Mariam Kapongo

Emerging from life's unexpected pauses with renewed vigor, I can't help but share my adventures of starting a new job and relocating - but more importantly, the exuberance of Resurrection Monday. My spirits soar even higher with the presence of Leya Mozaly, a dazzling beacon of faith, whose story of music and ministry resonates with anyone who's ever felt the call to intertwine their talents with their spirituality. Together, we celebrate her path from childhood choirs to ordained ministry and beyond, diving into her album "Cheza" which beckons us all to dance and find joy in life's rhythm.

Our conversation soon transcends the everyday as we tap into the resurrection power of Jesus, a force that's palpably alive in our day-to-day struggles. A testament to this power comes through a heart-wrenching narrative from December 2023, a time stamped by prayer and an unwavering belief in the midst of a friend's grave illness. Leya and I explore the deep spiritual transformation that can occur when we embrace the stories God writes for us, promising victory over the most daunting of adversities.

The episode culminates with a gripping tale of divine intervention following a near-death experience that left me teetering on the brink, only to be pulled back by a miraculous healing. This pivotal moment not only reinforced my family's faith but also spurred the creation of the "Word Become Flesh" podcast, mirroring the biblical resurrection of Lazarus. We close on a note of hope and resilience, reminding you that through the upheavals of life, our connection to the divine is our strongest anchor. So no matter what turmoil we face, remember, we are still in the midst of a story of triumph—with joy and restoration awaiting us on the horizon.

First of all, I just want to apologize that the month, the month of March, we did not, we did not release anything. I'm so sorry, guys. March was a it was a super busy month for me. It was a month of transition. Like it was a month of transition. The Lord bless your girl with a new job. You know, I'm in a new place, I'm in a new position. The Lord is just taking me from glory to glory. So I'm just so excited that we are back and we're in April, so happy, first Monday of the month of April, and it is our Monday that the Lord, his reason, he is reason. Jesus is alive. The tomb is empty.

Mariam Kapongo:

Hey guys, today it is a special day because I'm so excited. I'm not just sitting here alone on this couch, I am sitting with three people, I'm sitting with the Holy Spirit here, and then I have a special guest with me right now. So, anyways, let's get to the special guest. I'm just gonna, I'm just gonna read a little bio about my special guest and then I'll let her jump in and and then we'll take it from there. Amen, I meant. Anyways, today I have a special guest sitting with me here. Her name is Leya Mozaly aka Kings daughter. Yeah, she's sitting right here beside me. Leya Mozaly, welcome to the Word Became Flash. Thank you so much. I'm so excited. I'm so excited, y'all, because what we have for you guys, it is amazing. So I'm gonna continue read Leya's on biography.

Mariam Kapongo:

So, leya, she is born in a Christian family, all right, her parents are both pastor. Her grandparents there were pastor too. I meant she's the second last among seven children she has. Oh, she's the okay she have. She's the family's big. She starts singing in the children choir when she was six years old. Okay, six years old. She start walking in her purpose already. Come on, come on, somebody. Okay, she. I've always loved singing since she was young. At the age of 13, leya joined the elder choir where, where, since then, she loves music. Guys, she is amazing worship leader. Okay, plus, leya have an album right now that is available on all platform that you listen to your music. So I encourage you guys, go out there, search for Leya Mozaly, okay, on.

Mariam Kapongo:

I-Tune on Spotify, right on I-Tune on Spotify, I'm the singer right now that is available. It's called Cheza, which means dance. Well, that album you're gonna get. It's amazing. You definitely get moving like it's my, it's my favorite song. It's my favorite song anyways, let's continue. So, leya, leya, served God, as she'll always have a passion serving God. Okay, particularly, she works with young people, with young. With young people, I mean with youth adults. I mean she's in the choir, she's a minister and I mean anyway.

Mariam Kapongo:

Then you just think of ministry, think of Leya. She's there, she's there. That's her passion, the passion that she have for God. It's amazing in September 2020, by the grace of God, she was. She was ordained in Winnipeg as the youth pastor guys. I remember when I saw the video of her being ordained, I was screaming in my room. I said God, jesus, I was so excited, I was so excited.

Leya Mozaly:

I remember that day I was in my room this was like during COVID yeah, yeah, it was, during COVID it was. Yeah, 2020 it was during COVID.

Mariam Kapongo:

That's when, that's when I went through depression and I didn't want anything to do with God. But then when I saw you how you were continuing and I was like now, mariam, you gotta do better, yeah. So yeah, I was. But and during my section of depression, I was still. I was still excited what God is doing in her life. I was so typing into the annoying thing. I was so joyful. I was like oh my goodness, my girl, she's being ordained.

