Lord, in Jesus' mighty name, I pray Amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen. Saints, welcome to the Word Became Flesh podcast. I am your host. My name is Mariam. I'm so excited to be here on this couch today. I know, last week I promised, I said that we're going to have a special guest and we're going to talk about mental health. Okay, so I went ahead far with the episode, but the mental health episode is soon coming. So I went ahead far with the episode, but the mental health episode is soon coming. It's soon, it's coming. It's coming with our guests. It's going to be here and it's going to be yeah, it's going to be amazing. So that will be on our season three.

Mariam Kapongo:

So today's episode we're wrapping up season two. So I thought that we should just do a recap of our season two episode, like everything that the Lord has done from the, from the, from january to to February and until now we're in June. So, um, so this episode is just really we're reflecting. We're reflecting on what god has done, we're reflecting on his just really we're reflecting. We're reflecting on what God has done, we're reflecting on his goodness and we're reflecting on his mercy and his faithfulness through this podcast and through the guests that they've been here, the guests that they've been we were so honoured to have them, the guests that you know they came shared their testimony how the word of God became flesh into their life. So we're just so excited. I mean we have come so far from season one to season two. I mean, from season one we started just as the podcast, just as audio, and then you guys requested a YouTube video, you know. So God has just been so faithful, and also to the people that God has been adding to this podcast. So I was like we're just going to take time to say thank you, Jesus. You know to just have a grateful heart, to just open up a grateful heart. So I want to say thank you, lord.

Mariam Kapongo:

Let's take, let's go back to memory land, okay? So about Lord? Let's go back to memory land, okay? So let's take January 1st, where we talk about farewell to the past and hello to our future blessing January was amazing where we say farewell to our past, where we say goodbye to our past. We set up our New Year's goal and I hope that any goal that you guys set up in this January that you're pushing on through your goal and you're working into it. So that episode was amazing. We just welcome the blessing that God has for us for the year of 2023, which was so exciting.

Mariam Kapongo:

And then, after that, january 28, we talk about the benefits of walking with Jesus. This episode was really good. So just understand why do I need to walk with God, why do I need to walk with Jesus, understand your benefits package and use your benefits package. Because we're a benefit child, we are children with benefits, we're a benefit child, we are we, we, we are child, we are children with benefits, you know.

Mariam Kapongo:

And then we continue on on February 3rd where we talk about the benefit, uh, benefits part two. So the benefits continue. You know, like, know your benefits, understand your benefit package. So I encourage you. If you really don't know your benefits, you're like oh, what, what are the benefits of walking with Jesus? Guys, there is such a wonderful, great benefits of walking with Christ Jesus. I mean it's amazing. Even Moses blissing. I'm a benefit girl, you're a benefit boy, you know. I mean, yeah, so this episode, like, if you're still just want to know, like, what do I get with Christ? What is my benefits package, what is my insurance package? So this episode is definitely an episode for you that you just connected.

Mariam Kapongo:

And then after that, february 26th, we talk about a journey through faith, identity and spiritual deliverance. This episode was really, really special to me because I share a personal testimony how I was delivered. Guys Like, ooh, I was delivered from the spirit of bisexual and lesbian because the enemy was convincing me, like he was giving me images and stuff like that, that I am, I am meant to be, um, lesbian. So, um, I shared this episode like how I was delivered and then how I gained back my identity in christ. You know how I gained back my power in christ. So it's, it's very good episode, um, and it's a good episode to connect with it. If, um, you know, if you, if you feel like you, you need um, you need deliverance, um, um, spiritual, all. But you just want to listen to the journey. How did she get delivered? I mean it was, it was a special, it was a special episode. I mean, um, yeah, so connect with it, connect with it, go listen to it, okay.

Mariam Kapongo:

And then, april 1st I love this episode on April 1st we talk about she is not in the hospital bed. She is reason. This episode was with my only and only my sister, lea Moseley, who she's an artist, she's a gospel artist, which I hope that you guys are connecting with her music on iTunes. Um, she came and share her testimony how, in December, you know, just like um we're 2023, just like in um 2022, um of December, with how the enemy trying to take her life away, but how, um, and then um, she shared a testimony, how she um, how she came back to life. And this episode was a good episode because um, it lay, it lay on the day of resurrection, on Christ resurrection, on resurrection Monday. So I mean, I love it. She is not, she's not in the hospital, she's reason. So, if you feel like you're in the moment, right now in your life, that you feel like things in your life they're dying, no man, you're not dying, you're resurrected, you are, you are arising, the Lord is arising, you, you know. So, connect with this episode, connect with the testimony. It was amazing, amazing testimony how the word of God just literally became flesh into her life. So I love this episode.

