited. Thank you. I really love that because I remember when I first met you and your speaking man was kind of like wow, this is such a new world to me. And it's so funny because I actually get a lot of my subscribers come up and be like you should can. I do a lot of live shows on only fans. And I'm like, it's just where do we start? No, but like we're like worrying or Yeah, I didn't mention you got to find the right platform for you, which is really interesting because when you start earning And it's only fair, it's just, yeah, that's really interesting that there's so many different platforms that you can choose. And not all of them are going to work for you is really depending on your style as well. Are you someone who wants to entertain a roomful of people and put on like a long show with multiple little goals to get you to an a bigger goal, or you someone who wants to go into a private session one on one, like a FaceTime call with someone, and have that kind of one on one intimate experience? And then see them again and again, you know, each week they come back and you see them? What do you want? Do you want a crowd? Like, do you want to perform on a stage so to speak, the side I'm on now I get to enjoy both sides of that, which is what I loved about stripping. So for me, the campsite I'm on is really like the strip club, that I can entertain a group of people, but also take them one on one personal time. So it's like, do you kind of upsell it from there, or remove them from that? environment? So I'm gonna be doing like a free, Joe, we're chatting, we're talking. And then someone say, hey, I want to, I want to get you one on one. Let's do a show together. And then we initiate that, and then they can put a camera on. We're talking to each other and have some fun. And then we go back in the room, and maybe I do a group show with like, 20 people or 40 people. Yeah, but then after that, I'll do another one on one. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. For me, that's really good vibe, because I like to connect with people. Okay, individually. Yeah. So what would you say would be the main difference from like, your only fan one on one. So your only fan live shows to a site like what you're using? Yeah. So only fans, the people that are already there to see you. Like they've already joined you? Right? So if someone's on your other fans, you're doing a live, they're already fans. When I'm on my campsite, I have a bunch of people that have no idea who I am. They've never seen me before. They couldn't tell me from a bar soap. So why why should they join my show? Why should they be spending? You know, $16 a minute to have a little bit of fun with me. So that's, that's where I'm trying to convince them. So I guess I have to win them over first, right? So so when you go live on this on your camping site, does it get pushed out to like a for you feed? Is this how that like that they're kind of finding your homepage, squares and squares and squares of girls. You know, just like a little picture. So your your one picture has to be exciting enough for someone to hover their mouse over and see the live preview, and then decide, Yep, I'll enter her room and go hang out. Because I'm able just next, next next, because there's hundreds of games to choose from. What's going to make you the one right. So that's what I like to carry over into my only fans lives. Because then it's super exciting. Like, you're gonna resell. Because I'm doing something new, something exciting. You know, I'm putting on a show. I'm entertaining. Yeah, fun. Yeah, that's right. Oh, I love that. That's really interesting to know. And I know you also because there are a few beautiful creators that I know that work with you with Kami. And you kind of take them in under your under your wing and, and introduce them into the camming. Well, so share a little bit more about that. Yeah, so it was really interesting. Over COVID, there was a lot of dancers out of work. And they were wanting to break into the online world. So I opened up a CamStudio camp studios are a little crazy, we don't really have a lot of them in Australia, they're big in other countries, and they can be predatory. A lot of them but not the right way I could feel so I want it to be really careful with how I was setting something up. But I wanted it to be a co working space, I just wanted to cover the costs of running the place. So people come in, I teach them everything how to get started, help them out, set them up, and give them all the tech they needed to stream from my place or from home, whatever was comfortable for them without the investment because the equipment can be so expensive. So and so I invested in that. They came to stream and stream stream from a studio. So now they can hire the space and income stream. Yeah, so getting people set up and getting started to run their own business was important to me, and making sure they're in control of their own direction with with how they're going. Oh, yeah, it's really, it's really cool that you've provided a space for women to not only feel safe, but they can get education there. They don't have to go and spend all this money because the thing is with with any type of of like whatever avenue you're taking in the industry, and you're trying it, you don't know if it's going to be for you. So if you go and invest that money for I'm assuming, you know, it's light, it's microphones, it's the cameras are expensive, like all of it so expensive. If you go out and invest all of that, and then a few weeks later, like it's not for me. Yeah, that's a big pinch. So I love that you're providing a safe space for women to come to and use the equipment and a small cost that they can just turn up, be them and go and also have the help from you. Like that's epic. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. I want people to be in control of that experience, you know, not have to sign over all their rights to someone else that they still owe. own what they do? Yeah. And they can take it with them. When they leave, you can build your business. And then you take it with you. That's when they decide. Yeah, I love caring. I'd love to. I think I can do it at home now or, yeah, I've got a space. I've got the money now to buy a camera that it's yours now and take your business. Yeah, amazing. And that's in Melbourne, Victoria. Yeah, that's, that's my place. It's not in my house. But it's my studio that that I run. And it's fantastic. It's nice to have a place outside of home to work as well. Even with content, like if you are filming in your bedroom, it's really hard. I used to stream in my bedroom, and I'd be sleeping with my lights set up. I'd have like a spin the wheel set up a camera facing my bed. And I felt like I was sleeping on the set of wheel of fortune. So I'd wake up and I'd be anxious because it's like, oh, I mean, I mean, like camera mode already. Yeah, like there's no separation. Yeah. So it's really nice to put everything in another place. Like if you have another room or, and I feel like you're super productive as well. Like, I know, for me, when I'm doing podcast recordings, if I'm doing at home, same thing. I'm like, it's in my face. And I'm kind of stuffing around. But when I come to the studio, I'm like Ryan done this much. For you, you feel productive. You feel like mentally, like you've left work there. And now you can go on and do other switching off. For me. It's hard. I think when you're a personality when you do on the fence when you do streaming, you are chronically online. You're attached to your phone, you're attached to your computer and there's no there's no no stopping you. I'm Nova all the time. It is me like it is me. But it's nice to not be on my phone. My camera. Yeah, so having this separation was important. So having a physical space was probably the biggest thing. I am still always on my phone. Yeah. I know. We like to say we're not. We definitely yeah, thinks up on us, doesn't it? So it's like you've hit all areas, which is really cool. Because I didn't actually know this about you. It's like you've hit all areas of the industry. Like you've you've Yeah, you've dabbled in everything, which is really, really cool. So what was maybe your most favourite area? Or what do you love about each of them? And why are they all they all have their things and they all look upon them all fondling? Like if I was stuck in one of them, I would I would still be happy. So I think brothel work was really fun. I think it was really interesting. Meeting people and just kind of haven't kept finding somebody to connect with connect with a stranger that you've just met. Whether it's a touch or they smell really good or you know, their their hands are soft. So that was lovely. Stripping I love performing it's so good. I think someone told me Oh, you're such a theatre kid. Like yeah, okay, I did drama at school did this go fly? You know, I was really into that was I've always been Dance Dance has been something that's really been constant through my life. So I used to think I'm not I'm not a very creative person, you know? But dance is my movement. You know, I get so happy when I'm on stage performing. I could you could put me back in the strip club and put me on stages show that I'm so happy. I love to add in any opportunity. I'll do it. Yeah, we'll have to get you at six where tonight on this table my dream so good. And you also have done some sugar daddy work for you. Why has Nova not done I feel like you're just so like full of knowledge in the industry and you're really across like a mother hen. They call me Mama Nova. When the new dances with started, show them around. Having done so many things. I've dabbled in a lot of things. So I can't say I've done because I've done things all at once across each time. So you've got to juggle and you've got to learn quickly. You've got to do research, but also doing all that you make a lot of mistakes. I when I started, I didn't have anyone to help me. To guide myself, I felt like I was entering this new world on my own. I didn't know that it was communities of people that were willing to support and give guidance and mentorship. So working that out on my own. I definitely found myself in challenging unsafe situations where I really didn't value myself or value my safety enough. And looking back on that, like sometimes you just have to make some dumb choices to bring you to where you are now. I mean, that's how you learn isn't a you know, people can tell you it's like it's like children, you can tell them over and over and over again. But until they do it themselves thinks of themselves. It's something that they learned from starting like your your podcast, this is why it's here that people to listen to and to learn if someone