Mariam Kapongo:

It was a great time, it was good, it was really good okay so, as she was ordained as a minister, she was coordinating youth events, activity for the young people, mentoring them in the leadership in Christ. I mean she's. She's a multiple talent, okay, so in 2021 I already talked about her album. 2021, that's when she released her album, that's when her album went, when, when went, when, went live and and also to the album, literally when people were doing dance challenge yeah, yeah, I my family and I did the challenge during Mother's Day and 2021 was a good year and yeah, and there's several other songs and right now I believe she's working on an

Leya Mozaly:

album a lot new music.

Mariam Kapongo:

I love it. New music, a common soon man works up, so we're looking forward for that. And also, she's the daughter of the most high God. As we already said, it's King's daughter. She's a hair stylist. Okay, guys, she does it all. I mean this hair here, it's by her. By the way, okay, she's a hair stylist. I mean, yeah, I know she's always book and busy. I mean my hair needs to be.

Mariam Kapongo:

She's always book and busy, but then, yeah, she's a hair stylist. So for the ladies out there, if she doesn't, she does. She does hair for men too you can do yeah, yeah, yeah so man, ladies reach out. Reach out to her on Instagram yeah, and Facebook, okay, oh, my goodness, okay, I mean, that was a long intro, that was a long intro. Look at that, look at that. Anyways, anyways, saint let us welcome Leya Mozaly on the word become flesh podcast . Lele, I'm talking to myself. King's daughter, king's daughter.

Leya Mozaly:

Oh man, thank you so much. Wow, what an intro. Thank you so much for that beautiful introduction. Yes, wow, it's like you were just living my whole life there.

Mariam Kapongo:

I think that was just half of the life. Yeah, that's definitely how we actually did not put everything there, yeah. Thank you, thank you for that Most important guys. She's one of my closest friend. Okay, she's a friend that I know. If I call Lea, it's about to go down, it's about, it's about to go deep, she will check you out. She will literally check him. Like, you want advice, motherly advice? Yeah, so, yeah, so yeah, welcome there, thank you so much.

Leya Mozaly:

Wow, I like I thank God really for being here. Yeah, like I don't know this. This seems like unreal to me. It seems like, oh my god, am I dreaming or something you know, because just like few months ago last year, we're talking about this, as you know, as as a dream or as a project, or now it's like here and. Thank God for that. Really, I'm happy to be here, I'm happy to be one of your guests and yeah, I'm really excited to see what God has in store for us today.

Mariam Kapongo:

Amen, amen. Okay, guys. So today is resurrection Monday. Our king is risen, jesus is alive. The tomb is empty. Yeah, that could not hold him down, so before we go deep. This is the word.

Mariam Kapongo:

This is the word become flash where we go inside the word so, before we go in Deep with Leia's testimony and why she is here on this couch, I just want to open us with the word of God, and then we would definitely go deep Um with Leia's testimony, because her testimony is relating to resurrection. So that's why I thought that, oh my goodness, that this is, this is, this was the perfect time to just have her here on resurrection week, on the day that we're reflecting on resurrection and then the day that we're reflecting on Christ. So, of course, here in the world become flash podcast. Before we start, we open up with a word of prayer and we jump into the world. Okay, I might let us pray.

Mariam Kapongo:

Father, the mighty name of Jesus, lord, we want to thank you, my father God, for for another day. My father God, for another beautiful, beautiful Monday, father, a Monday where you were resurrected of God. The tomb was empty. Jesus, thank you, lord. We thank you for your resurrection power. Father, we invite your presence that will come in this place. So, lord, my father God, whatever that everybody is listening from my father God, oh Lord, my father God, may you resurrected their hearts. My father God, is there anything dying to their life? My father God, may you arise them. My father, god, lord, my father, god, like you, arise your son Lazarus. You say, lazarus, arise, come out of that tomb. Oh God, I speak upon every saint right now. Jesus, whatever try your tribulation, god, that they are going through my ticata, father, they said that there is no way. Today, my father God, that you are sure that there is a way. There is a way that you are the truth and you are the life for God. So we invite your presence in this place. Come, holy Spirit, have your way and you will be done in Jesus, mighty name. I prayed amen. Okay, guys, so the word that I want to show today it is Matthew 28. Matthew 28 from verse 1 to 7, and I will read Okay, after the Sabbath down on the first day of the week, mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look to the tomb and there was a violent aircruits, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.