Mariam Kapongo:

And then April was a good month. April was a good month, I mean, and it was also my birthday month. So, as I said, this episode is a Thanksgiving episode. We are saying thank you, jesus. Episode is a thanksgiving episode. We're saying thank you, jesus, um.

Mariam Kapongo:

And then, april 29, we had my sister, siona bahaya, who's an author. Um, she came, um, she came here on this couch. She talked about being fearfully and wonderfully crowned. I mean, I love, love, love that book. So if you have not connected with this book yet, I encourage you to connect with this book on Amazon, on everywhere that you just buy your book. This is a great book. It is a great book for you guys to connect with it. It was so.

Mariam Kapongo:

She shared her testimony. You know how she found her identity in Christ, how she found her identity in Christ, how she found her calling in Christ and then how she, understanding the important, how Psalm 139 truly did became flesh into her life and how it transformed her life. So this book is amazing book. She talks about everything. This book, literally, you need to grab your tissue because she's talking about everything. Relationships yeah, um, messed up. Relationship that she went, that the lord delivered her, you know. So it is a great book that you grab and then, aslo, as you're grabbing the book, please make sure, grab a tissue too, because you're going to cry. Make sure you're grabbing a box of tissue because it is so um, the book is full of deliverance and it's amazing. So we had the great honor for her to come and just talk about her book. So, um, if you're, if you're in a season that you're feeling that you don't know your identity but you want to connect with your identity in Christ, so this is a wonderful, great book for you guys to grab and um, yeah and uh, and to connect with this book.

Mariam Kapongo:

So, and then May, may, yeah, the month of May, we taught um, we, we we had pastor David Russell, which I love. Pastor David Russell, he was right here and he talked to us about the importance of finding your identity in Christ. Okay, so he talked about the importance of finding your identity in Christ. That episode was incredible. If you're struggling of again, of finding your identity, know your identity, know who you are in Christ, please, please, please, please, do connect with this episode. Pastor David shared so much, so much knowledge and he also shared his only his own personal testimony how he found his identity in Christ, which it was amazing. So, please, please, please, do connect with that episode. Okay, also, too, we had a great privilege, okay, on a on may 27. We had a great privilege.

Mariam Kapongo:

We, where we sit here with um, with the lead pastor, lead found of cornerstone christian church of god, a paso emmanuel adewusi. Okay, aka my okay, aka my spiritual father, aka my spiritual authority, he was here. We talk about the blessing being under spiritual authority, which I love. It's one of his books. I love that book. I'm telling you that book is not just a one-time book, it's a daily reminder book, especially when the devil fighting you with the spirit of rebellions that you want to, um, you want, you want to be rebellion against authority. It is such a wonderful book to connect with and to just go with it and understanding why do we need to be under spiritual authority? So this book is everywhere, everywhere that, um, you find your book is everywhere, and also also to guys. As I said, a pastor emmanuel a day we see have others wonderful books like great, wonderful books, great read books that you can connect with those books. You can, you can connect with him right. So it was such a great, great, great, great, great, great, great privilege to have my daddy right here sitting on this couch.

Mariam Kapongo:

And then the month of June 10, if you have not listened to this episode, this was just a recently new new episode. This one it was with my sister, idunu Oluwa, where we talk about Beholding Jesus. She came to talk to us about her beautiful album, which we love the album. It's a great album. If you have not listened to the song Beholding Jesus, I encourage you, go to iTunes and connect with the song and even go on YouTube. I believe so. Connect with the song and even go on YouTube. I believe so. Connect with the song. You know, have a we talk about, even though, when it gets so hard that we need to stay with God, we need to behold with God, we need to behold with Jesus. So this episode was definitely amazing. I, I love it.

Mariam Kapongo:

So everything I mean season two, that's the wrap of season two, and now this is the last episode of season two, which is an episode of Thanksgiving. Oh God, we are so grateful, grateful for what God has been doing here on this podcast, grateful for how many people that they jumped in, that they listen. You know they the message that they connect. They say, hey, this episode really blessed me, or I connect with this episode, you know. So we're so grateful, um, that we're officially done season two. Um, so this, as I said, that, um, um, we, uh, we're not done, we're just going to. We're just going to another different road. We're just going to our season three, which I am so excited for.

