As we step into the warmth of February, filled with the echoes of a transformative January, our latest The Word Become Flash podcast episode is a heartfelt tapestry of celebration and spiritual growth. The month's closure at Cornerston  Christian Church of God marked a time of prayer and communion, crowned by an insightful conference that left many of us basking in enlightenment. Now, embracing Black History Month and the season of love, we offer solace for those who are single with Pastor Ibukun's resonant teachings and her enlightening book "Synergy". Meanwhile, my personal reflections on the book of Exodus have been a beacon of learning, mirroring Moses' journey, and I urge you to join the enthralling adventure through Scripture.

In the very fabric of our discussion lies the profound realization of God's love—a love that reaches its pinnacle in Jesus' sacrifice, a theme so beautifully captured in the Gospel of John. I take you through the blessings of walking in Jesus' footsteps, from the divine comfort in knowing that He empathizes with our human experiences to the joyous abundance of spiritual riches that flourish within us through the Holy Spirit's fruits. This episode extends an open invitation to you, dear listeners, to weave Jesus into the delicate patterns of your daily life, experiencing the boundless life He promises. Join me, Mariam, as we continue our empowering series on walking with Jesus, and let's together embrace the transformative benefits that come with every step taken in His presence.

Good morning, good morning Saints. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, hello, hello. Whatever part of the word that you're listening, whatever time that you're listening, hello. I just want to say hello, hello, welcome to the word Become Flash Podcast. I am your host. My name is Mariam. I want to welcome you guys. I mean, it's another privilege to be here again and to just really talk about the Word of God and just go deep inside with the Word of God. So I'm just so excited and super excited to be here.

Mariam Kapongo:

Bless because the month of January, oh my goodness, we have closed January. Out of the 12th month, we have closed our first month of January. January was so amazing. I don't know about you guys and where you are, but here in Canada we appreciate January. The cold was not. It was not that bad as we experienced cold before. I mean we only have like two days of, I mean three days of cold day, you know. So January has just been so blessed. We wrapped up January with 21 day of prayer and fasting at Cornerston Christian Church of God and then after that we did seven days of prayer and fasting and also the amazing thing, the amazing thing we had our first conference of the year in 2024, first conference, the Come and see Conference, the Enlightenment the Lord definitely shone some light on souls. I mean, january has been so blessed and also to the Lord has blessed me In January. He has given me an opportunity. I had a wonderful, great job interview In the month of January. It went so well. God I mean God was deep in and God was with me. So I want to just want to say thank God. I mean, january has been so far a blessed month and I hope that, and I hope that January is the same for you. It was a great month for you, it was a month of blessing and, most importantly, it was a month for you where to get a revelation, where to actually get instructions and direction where your 2024 is going. So I am so blessed and privileged that we have entered the month of February.

Mariam Kapongo:

February is a month of Black History Month. I want to say happy Black History Month. And also to February, it is a month of single. I mean not single. It's a month of Valentine, the month of love. This is where my single brothers and my single sister they kind of feel some type of rage. They're like another Valentine.

Mariam Kapongo:

Valentine day is coming. I don't have my own. It's okay, the Lord sees you. Okay, my single people out there, the Lord sees you and the Lord will surely grant your heart desire. Just know that don't rush any relationship. You know God's timing is always, always, always, always the best timing. So wait on the Lord, wait on the Lord. And also, too, if you are single, I encourage you go listen.

Mariam Kapongo:

My pastor did a message. My spiritual mommy, she did a message on single. It's called single out. That message really will bless you. It will make you appreciate your time of being single, okay, of being single. So, anyways, I'm telling my single people out there I just say relax and wait on God's best timing, you know. So this Valentine's Day, when you'll feel so lonely, I encourage you go out there and listen to a wonderful message by pastor Ibukun that it's called single out. If you go on her Instagram page at Ibukun. adewusi, you listen to her message. It's called single out. You definitely will be blessed.