Mariam Kapongo:

His appearance was a light, like lighting, and his clothes were white as a snow. The God was so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. The angel said to the woman Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here. He has reason and, just as he said, come and see the place where they lay him. Then go quickly and tell his disciple he is reasoned from the dead and he's going ahead of you into Galilee. They will see him now. I have told you, saints, there is your word for today. Yes, he is reason. All right, the devil came to your door.

Mariam Kapongo:

Hey, he came to my door. The devil came Quick like a flood. You know, when they said that the enemy come like a flood, he came on the biggest door like a flood. This was, um, last year of December 2023. Yeah, I remember that day last year, december 23. Before Lea go to her story, let me go on the side of the story, how I got it. Okay, so last year, december 2023, and like Mostly like end of the december where we're about to just say the last half.

Mariam Kapongo:

Yeah, we're about to say happy new year. The devil didn't want Lea to say happy new year. Devil said you remember the story of Job when he just go Running around grooming around? Yeah, and then Jesus called him and say Satan, where are you? And then he said I'm here. And then Jesus said have you seen my son, job? And then he's like, yeah, I seen him. Yeah, the only reason that you're blessing him you know, like he goes on and on.

Leya Mozaly:

Yeah, the only reason he's faithful to you is because you're blessing him with all of these things.

Mariam Kapongo:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, so, okay. So the devil and and, and I'm telling you guys the year 2023 layer was really busy in ministry. She was like you were like serving so hard. Yeah, you were like it was a busy year in ministry and uh, yeah, so you know the last, the last week of December, when you're like, oh, I am entering into my new year. I'm about to cross into my new year. I guess devil like sus it. Hmm, there is now. It's like I don't want you to cross over.

Leya Mozaly:

I want you to stay.

Mariam Kapongo:

Yeah, no, no, no, he didn't want you to stay, he wants you to come with him. Yeah, no, okay, anyways, okay. So I remember that day I got a phone call from one of our friend, one of our close friend, calling me. Um, he called, he called me, he's like heanna, where have you been? And then I was like I know, I'm just here. And then he's like your best friend has just passed out and she's been in the hospital. I say I say I told him. I was like wait, I was like who in the hospital?

Mariam Kapongo:

Yeah, I said, I said okay. First of all I knew he was not doing a prank, because he was very, very serious and he was, he was, he wasn't shocked really was telling me this and and I was also to him in shock. So I remember, put the phone down, I was like god, no, not there. She was like Jesus, she's too young, she have not accomplished her purpose yet. I was like not there, not. I was like god, no, no, no, no, no not there that, and so I was like start rebuking the devil.

Mariam Kapongo:

I'm like devil, get out not there You're not gonna have a life, you know. So please take us back to that journey of December.

Leya Mozaly:

Okay. Every no to be honest, though, every time I think about what happened in December, I always get so emotional.

Mariam Kapongo:

So Don't worry, I got some tissue ready for you. I know it's. It was an emotional time for all of us.

Leya Mozaly:

It was crazy Um so you know before I saw.

Mariam Kapongo:

Let me just say, like god is just faithful, yeah.

Leya Mozaly:

And when god is not yet done writing your story, nothing can come in between. So Last year, december, december 20, 26. Yeah boxing day.

Leya Mozaly:

I remember that day I woke up, the day before that we were at my brother's place, you know, to celebrate christmas Every year. You know you had fun. We played some games. We stayed up really late too, like I think we came back home like around 4 am. So you know, then I went back, I went straight to bed. I want to sleep, you know, it's good, I was feeling good, no headache, no, nothing. And then the next day, well, there's the same day I, just later on, I I wake up and I'm like, okay, you know, today's boxing day, you know maybe I'm gonna go to the mall and you know, do some shopping, see what what's on what's on sale right now.

Leya Mozaly:

So wake up. You know I, you know I do my things in my room and I go. I think I even went to shower, and then I come back and I.

Leya Mozaly:

Feeling like a headache. Okay, maybe it's just like, maybe I'm just tired from from last night, maybe, you know, maybe I stayed up too late and I'm just tired. So I was like, okay, you know it's gonna go, I continue doing my thing, I continue getting ready and stuff like that, and that's not around like 2 pm Already, oh, let's say 130, 140 pm. So since, like morning, I haven't Gone downstairs yet, right? So I was just in my room. So that headache kept coming, like continue, like harder and harder and harder. I was like, huh, no, this is like it's getting bad, it's getting really worse. Now I'm starting to feel really heavy.