Mariam Kapongo:

Season three Because when I was praying and I was just connected with God and I was asking God, what is season three? Like I'm going to give you guys, I'm just going to give the title of season three, like I I'm gonna give you guys, I'm just gonna give the title of season three. Okay, I mean just understanding how good this season is going to be. Okay, season three, you're ready, you're ready for this. Come, come a little bit closer. So season three, we're talking about how you are god's masterpiece, hey. So season season two, it was completely seasoned that where we focus on finding our identity, understanding our identity, understanding who we are in Christ, right. But season three, we're going the road that we're going, it's masterpiece. You are God's masterpiece. So I'm excited. I'm excited, that's all I'm going to say. That's all I'm going to say, that's all I'm going to say.

Mariam Kapongo:

So, as we're going to take a short mini break to get ready for our season three. I encourage you guys to just connect with our season two episode that they're available here for you guys. So for today's scripture that I want us to read, the scripture that we're reading today is going to be Psalm 107, verse 1 and 3. Yeah, so I am going to read the word for today. It says so.

Mariam Kapongo:

I just want to say saints, say saints, oh, give thanks unto the lord that, whatever trouble that you are facing this season, we're in the month of june, we're in the month of june. I don't want you to think that you are alone. You're never alone. You're never alone. You got god, the father, god, the son, god, that the holy spirit is always there, backing you up. He's always there, fighting, fighting your battles for you. You know you're always victorious. So this episode is just an episode for you to sit down.

Mariam Kapongo:

Things that you're grateful to God, things you know stay with a heart, with a passion of thanksgiving, no matter what situation that you're going through. I mean, look how far god has brought you, from january to february, to march, to may, um, to, to, to march, to april, to may, and now you're in june, and now you're the last mond of June. See, god has been so good. You know the enemy sometimes wants us to sit and be like was surely God good into your life? Yes, he was good. You know, as the Bible said, come, come, enter his gates with thanksgiving, enter his gates with court. Know that the God, he is good, know that God is good, god is good. Whatever situation that we go through, whatever situation that you're facing to understanding, know that your God, he is good, he is good, he is good.

Mariam Kapongo:

So this I want us to when we have the heart of gratitude, the heart of acknowledge. You know it's so easy for us to just sit with the heart of complaint, like, oh God, but this, but this, but this, but this, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Don't give the enemy that space of God or this and this. Open up your heart and have a pastor of thanksgiving. Open up your heart and have a pastor of thanksgiving. Open up your heart and have a pastor of thanksgiving.

Mariam Kapongo:

You know I was always getting ready for this episode and I was like God, what's next, what's next? And God's like I want thanksgivings and I was like ah, so like we have to have. Like you know how parents you always teach your kids to say please and thank you. That's the same god he loves when we say jesus, thank you. You know, when you, when you first wake up in the morning, you know I'm even I'm even learning this myself like when I first wake up in the morning, I don't um, I don't grab no phone, I don't grab no thing. I wake up and I say thank you, lord. You have waking up your daughter again.

Mariam Kapongo:

You know, I encourage myself with the prayer of thanksgiving. You know you start acknowledging. You know, the more that you acknowledge it it's strengthening your relationship with God. It's strengthening your relationship with God. So this June, I just want you to stay with the gratitude of thanksgiving. Thank you, lord, for all you have done, for all that you are doing in my family. Look at your family, look at your children, look at your career, look at your job, look at your church, look at your pastor. You know, brag the Lord, brag him and say God, oh, oh, I'm so grateful, I am so thankful. Look what you're doing in my husband's life. Look what you're doing in my pastor's. You know, look at what you're doing in this great city of Edmonton. Thank you, jesus. I mean, I'm not a fan of the Oilers, but the Oilers are making Edmonton proud. We're in this great land of Edmonton, we're in this land of champion. You know, look around it and just start finding things to be grateful to God. Just start things to be grateful to God and say God, I thank you, I thank you, I thank you for my children, I thank you for my husband, I thank you for my job, I thank you for my husband, I thank you for my job. I thank you for my pastor. You know gratitude, gratitude, let's have the pastor of gratitude. You know of thanking him.