Mariam Kapongo:

There were some beautiful nuggets. We got to know the language of love. You know God has the five languages of love, so she thought of us on that. It was really beautiful. And also, too, since it is the month of love, to all the love bird out there. I encourage you also purchase pastor Ibukun's book. It's called Synergy. It's everywhere that you get your book on Amazon, everywhere that you just get your book. Purchase the book Synergy. It is a wonderful, good tip. Relationship tip.

Mariam Kapongo:

Anyways, now, today I'm not here to be talking about relationship. The only relationship I'm here to be talking is a relationship of Jesus, which is actually exciting. So this January we wrapped up with the book of Genesis. For the people that are reading the Bible, the people that did join me on the Bible challenge, I said this year I'm rereading the whole Bible, from Genesis all the way to Revelation. So I'm so excited because I'm in my favorite book right now.

Mariam Kapongo:

I'm in the book of Exodus and it's Moses. I love Moses. For those who know me, for those who do not know me, but for those who know me knows how much I just love Moses, I feel like me and Moses. We are related, totally related. That we have yeah, I mean, the story of Moses is almost my story. Yeah, kind of, I'm just going to say a little bit, there is some similarity between me and Moses. I really love the story of Exodus.

Mariam Kapongo:

So I'm in a book of Exodus and, as you can tell how excited I am. I love it just waking up every morning and then just meditate on the book of Exodus and see the wonderful things that God really has done, even though, no matter how many times that the children of Israel, the religious soul, complainer, a pan-complainer, complainer, a pan-complainer. But the miracle that Jesus did, it's so amazing, it is so amazing, it's so amazing. So, anyways, I encourage you guys. The Bible, it's so exciting, it is really exciting, man, it's really exciting when you plug it into God's Word. It's so good, it's so good. So I encourage you guys to go read your Bible. Yeah, join me on the Bible reading month, as we're reading from Genesis to Revelation. So this February I'm in the book of Exodus and I am loving it, all the revelation that God is giving me and all the understanding that God is giving me. So God is so good, hallelujah, anyways. So today I am back again.

Mariam Kapongo:

Last January, episode of the last Monday of the month of January, we talk about the benefits of walking with Jesus and I loved it and I think when I was like, oh, holy Spirit, I didn't say this, I didn't say this, and you know, the Holy Spirit told me don't worry, you do a part two. So I'm back, I'm back, I'm talking about the benefits of walking with Jesus. This is going to be a part two, okay, a part two of the benefits of walking with Jesus. And then, if you, I'm just going to pick up, I'm just going to keep, I'm just going to pick up from the points that I gave on part one. So, but this is, this is part two. So if, if you're having listened to part one yet, so we can be on the same, we can be in the same boat, so I can understand what I'm saying about, please encourage you, go out there, go back and listen to the benefits of walking with Jesus, part one, and you shall be blessed, and also to its founder on YouTube. Go on YouTube, search the word become flesh podcast, and yeah, the word become flesh. And yeah, and yeah, you'll find, you'll find, you'll find it. So, anyways, let's get into the word.

Mariam Kapongo:

I am so excited. I am excited, I'm excited for this one because, as I was writing these notes, they were during my previous week, during my devotion time, either, like I was in church and God will give me one point, and like that's how, that's how I actually the message, that the message. They just come up. It's when I'm listening to my spiritual authority. You know he is out there, he's delivering the word and God is giving me a word. And then other to either I'm doing my devotion and God is just, and God is just giving me a word. So I am so. I am so hyped. I am so hyped because the benefits of walking with Jesus and all these points, that was like I was like oh, thank you, holy Spirit, thank you for loving me, thank you for loving me and trusting me to be your voice and you know, and for for you to give me the confidence out there to be confident and share. Thank you, thank you, holy Spirit. It's only God's grace.

Mariam Kapongo:

So, before we dive into the word of God, let's open up with a wonderful prayer and then we'll dive in into God's word. Amen, amen, in Jesus name, amen, father, the mighty name of Jesus, lord, we just want to come before you today, oh God. We pray my Father God, as we just talk about you. Oh God, learn about you. Speak of your word, my Father, god, lord, I pray, my Father God, that you are not in my words. I pray that you are not in my mind, I pray. I pray that you would just sanctify me. Oh Lord, my Father God, that you have your mercy on me. My Father God, lord, I pray, my Father God, that come and search me, come and search my heart. Oh God, Lord, anything that it is not from you, my Father God, remove it.