Leya Mozaly:

So the most coming in the mall was just feeling weak and I just sat down on my bed. I remember sitting down in my bed and I was just like, oh, my goodness, what's going on? Like my head is really feeling heavy. And then I'm telling you Like you just took seconds like it was getting worse and worse and worse and worse. Then I started looking for my phone on my bed and I couldn't find my phone, for some reason, and then I just decided to talk to See. I'm like, hey, see, you know, see, our best friend, yeah, you're best friend, that's my best friend class, you know.

Leya Mozaly:

So I'm like, hey, siri, can you text me on that?

Mariam Kapongo:

my younger sister, Siri, Siri want to come down of the pump.

Leya Mozaly:

So I told Siri to text my sister to to come up with, you know, to bring me a glass of water with some time oh no, I'm feeling really hectic and it took like maybe like a minute or two minutes.

Leya Mozaly:

She was already up in my room and I saw her with the glass of water with a talent, oh, and I was just on my bed. I was just looking at her like this, and then she's like take the water. And then I was just looking at her and I Like I just felt like so weak my entire body, like I feel like I couldn't even move anymore and I couldn't even lift my hand to grab, to get the water. So I just looked at her, just look at her like this. And then that's when she's like, oh, something is wrong, right, and then from there I just kind of like I pass out, like my eyes just went up and I'm just like pass out like this on my bed. And then she ran downstairs, she called my parents and then my parents came up In my room. Then they started praying, they started praying, they started praying, started praying and I was gone. I was like I was like this on my bed.

Leya Mozaly:

I was not moving. I was just laid down like that, my eyes up, and as they were praying, as my parents were praying, because they were really like praying really hard, because as soon as they came in my room they saw that was, it was like a strange spirit.

Leya Mozaly:

It was a strange spirit, so that's what they started attacking, you know. So the more they were attacking that spirit, the more they were praying. Then I opened my eyes and I could see, like in my room, fire all over my room, like fire, mmm. But you know it was a fire, but the fire was not burning anything, it was. I could just see fire, but nothing was burning.

Leya Mozaly:

Mmm, I just saw fire like on between the roof and the wall and they. Then you know, when you see something that is strange, like my god, am I like going crazy, like what's going on? I was just seeing fire as they're praying. I could just see fire, fire, fire and then, when they continue praying, then I heard some voices. Hmm, I heard some voices, some voices. They were laughing. Oh they were laughing.

Mariam Kapongo:

That's the devil, you know.

Leya Mozaly:

You know that, that kind of life when you laugh and you, you laugh so hard that you like the enemy, like Like you know, like I don't know how I can explain that like when you like you laugh and you get so tired, but you still, you just do laughing.

Mariam Kapongo:

Yes, you know exactly.

Leya Mozaly:

You know, I heard those voices, though, and laughing in my room. In my room it was just my dad and my mom. At that point my sister was outside, she was already calling the ambulance, but my parents both of them were in their room, so then they were praying, but then I could hear other voices in the room, hmm, laughing. And then those voices. One of the voice said you, you know the same in my, in my, you know my language, but the In swahili they said like, you is just singing, you, it's all about singing, singing, singing.

Mariam Kapongo:

He was mad my.

Leya Mozaly:

Cuz just like few days before, like Before you guys just you guys just had a cancer.

Mariam Kapongo:

The spirit away move. It was big yeah. Church and then, yeah, so when I was like hearing those, those in the voice, was telling me like and I Like I heard like a lot of people got got ministry.

Leya Mozaly:

You know yeah.

Mariam Kapongo:

When we do the work of the, the devil really is not like when we do the work of God.

Leya Mozaly:

The devil, he's really not, he's always he's so, he's so against us. Yeah, he was mad. Yeah, I think that is like oh no, this girl I gotta get see it was accusing you.

Mariam Kapongo:

It's like you, it's just a thing.

Leya Mozaly:

Yeah, oh yeah, he was mocking me like ha, you just singing, singing, singing you know it's like it's like it's like you know when is this thing is going to take you.

Mariam Kapongo:

Yeah, you just singing, singing, yeah, and.

Leya Mozaly:

I'm telling you, my sister from there, that was it. That was it. That's what I left.

Mariam Kapongo:

And then, like I was it, you guys thought she left from there. She was no more response of her, yeah.

Leya Mozaly:

I was not moving, I was not talking my eyes because when I was seeing the fire is, my eyes were like open, like this right, and I'm like see things. But then, after that voice, then I shut, I like I shut my eyes down.

Mariam Kapongo:

But in about your parents. There were still praying and yeah, don't pray, you know.