Mariam Kapongo:

You know when we're, when we're, so, where, um, thankfulness is not a time to flatter God. No, it is not. Don't let the enemy say you're flattering him. No, it's not. It's not a time to flower god, but it's something. It's something for us too.

Mariam Kapongo:

You know you, I mean parents. I think you can't classify this. When, when your, when your child show you oh, thank you dad, thank you mom, how does your dad feel? You're like, oh, you're welcome. You know, like, connect with j Jesus, like that, like that. Oh, jesus, today it was a wonderful day, I thank you for the day. But don't, um, don't be, don't be like the children of Israel. I mean, yeah, don't be like the children of Israel. You know, um, they were in Egypt. They complain, they make to the promised land. They complain, complain, complain, complain. Honestly. God doesn't associate with complainers, okay, like he literally doesn't associate with complainer.

Mariam Kapongo:

He loved a heart of gratitude. A heart of gratitude, you know. See what the Lord has done, see what he's doing. In my life the Lord has been so good, so connect with God. My life the Lord has been so good, so connect with God. Connect with God with thankful, with with the heart of thanksgiving. Our thanksgiving prayer flow from the heart that recognizes goodness is in our life and he's amazing character, amazing character. Who is, who is God the father to you? Who is Jesus to you, to you? You know who is your daddy to you. You know, acknowledge him, acknowledge him with praise, with um, even even worship, even putting some songs, you know, songs of gratitude, songs of thanksgiving, songs of dancing, all of that you know.

Mariam Kapongo:

Just make a joyful sound. I want you to make a joyful sound that it is June, the last Monday of the month, no matter that I'm going through, I am making a joyful sound into my God. It's take a discipline and help us to remain in the pasture of humility, adoration and thankfulness for all that God has done into our lives. See how far the Lord has done, see what is amazing, see the good things that the Lord has done. Season two is officially over.

Mariam Kapongo:

What do we say, saint? We say thank you Jesus. Thank you, lord, for your faithfulness through this season. Thank you, jesus, for every vessel that you use in this season, every vessel that they seek here. Lord, oh God, lord, we are so grateful. We thank you. We thank you the voices that they came here, god, the word that they came, the scripture that they came here. God, we're just so thankful for this season. The people that they were behind the cameras. You know the people. I don't do this alone. I have people that they're behind the cameras, people that you know they're behind this. I mean and also thank you, god, from my spiritual father, a pastor, emmanuel Adewisi, who always give me a word of encouragement, like he would keep me going, the word that he teach you know. So we are so thankful for this season too, and we know that the Lord is going to do wonderful things into the season three episodes. So we thank you, jesus.

Mariam Kapongo:

So, as you sit down for July and August when you're missing us. Please, please, please, connect with the old season, connect with our season one and then connect with our season two, because season three we are coming. It's going to be like Season three is going to amazing guys. I'm really, I'm really so excited. I'm excited what god's gonna do on season three and I'm excited for the voices that god's gonna bring on this couch and sharing their personal testimony how the word of god became flesh into their life. I love it, love it, love it, love it, love it.

Mariam Kapongo:

So, with that, with that, um, with that, say um, with that, for this notice, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for all the people that they were here from day one, from season one to season two, and for the ones that they um, they uh, the, the, the and ones that they just start this journey on clicking on this podcast, on sharing this podcast. So we say thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for the souls out there and the souls that they're being restored and the souls that they've been awakening to God's kingdom. Again, you know, the souls that they're awakened, taking the kingdom of God by force, thanking God's kingdom by force. We are so grateful, grateful, grateful, grateful.

Mariam Kapongo:

So, before we wrap up, I will officially go on to wrap up with a prayer. It's a prayer that we say here on the podcast, where we invite you to receive Christ as your Lord personal savior, where we ask you to, yeah, to invite Christ as your as your personal savior, so, um, also to for the people that they want to renew their relationship back with Christ. You know you were with, once with Christ once upon a time, like me, and then, yeah, we are with Christ once upon a time with people like me, and then you want to rededicate your life back to Christ. This is a prayer for you. So I invite you guys to say this prayer with me. Say, dear Lord, jesus Christ, I believe you died for me on the cross of Calvary. I know I am a sinner and today I come to you to forgive me of all my sin and to make me a brand new creation. I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you, lord, for forgiving me and for making me born again. In Jesus' name, I pray Amen, amen. Congratulations.