Mariam Kapongo:

In the mighty name of Jesus, oh Lord, come, holy Spirit, mighty God, come and have your way, let your will be done, my Father God, oh Lord, father, allow me to speak your truth, my Father God, not my truth, not my desires, not my mind, not my knowledge, but your truth. Oh Lord, my Father God. Oh Father, come and have your way, let your will be done. My Father God, oh Lord, father, every attack that the enemy want to have, my Father God I guess this word Lord, I fight him. In the mighty name of Jesus, I come against the devil. In the mighty name of Jesus, I come against the force of darkness. Oh God, that they will not allow this word, my Father God, to come forward. In the mighty name of Jesus, father, that I pray, my Father God, that you open up our spiritual eyes, open up our spiritual ears. My Father God, father, we invite you, my Father God, in this place, holy Spirit, come, come, burn upon this altar, come and speak to us in the mighty name of Jesus.

Mariam Kapongo:

Oh Rekeria Baravosa, reka Ta, reka Ta, reka Ta. Oh Kantabaraboshinda Baravosa. Let your work come with power, my Father God, oh Ribokosaha, let this work come with deliverance, my Father God, rindabaraboshinda Baravosa. Oh my Tigara, come and have your way, come and teach us, oh God, oh Lord Rindabarabosa, father, allow me to speak from your heart, oh God, and not from my own heart and not from my own desire, but of your own, my Father God. We love you, jesus, we thank you Jesus, all mighty God, let your work be done. In Jesus, mighty name, I have prayed amen, amen. God is good, god is good.

Mariam Kapongo:

Anyways, so I'm continuing with the topic of the benefits of walking with Jesus. This is going to be part two. Last part one. I gave five points, so I'm picking up from the five, I'm continuing from the five points, so this is number six.

Mariam Kapongo:

One of the greatest benefits of walking with Jesus is the fact that you know you are love. Look at that, it's the month of love and I want you to walk into your benefits of knowing that you are love, that Jesus really, truly does love you. Okay, evidence. It is found in my favorite verse, I think in my. This is my favorite verse. It's been my favorite verse since I was a kid and it's been my favorite verse since I was an adult, anyways. So the book of John, 3.16,. It says for God so loved the word that he gave his only begun son that whoever believed in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God so loved the word. One of the greatest benefits of walking with Jesus is the fact that you know that you are love, the fact that God said for God, so loved the word. You are the word, you are the word that he choose to sacrifice his one and only begun son. Just for you, just for me.

Mariam Kapongo:

So what is love? What is love, you know? I just there's so many good definition out there, but this is just a definition. I was like mm-hmm, mm-hmm, but there is a manga among a good definition out there. What is love? Love is is the deliberate act of valuing someone more than you value yourself. Oh Lord, when I got this I was like oh, my goodness, god, love is deliberate of act of valuing someone more than you value yourself. Understand that Jesus truly showed love by dying on the cross for you and me and took off our sins. Understand that he deliberately showed the act of valuing you. He value you, he value you. The reason that he died on the cross is because he want to show you like I value you, I value your heart, I value your soul, everything about you I value and I would just sacrifice my life just for you, just for you, so for you you can have life. That is love. It's when somebody show you, you know, show, when someone show you the value in you, the value in you. So Jesus, god, completely saw the value in humanity.

Mariam Kapongo:

I mean, if you go back to the beginning of the Bible and then if you just read Genesis, like this just, the children of Israel, man, they exaggerated, they exaggerated. They're the one that cry out to say, god, deliver us out of this wilderness. And God said, ok, I will. But when God delivered them, they're like, ah, man, only if we're in Egypt, you know we had big meat there. You know now you're bought here. And this wilderness? For us to die, man, we are complainer. But for God to see the greatest, the greatest value in us and say you know what? I want to die for these people. I just want to die for them. And it's like, but who's going to do it? Like look how many, look how many prophets, and look how many prophets, how many he calls and they could not fulfill it. But it's like, ok, jesus, my son, my only begun son, my son, my son, my son, you gotta go there so this can end right. So the fact that he gave us and the fact that he gave us Jesus by dying on the cross for you and me and took us our sins, that shows that he really truly love us all. Right?