Leya Mozaly:

and then Boom, the ambulance came, mm-hmm, and it know, just before the ambulance come, I remember at some point why I kind of like came back a little bit, because then, when I opened my eyes, my mom was holding me and she was like crying. Yeah, my mom was kind, she was holding me, she was praying, she was crying, and then again I left again. So it's like I was coming and going, coming and going, and I left again, and then from there the ambulance came.

Mariam Kapongo:

Hmm.

Leya Mozaly:

Oh man, hmm, the ambulance came, they took me. So now, this is not the story that now my family are now telling me.

Mariam Kapongo:

Yeah, because at this, at this moment, lea, she, she's passed out. No response. Yeah, I'm being this, couldn't not find out what's wrong with her. Nothing is wrong. Yeah, so now Lea, she is, she's, she's like completely out now her parents Transferring to the hospital, yeah, so the part of the story that she's gonna continue with it's her parents that they told her. Yeah, she came back. Yeah, it gets okay, that resurrection king, come on, Come on.

Leya Mozaly:

No, god is just so good. Yeah and yeah. So now from there that the ambulance took me. Mm-hmm and then everybody was not just crying yeah, cuz they thought I was dead, like oh man, she's gone, like this probably did, like a heart attack.

Mariam Kapongo:

You know, everybody was just crying and.

Leya Mozaly:

The ambulance took me and then my mom, she, my mom, she was, she was like out of the place. She was so emotional, she was crying. And then they took me to the hospital. They took me in the ambulance. I don't remember what happened in the ambulance.

Leya Mozaly:

I don't even know if somebody came with me the ambulance. I don't even, I don't know nothing, hmm. But the other image that I have, though, is I think that's when they were getting me off the the ambulance, were really at the hospital and they were getting me off the ambulance, and then I heard my, my brother's voices, hmm, of my brothers, salih and Jay. I heard their voices, and then it's like I could hear from far. The voice was saying like King's daughter, you got this, mmm, you got this, you are this, you got this. And then they took some. That's what it told me. Now they took. They had anointing oil, they took anointing all day, and then they were like touching me and praying over me.

Leya Mozaly:

And then that's just a little image that I like, that I remember, and then from there that took me inside. They put me in a room, they run all the tests, they be like everything so now that was like 2 pm.

Leya Mozaly:

That was 2 pm so they took me to the house. Maybe I got to the house, maybe around 2 30, and then so from 2 30 until I Came back, like I woke up at 3 am the next day, yeah, so that's like 12 hours Right from 3 pm To. Yeah, that's 12 hours of me being unresponsive. Hmm, I Was not moving, I was not talking, and then At some point I came like around 2 am or something like that, I came back, but then, no, I won't be nice, sorry, I have like I don't remember like all the details, the way they they, where they went, but around 12 am I came back but I was not able to talk. I was not able to speak. So I could see people. I could see things like. I remember seeing my mom, I remember seeing my dad. When my dad came in the room he was just crying seeing me Because my face too. That's one thing at that.

Mariam Kapongo:

You're fricking my face. This was a balloon. My face was already like yo, if you guys see the pictures and yeah, yeah, I have a picture- maybe can put it on the video to.

Leya Mozaly:

I don't know, but my face, my eyes were like, swollen, my, my mouth was, um, was already, because when I, when I pass out at home, my mouth was already, my tongue was out and then saliva was just coming out of my mom. So my, my, like, my whole face was swollen and I looked completely different.

Leya Mozaly:

You know, so whenever people come in the room and see me, they'll just stop crying because they're like, oh, my goodness, you know, like it's, it's this bad, you know. So I remember seeing my dad crying. I remember my brothers like and everybody that will come in the room, they just pray. You know they'll just they'll cry. And then they'll pray. You know They'll cry. But they'll pray and then everybody was like in the in the waiting In the waiting room, just waiting there praying even the nurses were like are you guys?

Leya Mozaly:

Patience on you guys are here for something?

Leya Mozaly:

No, no, we're here for someone like what, all of you guys are just here for one person. So, anyways, so I was not able to talk, I was not speaking. And then I remember being my brother, my older brother was trying, was trying to make me like, say Jesus, you know, like say Jesus. And then I couldn't like, I was just looking at him like this and I couldn't even talk, like, and then that was frustrating me, you know, cuz now I was not conscious, right, I was like man, like you, I'm alive, but I'm not able to like, I'm not able to use my, my mouth, you know.

Mariam Kapongo:

I was not able to speak.

Leya Mozaly:

So then that really got me. Then I like I'll just start crying, I would just start like tears will just start coming out of my, out of my eyes, you know. So it's really Like I remember they took, they did all the tests, like all the tests, yeah, all the tests and then they couldn't find anything, really nothing, nothing, nothing. They run like they put me in Crazy machines, they put me in man Things that I've never seen in my life. I remember they took me in this, in this machine, that kind of look like a Like how do you call that, sir?