asked me a question like well, actually, this is really good podcast. You can listen to that as your starting point. Yeah, and that's another reason why you know this all began because I was exactly the same as you came into the industry. And I was like like that there are other girls that exist in Australia that are doing really fine. And I couldn't find any tools or resources out there that would help navigate like through and and it's hard because you can come in and and put yourself potentially in an unsafe position or even online, do things that you wouldn't normally do because you're warped by money and, and your boundaries, you know, move. So it is nice that now we do have more tools and resources out there that people can tap into. So I love it. And I love seeing the community and the girls out there that just rally around each other and really want to protect everyone and make sure that everyone's like, it's really, it's not competition. It's not competition, we were talking about this the other day, how everyone is so unique and so diverse. And even if you look exactly the same, you still have a different audience, because it's the connection to who you are and your personality, the people who are joining their lives, or the camming, or your only fans page, know us so well. So it's so like, the external part really has such little to do with us. And there's absolutely no competition. There's like, what you know, the people that love you are so different to the people that I've got in my pool, that we can all rally around each other and support each other. I love that we all have different specialty areas as well, that we can share with each other. Yeah, that's right. We all come from different backgrounds in different places. Yeah, so I've been looking more in how to get passive income. And for me, that means with me coming as white labels. So I have been setting up a referral system where people join my, my campsite, and I get a referral of their earnings. So it's been like this nice little weekly paycheck that okay, and I'm when I'm offline, I'm still getting paid through my campsite, which is lovely Nova cam dotnet. If you need a little plug, the one to join. Yeah, that's basically a copy of another website. That is just I get a sign up bonus for that doesn't take away from the member joining. Of course, it's just paid to me from the website for advertising them. Yeah, exactly. And that's a nice way that people can get involved. And I think that's happening now with only fans. And with other streaming sites where you can set up like commissions for joins that you can, you're gonna have I think fans revenue is one of them. Yeah, where you can advertise certain creators, you can advertise yourself and you can get an additional commission. So look up referral systems look up white labels turned up to everything you can, if you've got a friend that's thinking about joining, get them to use your link. And then it's like your interest for you both to succeed because you're helping each other. Yeah, absolutely. And and it does, it kind of feels that you got that big sister vibe straightaway. Yeah. You know, like, I'm not too sure. Or should I be doing this isn't someone that can help, you know, point you in the right direction, which, which is really, really nice. And we do get asked a lot for free advice. And that's one of those things is quite mixed. Because our time and our intellectual property is so valuable with any business with any industry, what you know, is worth something. So why would you give away all your industry knowledge that's made you so successful? Like we share things all the time, we do knowledge trades, but you need to have some knowledge to trade? Exactly. Yeah, that's right. And, like, in all honesty, as well, time is money like we're doing like, for me, when building my business. If I'm taking an hour out of my day to build my business, that's a lot of money for me like, I am not going back into my business. So time is money. We are like talking about time we are pushing to the brand. We're always doing the thing while we're doing the stuff so I'm just love hearing about your your campaign, because we haven't had anyone on the podcast really like that is so knowledgeable and as big as you on camming. So what's some advice that you could give to someone who is maybe thinking about joining or is just joined and like, like now what Reddit is my resource of Reddit has a beautiful collective of cam girls, it's called cam girl problems. They have a discord you can get on and join the conversation too. They have, I'm not even sponsored. I just really liked them because I believe in it. That's where you better have hearing it from someone, rather than reading it from a book or website and talk to people that are on that website. So do your research, but also just get on there. Yeah, get on there and talk to people know what your boundaries are before you jump on. Like I've done things that I go up. There it is. I didn't know I didn't want to do that. But now I know. And sometimes you do just have to learn it that way. You don't need a lot to start, you can start streaming with a phone. You can start streaming with your webcam and your laptop as long as you've got a good strong stable internet connection. As long as you have good audio. Good video, you can begin basically you don't need a bunch of toys, although