Mariam Kapongo:

Benefit number seven God fight for your battles. God fight for your battles. I mean one of my favorite song. Every time they sing this song at church, I'm always hiding. It's by by Israel Hilton. God is fighting for us, god is on our side. Oh, every time I hear that song, you know I'm like devil, god is gonna fight, you don't play with me, jesus is on my side. And then you have, and you have, and you have a wonderful song by our sister, victoria, and then it tells you I walk with God the Father, god with God the Son, and God with the Holy Spirit. You get back, you know, you know, and then. And then you get a song like you, I am a soldier, I sold.

Mariam Kapongo:

When you are, when you are a soldier in a battlefield, you don't go alone, right, you don't go alone, you go with the whole crew, your whole crew. For us, it's God, the Father, god the Son and God, the Holy Spirit. God truly do fight for us. He does definitely fight our battles. So God fight for you.

Mariam Kapongo:

For example, the children of Israel, israel, when they cry for God to deliver them out of the land of Egypt, god show up for them. He is the God who would open the Red Sea for you and your enemy will drown upon the water. Huh, huh, huh. I love this. I really, I really love this. As I told you guys, I love, I love, I love the book of Exodus. Okay, I love it, I love it. I just love to see how caring and and how wonderful God is like to just to just fight.

Mariam Kapongo:

You know, the best part is when he deliver the, the children, the children of Israel, out of Egypt. You know, and the Egyptian, the Egyptian, they're running after them. You know, pharaoh came with his horsemen, with everybody, like he came with these all crew. You know they wanted to go after them. But guess what? When God told Moses hey, moses, please put, put the stick. The stick that Moses been walking, the stick that, yeah, god told him, put the stick and and allow the stick to devise the Red Sea. And the stick divide the Red Sea and the children, the children of Israel. They were walking under the Red Sea and then, when the enemies wanted to come, they were behind them. They want to come and attack them. Ah, god, close the Red Sea. Your enemy will drown upon that water. That's the God that we serve, that God that your enemy will drown, they will drown upon the water.

Mariam Kapongo:

And the book of deuteronomy, the deuteronomy, deter, deter, deuteronomy 21 and 4, and it's the book says, and he shall say to them here or Israel today you are on the verge of a battle with your enemy. Do not let your heart faint, do not be afraid, do not tremble or be terrified because of them, for the Lord, your God, he is who he God, he's who God, he who God. God goes with you to fight, to fight against your enemy, to save you. God, truly fight your battle. That's, that's the benefit number seven that the Lord fight our battle. In the book of Exodus 14, it says the Lord will fight for you. You need the Lord will fight for you. You need only to be still and it might seem too amazing to be true, but the God of universe want to be our champion, the warrior who will gain victory for us. Well, we know that he is mighty. We can sometimes forget to call on him in the midst of our trial. God do fights your battle, he fights our battle. Amen, I love that. I mean I love that benefits. Grab it guys. Grab it Jesus. We have so much great benefits walking with Jesus as the children of God. We are so love. We are so love. We're benefits. We have lots of benefits benefits. Number eight Jesus.

Mariam Kapongo:

He relate with you and your Jesus. He related with you and your pain and the struggle you're going through. Jesus related, literally, he related with your pain and the struggle that you are going through. In the book of Hebrew, for 15 to 16, jesus understood every witness of ours because he was tempted in every way that we are, but he did not sin. So whatever we are in in need, we should come brutally before before the throne of mercy, merciful God, there we will be, will be there, we will be treated with understanding grace and we will find help. We will find help. Jesus related, he related to our pain. He related to our pain. I really, I really, I really love that.