Mariam Kapongo:

Okay, what is?

Leya Mozaly:

it Sir like you know, circus no the thing that they put you in when you die. Carfin.

Mariam Kapongo:

Okay.

Leya Mozaly:

I was just like wait. Where am I? Like you know.

Mariam Kapongo:

And I could see like from the other side.

Leya Mozaly:

I could see my mom like crying from like, oh man, I'm probably dead, yeah. So then around 3 am, that's when I really came back to my like, to my sense, and that's when I came back. And Then, even when I came back, like people were so shocked, you know, like my mom read. My mom read to the, to the waiting room and she's like, oh my gosh, she's awake, she, you know she's, she can talk. Because when they took me out from that, from those machine, my mom was just there with me and she was like trying, she was praying and praying. She was like they say something, say something. They say something, say Jesus or something. And then at some point I don't know how it happened, but I just looked at her and I opened my mouth and I said, mom, I'm okay.

Leya Mozaly:

Oh, that was the first thing that came out of my mouth when I came out of my mom I'm okay, hmm, and then what she? What she really she's like? Because, imagine, from yesterday, 2 pm Till like now at 3 am, mm-hmm, I haven't been able to talk.

Mariam Kapongo:

Oh yeah, I'll move.

Leya Mozaly:

Oh, so she, oh man, she was so happy, she went to the wedding. She wants to tell everybody everybody was happy about it. So they celebrate in God and Then, yeah, like they were, all the text didn't find anything. Glory to God. They couldn't find it in the scans. They couldn't find anything.

Mariam Kapongo:

Hmm.

Leya Mozaly:

They thought maybe, maybe is a tumor or cancer or something, all those things. They didn't find anything, man, but they didn't have an explanation.

Mariam Kapongo:

No explanation I mean nobody at this turn have no explanation. I mean this.

Leya Mozaly:

This just was the devil work at the end of the day this was the devil's work, because you know they wanted doctor came back, but now we're like around 7 am. No, it's like we didn't find anything. And you even said no energy.

Leya Mozaly:

No, nothing, nothing, you know. And it's funny because when the doctor came in the room he said as a joke is like what are you doing here? You know, go home, you're healthy. What are you doing? I was like I don't know what I'm doing here. You guys took me here, yeah. But yeah, they didn't find anything. The found that I'm healthy, but I came back to life like Resurrected King. Oh, she is reason.

Mariam Kapongo:

She is reason, not in the bed, not anywhere, she is reason. See the power of Jesus when God is not done with you, when your destiny is not done with you. I mean, the devil saw how far like he just got us. He just got a tiny, tiny look of your destiny, yeah. And then he said you know that you always singing, singing, singing. Ah, but he did not know that, jesus. That's why I really love about God. Guys like Do not give up on God.

Leya Mozaly:

This, like you know, what God does is that you know, sometimes you think like and I really love, I love the story of Lazarus actually.

Mariam Kapongo:

Lazarus, the story of Lazarus. It was the purpose why the world become flesh podcast started. Yeah, so that's, that's why this podcast died. It was based on the story of Lazarus.

Mariam Kapongo:

God was telling me that he want to arise. Like God was showing me that there's so many People that you've been in the cage, but the cage that you have been in there that he is not the one he put it in you. So he wanted to speak in that your cage, to come to arise you and to for you to walk into your purpose. So I was like when God gave me that vision cuz he give me, he give me like some people were in the cage and some people were bound in the chain and and then he said I want to free my people, like I Like he, he's like I really want to take them out of the bandage. And this is how the journey of the word become flesh podcast really started. It started with the journey of Lazarus. Like I was in church and and Pastor was preaching about Lazarus and and God's like that's why I want to do. I want to awaken People through this podcast.

Leya Mozaly:

Yeah, and you know what. What I can also add to that is that the story of Lazarus is really a Story to give us hope. You know, it's a story of hope because just imagine like they came. They came to call Jesus, right, saying that your friend Lazarus is sick. Your friend Lazarus is sick. Jesus didn't move, you continue doing his own thing, continue doing what he was doing.

Mariam Kapongo:

And then no, they do. Him was like sickness who's in charge of delivery sickness and I'm here. I'm still here, so why you telling me that's red? So you know and then Lazarus died, and then Jesus come now.

Leya Mozaly:

Jesus comes to the, to the funeral of Lazarus, because now is is dead, is you know?