Mariam Kapongo:

Once I say congratulations to you, welcome to the body of Christ, but also I always say that this prayer should not be a prayer that just stay into your living room, all right, should be a prayer that you take action. You know, when you confess with your heart, you accept Christ. He's immediately. Like Jesus said I am, I am knocking, I am, I am knocking, and and I want to hear those who are who let me in. So if you have let him in right now and you'll say that prayer, I want to say congratulations to you, welcome to the kingdom of God, welcome to the beautiful welcome, welcome to the kingdom of God, where there's always victory into his kingdom. So I want to welcome you, but also to want to encourage you that don't let that prayer just sit in your living room, or sit in your room, or sit in your car, or sit in your bathroom, or sit in your office, whatever that. You're just listening to this episode. I want you to take that prayer with action.

Mariam Kapongo:

If you don't have a home church, I want you to connect to a home church. I want you to find a home church. Connect to a home church. I want you to connect to our home church. Okay, I want you to find a home church. Connect to our home church.

Mariam Kapongo:

Um, and don't be, don't be a Christian that you just want to walk alone. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, that's not. That's not why our father died on the cross. He did not die on the cross for us to be alone. We're not meant to do life alone, okay, we're meant to do life with God, the father, god, the son and God the Holy spirits. And then, after that, when you do life with God the father, God, the son, god the Holy spirit you're meant to submit yourself under a spiritual cavalry, because the word of God says under a spiritual covering, because the word of God says um, he will give you a shepherd after his own hearts, all right. So, therefore, there is a shepherd that is meant for you to cover you, to cover you after God's own heart. So I encourage you to find a shepherd. Find a shepherd and be covered, all right, um, for the people out there, they're like oh man, I am so fine Just sitting here in the living room and reading my Bible. That is great, that's amazing. Continue building a personal relationship with God.

Mariam Kapongo:

But there, um, I want to remind you guys, a beautiful story, um, a beautiful story in the book of act. I was reading. I was reading this um I, I, I love this story so much in the book of acts between con connolly, connell connellius and peter connellius and peter, um connollius he was. He was um connellius. He was, uh, a Gentile Cornelius. Yeah, cornelius, he was worshiping God in his house, right, he was a Jewish, I think he was a Jew. Anyway, somebody correct me in the comment if I'm wrong. I'm so sorry, but I think he was a Jew, sorry. So, um, so, cornelius was worshiping God in his house, right, with his family.

Mariam Kapongo:

We're to a moment that God says you know what? Cornelius? Well, the angel, he had a visitation from the angels and then, I think, in his life, god wanted to take him to the next level of his life. Okay, god wanted to take Cornel, him to the next level of his life. Okay, god wanted to take Cornelius to the next level of his life. But, um, in order to do that, god asked him that he needs to go send for Peter. He needs to go look for Peter.

Mariam Kapongo:

So, therefore, there's some points, there's there's some point that come into your life that you're reading the word of God and you're just connecting with the word of God in the house, by yourself, with your family, which is amazing thing. But there's a season where God wants you to have somebody who's going to teach you the word so you can have understanding better of the word, understanding better of the word. So then God told him, like you need to go, search for Peter, that Peter needs to come over and teach you this word. And I guess at that time, cornelius, he has not received the Holy Spirit yet, he has not been baptized yet with the gift of the Holy Spirit. So then the Lord commanded him that he needs to go to send for Peter. You know he needs to send Peter. So Peter came into his house. Once he came to his house, he preached the word of God so much with passion, and Cornelius and the rest of the household, they will be able to receive the Holy Spirit in the house, they will be able to receive the Holy Spirit in the house.

Mariam Kapongo:

So, therefore, that I want to encourage, I want to encourage you. Yes, there's a moment that you can read the word by yourself, but you need to be under covering. So, the Lord, I'm saying that you need to be under covering. So, the Lord, I'm saying that you need to be under covering, you need to be under a notoriety, okay, under a notoriety who's higher level than you. You know who is higher level than you, who understand the word of God more than you. So be covered under a spiritual leader. So I encourage you, go out there and find a church. And if you don't know a church, and then you're like, um, I don't have a church, I don't know a church, and then if you're in a great city of Edmonton, the city of champion, I want to encourage you, come, come, come I want to encourage you personally to my church, um, where I found the breath of life, where I found the breath of life, where the breath of life is being preaching daily.