Mariam Kapongo:

The fact that the fact that he knows, he knows he can relate it to you, he can relate it, he can relate it to you, right, um, that's um sorry, I'm just okay that you have to, at Jesus, understand any pain that you've been through, any anything that you've been tempted. That Jesus has, he's been, he's been tempted in every, in every respect, in every area he's been tempted. The same temptation that you say, oh my goodness, this is so hard. Come on Jesus. Or Jesus, jesus, jesus too, he is relating with us as human. So he net, but at the end of the day, that he never seen. Just knowing that Jesus understands, make it, should make you and I feel closer to him. It's helped me, it's it's help, it's helped me believe, it's hope, it's helped me and you to be vulnerable and to trust in him. It's and to trust in him and help us to feel connected rather than feel lonely, rather than feel lonely that Jesus, Jesus is related to your pain. He's, he's, he related. Anything that you think that you're going through that. You know I like man, jesus definitely understand. Give it to Jesus and allow Jesus to take it from you and man.

Mariam Kapongo:

Now, our benefits number nine is the fact you are able to hear God's voice. You are able to hear God's voice when he's talking to you. In the book of John, 10, 27, 28, it says my sheep listen to my voice. I know them and they follow me. I give them internal life and they shall never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hands. The sheep recognize the voice of the shepherd, the one who feed them, guide them and protect them. The sheep have learned to trust the shepherd as the shepherd ensure the safety of his sheep, of his sheep, jesus shield his people from everlasting damage. So my sheep hear my voice. You are able to hear God's way. When you hear God's voice, understand, oh, my goodness, I am his sheep and he is my shepherd. I am a sheep and he is my shepherd. Be sensitive to his voice as one of the benefits of God's children. You hear God's voice, you hear God's voice, you hear him, you hear.

Mariam Kapongo:

Benefits number 10 you will enjoy God's spiritual prosperity that come from the fruit of the holy spirits. Okay, the last benefit number 10 is you will enjoy God, god's spiritual, spiritual prosperity that come from the fruit of the holy spirit. Now, when you're walking with Jesus, there's, as I say, there's, a lot of benefits like these. These are just like loaded that Jesus was giving me, but there's so much, there's so much in Christ, there's so much in Jesus. You'll receive his love, you receive his joy, you receive his peace and you receive his kindness, his goodness, his faithfulness, his gentleness, his self-control. All of this, all of this, they come to you benefits package and all of that is found in Galatians 5, 22, 23. So I really encourage you. I did a series on the fruit of the holy spirit, so I encourage you, go back on season one and then just listen to those series on the fruit of the holy spirit that I did.

Mariam Kapongo:

So in conclusion, as we're wrapping off with with the benefits, in conclusion, the biggest benefits of walking with God is life. Jesus came and said that he is the way and the truth and the life. He said that he can. He said that. He said that he can, that we may have life and have it more abundantly. God's original plan and desire was for us to live forever with him, and that's what, what? What's the enemy's self to steal and kill and destroy. Okay, so the biggest benefits, the biggest benefits, if you need, if anything, that you did not understand this, some series of benefits. You did not understand the part one and part two. But the biggest benefits I want you to understand is the fact that that Jesus has come so you can have abundant life, so you can have internal life, all right, so you can have abundant life and you can have internal life.

Mariam Kapongo:

Now I, before we go and before we close, I just want to, I just want to invite. You're out there, you might listening to me, and then you're like, oh, my goodness, I, I don't know. I don't know if I have these benefits, I don't know if I, if I, if I'm a part of this benefit, or I don't know who is this Jesus? This is a great opportunity to you know, to come and to actually invite Christ into your life and actually allow Jesus to be part, part of your daily life, you know. And also to come join me at the Father's table.

Mariam Kapongo:

You know, there's a song. There's a song when I was a kid. It's called, it was, it was called the big house. It's my father's house. There's a big, big house with lots and lots of room. So, jesus, have room for you and me. It's a big table, like. You can't doubt it's be like okay, jesus doesn't need me, you know he already have that, you already have enough. Jesus cares so much for your soul, he cares so much for you, he loves you, as I emphasize in John 3, 16. God loves you. So, so, so, so much.