Mariam Kapongo:

they've been buried in the right.

Leya Mozaly:

So now Marta and Mary run to him. Like Lord, if you had been here, I'm gonna still be alive. You know how many times we say that to do to our situation.

Leya Mozaly:

You know we think that Jesus is late Never you know, mary, and Marta maybe thought that Jesus is late, but one thing that Made that they forgot, that is, that they were talking to the person, was words of life. You know, and also they don't know that the glory of the resurrection is greater than the glory of the healing, because Jesus could, if Jesus had come, like four days before yeah, you would have healed Lazarus and you would have been another healing, you know because.

Mariam Kapongo:

Yet already done that before he already done the miracle.

Leya Mozaly:

He already done the miracle healing but resurrecting Someone who has been there for four days, that was something else you know. So the glory of the resurrection is greater than the glory of the healing right.

Leya Mozaly:

So when Jesus called, Lazarus, lazarus come for it, you know, and everybody was, was astonished. But Just to just to bring that to, to to my, to, my testimony is that, you know, in In a lot of situation in our lives, we think that God is Isn't it's late, oh, god is not here with me. God, you know, things are dead in my life, things are not moving in my life, like I don't, like my marriage is dead, everything is dead. But then that's when God comes, you know, and also us. We think, like he's, late.

Mariam Kapongo:

That's where he it's not so any saw you. It's not over, because I am. I still got to.

Leya Mozaly:

Me, me, he might be late, but he's still on time. You know we think he's late, but he is on the perfect time.

Mariam Kapongo:

Yeah, so I don't know.

Leya Mozaly:

I want to encourage somebody. I don't wear his listening or where he's watching. I want to increase somebody, like if you think that your life is over, or if you think like there's no more hope for you and you think that God is late in your situation, let me tell you like God is never late. He might be late, but he's still on time. Amen.

Mariam Kapongo:

We think he's late.

Leya Mozaly:

That's when he's on time, yeah so don't give up on God, because God is a faithful guy, you know. I mean and it's just amazing to also have people, you know, I will say, like surrender yourself with people who can pray. Hmm, you know people who can pray, because imagine me out in that situation where I was. I wasn't able, physically able to pray for myself.

Leya Mozaly:

Yeah, I wasn't able to pray for myself, but I had people around me who were praying, people who were, you know, praying for me and asking God to heal me, you know. I wasn't able to do that for myself. Yeah so surrounding yourself with the community or people who can pray is very, very important, you know, because I believe that is because of their prayers.

Mariam Kapongo:

That resurrecting that God brought me back. Yeah, that.

Leya Mozaly:

God brought me back.

Mariam Kapongo:

Man, we, we, we say we pray, we say God, not lay Devil. I don't know whose door you came to, not, but not at this door, man.

Leya Mozaly:

The prayers are very powerful, yeah very powerful, very powerful, you know, always be prayer, always believe, you know yeah, that is not done with you yet God is not done with you.

Mariam Kapongo:

No, you still have purpose. There's still victory, yeah, especially this, this holy week, as it's the holy week of resurrection. Resurrection, come on, like he, if he, if he, if he came back to the life, if he resurrected, it's because you.

Leya Mozaly:

he's not done, he's not done, it's not over until what God tells you it's over, okay, and he's able to resurrect everything that was dead in the life, yeah, everything that you thought was done over dead. God, because of his resurrection, we got the victory and God is able to resurrect everything, every situation that was dead in your life.

Mariam Kapongo:

Amen, man, what a powerful testimony of resurrection. Anyways, we just gonna, we're just gonna end up here like thanks, thanks for coming by and Sharing this wonderful testimony, but before we go, I mean, as you guys know, it's, it's it. As you guys know, it is a tradition where I'm gonna give you an opportunity to invite Jesus into your life. Right for people, for it's either you know Jesus, you were like me, you knew you knew Jesus, but then you're like, ah, I have nothing to do with Jesus anymore. Or if, even though you're, you are probably new and you're probably new, you're listening. You're like, my goodness, who is this, this person that they're talking to you guys about?

Mariam Kapongo:

So I will, I really I just want to give you guys an opportunity right now, right to save the sinner's prayer with me and and to allow the resurrection king to just come into your life, right To be, to to come into your life, to just give, give Jesus a try, give Jesus a chance. I said it would be one of the best decision that you ever gonna make into your life. So if you're, wherever you are right now, just repeat this prayer after me and say and say God, I want to give you a chance, or you're already, you're already with God and you just want to read the K your life back to Christ.