my best half is for someone getting started to get an interactive vibrator. Okay, yeah, love it is my favourite. It's just like an app based one with the app. Yeah, there's lots of little Bluetooth ones, but the most compatible for lots of different streaming sites. Also on only fans, you can connect these toys. And then fans can also buy a toy. And they can connect it and then they vibrate against each other. So if you're using your toy, it'll make that way vibrate. So it's like you having this long distance is so exciting for me that I'm having a fantasy set across the globe, that when they use that in mind vibrates. And this is scrabble word or the viewer would absolutely like they would be going why? Yeah, that's all fine. Like we're living in the future. Oh, knowledge is so advanced now that we have Bluetooth controlled toys that connect to the internet that someone in America can use. Oh my God, when you think about it like that. Just give me an org. Oh, that's so good. Oh, that's amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your tips. We are going to jump off in a minute. But I want to know from you give us a really funny story, something that's happened that no cam is full of imagine because like when it's live, they're going back. There's no editing, there's no cutting it out. There's nothing that you can really, you know, take out. So what's been one of the funniest moments that's happened to you. Look, there's a lot cam is very interesting because people come from all walks of life with different interests, different fetishes, different fantasies. And some of them are just like, I didn't know this was a thing. And you're trying to hold it together. So I'm not getting sent me here. These are just ones that I found really interesting that I didn't know existed. So like feminization, bimbo says you that kind of thing. But there was a it was a request that I had. I was doing a jewellery show with a friend and we were just having like a great time and a guy comes in when he tells us. Here's the roleplay here's the story. He said we're at the airport. I'm your stepbrother, you guys are stepsisters, the stepmom and, and stepdad. And you're going through security and you get pulled aside. And then they tell you that you need to get into these tubes, like canisters. So we're, we're acting out, you know, you're doing this. We don't know where it's going. But I know where it's going. We're like, okay, we're just like in my living room. How do we act going through airport security, and then getting into this. And then he goes, and then the tube starts to fill with gas. And we're like, Oh, no. Gas. And he goes and the gas is smelly. Oh, what's so smelly? That's smelly gas like this. Whoo. And he goes, and it makes you girly and bimbo fires you. Oh, wow. And then. And then dad turns in stepdad turns into a woman. And you say, oh, stepdad You look so good. And it was just like, things where it's like, where's this guy? Like, he's getting often this is so interesting. Like, I had no idea. And we're trying to take this so seriously, but like trying not to crack off as we go. Especially when there's someone else there. Look at each other. But then like it just suddenly ended and he left the show. But the very next show, another person comes in and they go here's the roleplay I want you to pretend you're moving house and your furniture removalists like what is this a joke? And a little elite your sofa and it's really heavy. And we like crap. Like, oh, you can't lift it? No. And we're like, dying with dying because this is like on five minutes. We've gone from smelly gassing shoes to wherever I went lifting furniture. Like this is great. Like we're not getting our clothes off. We're not doing anything. I'm like hilarious. Like, I have so much fun on can talk about mixing up your day. There was a guy who had a fetish for being an orthodontist, right? You open your mouth Jimmy teeth Oh yes, they look great. Get a little closer. It's like this is this I found my coat like as a as a former theatre. This is my dread. This is the best I could imagine day is different. Yeah, you would have really paid that couch moving that couch out. I'm you know what? If he says I'm furniture, remove lists. I can leave that count. Yeah. But I'll do it. Oh my gosh, I love it. So, so much. Thank you so much for coming on today. Kyani. Thank you so much for having me. It's been a joy. We've had some great insight into your journey. You've given us some great tips, some funny stories. I'm just not gonna get that picture out of my mind. Being an exactly stinky Oh, I love it. so much. Thank you so, so much. Is there anything you would like to leave our listeners on with a little bit of wisdom? Any final words? Yeah, I mean, be genuine, have fun. Don't take yourself seriously. People know if you're not genuine in your approach like it's, it's obvious you know, people gonna pick up on it and go like, Oh, she's putting it on. Don't put it on. Find something that's so true to yourself that it just shines through everything else. Yeah, and you're so good at that. Like you guys go. I'll put the I'll put it in the show notes. But go follow Nova on her socials because you will just feel from this podcast all the way through to our socials. She is just so genuine. She's so authentic. And she's just a ball of fun. Thank you. Thanks, everyone for listening. Bye