Mariam Kapongo:

So I want to encourage you this year of 2024, if you have not makeup, you have not have made your mind, you have not made up your mind, to just leave the world behind, leave the word behind, leave the things of the world behind, and say Jesus, I want to follow you, jesus, I want to know you, jesus, I want, I want to be part of the package of the benefits. Okay, I want to be part of package of the benefits. So this year, this 2024, if you have not make that call yet, I want you to come and make the call with me. Come and make the call with me, come, come and walk with the king of King, come and walk with the Lord of Lord, come, come, come, come, come, come, come. So I want to encourage you, please, please, come and say this prayer with me, right? I want to give you an opportunity for you to to say this prayer with me, by you and, vitally, jesus into your life.

Mariam Kapongo:

It's a very simple, simple prayer, alright. So the prayer? This is this is how the prayer goes. Please say the prayer with me if you, if you want to give your life to Christ. Okay, lord, lord, jesus, lord, jesus, lord, jesus, lord, jesus Christ, I believe you are the Son of God and I believe you die for me on the cross of the cavalry. I know I am a sinner and today I come to you to forgive me all of my sin and to make me a brand new creation. I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you, lord, for forgiving me and make me a brand, a born again. In Jesus mighty name, I pray amen, amen, amen. Now, if you have seen that prayer, congratulations, congratulations, welcome to the kingdom, congratulations, the angels are rejoicing. I'm here rejoicing for you. The angels are rejoicing.

Mariam Kapongo:

But just saying that simple prayer, saying the simple prayer, does she's just give me the permission like, okay, I really give my life to Christ. You know, I'm just gonna sit here until I hear the trumpet sound. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Now you gotta take step forward. Okay, you gotta take step, step forward and step forward and come and be part of a church.

Mariam Kapongo:

If you don't have a church, okay, if you don't have a church, I encourage you, be part of a church community. Don't walk alone. Don't don't walk alone in this walk with God. We need a community. Okay, we don't walk, we don't walk alone, or we don't walk alone. We walk with God, the Father, god of God, the Father, god, the Son and God, the Holy Spirit, and our whole new community and our spiritual authorities that they're over over it and covering, and our church family, our church leaders. You know that every day they're interceding for us. So you don't walk alone.

Mariam Kapongo:

So I encourage you, please, please, please, don't just set a prayer and then you sit in your room and then you sit in your bedroom and you're like, yeah, yeah, I gave my life to Christ. They're like yesterday I have to listen to that girl was talking about the benefit of walking with Jesus. Now, yeah, you know, no, no, no, no, no, no. Now I want to encourage you to go out there and find yourself a home church and be part of a community. Okay, be part of a community. And if you're in Edmonton Edmonton I want to encourage, I want to invite you.

Mariam Kapongo:

If you don't have a home church and you're in Edmonton, you don't have a home church I want to invite you to my home church. I want you to be part of my community. I want you yeah, as you're already a part of my already you're already part of the community of the word become flesh podcast. Now I extend you to come even join me to be part of my community of Cornerstone Christian Church of God on 9249 and 50th Street here in Edmonton. But if you're out there in the world and you cannot find a home church, don't worry, honey, you can also join us too on YouTube, online. Mariam Kapongo:

So, but if also you have a home church, I encourage please go to your home church and also to, as you go to your home church, be engaged in your home church. Don't just be, don't just be a Sunday person. You go there high and by engaging in your community, engaging your church, serving your church. You know, serve in your church. One of the greatest ways that you know you can give to God is it's by serving him, it's by serving him right. So I encourage you, yeah, I encourage you, to join our church, join our community. Don't be, don't be, a stay home Christian. Don't be a stay home Christian. Now, happy, happy February. God bless you guys. We're gonna come back here again last Monday of the month of February 26th for a brand new word, for a brand new word. So, god bless you. Have a wonderful day, continue being the light of God in this year and until then, we'll see you again. Have a wonderful day, god bless you.
