Woven Worlds, a Machigringo Birth Story with Breanna Shannon
In this episode, Fatua is joined by her long time soul sister Breanna Shannon, who shares her story of what it was like to bring her son into the world, whose father is of the Machiguenga, a tribe native to the Peruvian Amazon rainforest.
Breanna discusses how she applied the concept of Amazonian plant dietas to her pregnancy, taking time to honor the connection with her growing baby in each trimester. She shares about her natural birth in a teepee, and the importance of incorporating the elements of nature, such as the sacred fire throughout her journey.