Mariam Kapongo:

So I just want to say this is the time, this is the moment. So if you can pray this prayer after me and say Lord Jesus Christ, I Believe you are the Son of God and I believe you die for me on the cross of covering. I Know I am a sinner. Today, I come to you to forgive me of all my sin and make me a brand new creation. I Accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you, lord Jesus, for forgiving me and make me a born again, and Jesus might in my prayed Amen.

Mariam Kapongo:

So if you had the boldness to just say that simple prayer, whatever you are in your room, in your car, in your shower, you just have the boldness to say that prayer. I always say it's stuck with the prayer, but you would need a community in order for you to grow. You would need a community. You're not, you're not gonna, you're not gonna shepherd yourself. It's a lie. Yeah, I mean, the devil will convince you. No, just stay here at home, watch YouTube. No, no, no, no. Get yourself plug in in the community. So if you're in the part of Edmonton and encourage you. There's so wonderful, wonderful churches in Edmonton. They mostly goes to a wonderful church here. Like she can share more about her church. Yeah, yeah, like great.

Leya Mozaly:

Yeah, I go. I pray at GCC Jerusalem City Church of Edmonton. It's situated at 8, 3 11 R R Road. Yeah, everybody's always very welcome to come in Be part of our service.

Mariam Kapongo:

Amen. It's a beautiful, wonderful church. That's where you got it. But that's why you got a witness layers, gifts, talents with. That's what she's serving as a king's daughter, okay. So y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all gotta, if in your, if you're in Edmonton, you know, I encourage you guys, go go.

Mariam Kapongo:

If you don't have a home church, you're looking for a community, you're looking for community to plug yourself in. You know, you can join me at GCCC On Sundays, right, they start at 11 o'clock, 10 am On Sunday on GCC, you know, here in Edmonton, okay, so that's one of, that's one of the church that you know we are, we are, we are directing you. And another one, of course, you all know that your girl is a part of Conor's Son Christian Church of God. Okay, so the Conor's Son Christian Church of God, it's Castle here in Edmonton. We have, on Sundays, we have three wonderful services. So three services. So there's no excuse literally why you cannot make it. We have not. We have nine in the morning if you're early riser, and then there is at 11 and then there is a 1 pm. The 1 pm Is basically for business people. If you want to, if you're interesting in business, you know, I mean my spiritual authority, a pastor manual, teach all all those services. He definitely teach great, great teaching. So we're located here in Edmonton at 9, 2, 4, 49 and 50th Street.

Mariam Kapongo:

So now, if you're not part of Edmonton, your summer house I encourage you, plug yourself into our home church, plug yourself into a community. As you guys heard on on on on King's daughter's testimony, it took prayer to resurrect it, her back into life. So that was her community Community. It is important. There is a way that the devil always, always convinced us.

Mariam Kapongo:

Say that no, you don't need people, you know you can do this alone. It's a lie. Even Christ himself, as a king of King, he had 12. He had to go find the 12 to walk with. So therefore, you need a community, you need to plug yourself into a community. So don't think that you're gonna save yourself at home. No, there's no way that you're gonna save yourself at home. So if you're wonderful in Edmonton and you don't have a home church, we have given you two great places for you to go this Sunday with no excuse. Okay, come and find us finally at GCC and come find me, a corner service in church of God, where we have been feed spiritual field, where our spiritual authority, are really investing in our souls and Make sure that we are going to make on the last day now.

Mariam Kapongo:

Thank you so much there for stopping. I'm working on flash podcast. We appreciate you. Have you okay, so?

Leya Mozaly:

much, and I'm so, I'm so grateful. I just want to say something before we end.

Leya Mozaly:

I just feel like you know the spirit is leading me to like, just encourage somebody. You know, like as being like living in this world. There's so much going on in this crazy world, right, and Sometimes you feel like we don't belong. But I just want to encourage somebody today that there's still hope. You know, as long as you're still living, there's still hope for you and never give up on God. You know, never, never give up on God, because you will never give up on you, you know there might be pain in the morning.

Leya Mozaly:

Oh, there might be pain in the night, sorry, but joy Counts in the morning, right? So we have to be connected to our God. You said that he is the true vine and we are the branches, you know. So we cannot leave Without being connected to him. A branch by itself, like this, it's gonna drive, it's gonna die, right? That's where your community come exactly. So you need to be connected, you know, to community, to spiritual Father, to God, you know. But one thing that you should never do is to give up on God, because he will never give up on you. God is so the same. The same God who resurrected Lazarus is the same. Don't give up on God, because he won't give up on you. He's able have a resurrection on day six. We love you guys. You, you, you.
