Persisting Through Setbacks in Business

This week was an example that nothing will ever go perfectly according to plan, no matter how hard you work on something or how long.

Today, I was about to release my best YouTube episode I ever made. The music, video editing, stock footage, color grading, and overall project quality was the best I had ever produced. It was truly my best work, and then Final Cut Pro deleted all of it when the app crashed.

Of course, even an Apple M2 Mac could not solve this problem. Even enough data or storage could not solve this problem. Saving the project would have never made a difference. In the end, as simple and as annoying that it may be, nothing can ever be perfect, no matter how badly we try to make things perfect.

Persistence is what separates the winners from the losers. The rich from the poor. Those who can overcome struggles and setbacks will see success over those who quit when things get hard. The key to life is to never give up.

Today, until my phone dies since we have 17%, we're on low power mode. I'm making this video to talk about why you need to persist through the problems. Okay, so just a little back story.

This past two weeks, I've been working on a really awesome YouTube episode, like it was going to be really good. It was going to be my best one, best one. It was already edited, it was already done and guess what happened? Final Cut Pro completely deleted the whole thing. Yes, final Cut Pro deleted the entire thing. All of it Even looked in my history. I looked everywhere, all over Final Cut Pro. I have an Apple Mac, so I looked on the hard drive that I was using. I looked on pretty much everything my Macintosh. I lost all of my entire progress. It was the best YouTube video I ever made, yet it was literally just perfect. It was the best YouTube video I ever made, yet it was literally just perfect. It was honestly amazing. Too much storage on my laptop, so I have an Apple M2 chip. I think it's an 8 RAM and it's 256 gigabytes, so it's not really the best.

When it comes to econ, especially for video editing, oh my god, especially if you're going to use final cut pro. You're going to use final cut pro. Good luck. Good luck. If you're going to try to be a video editor, you better get used to using ai, because moral of the story is you can't give up. So now I have no episode for this week. I have nothing, and I had this entire thing done. It was a 22 minute episode, the video was going to be freaking great and now I have nothing.

So it's just a point that you know you can't give up. I have a choice to say. You know what? Screw the YouTube channel, let's just give up on it. Nobody's going to care, nobody's going to watch my stuff anyway, anyways, but we're going to make a conscious decision to not give up on it. Never give up, never quit. You persist through the pain. You see, in entrepreneurship and business you have a choice. When things go hard, when things go wrong, when you're behind on things, you can just let it go and just give up, or you can just be patient and you can make it work. And at the end of the day, we all have a choice, and you know what? I'm the kind of guy who's just going to try to take a breath, shake it off, be a little depressed for 10 minutes, but we're going to keep going and keep moving forward because I live to my own message, which is to never quit, never give up. You fight and persist through difficult things, through problems.

Okay, again, this was the best freaking YouTube video I was going to make. I was really excited about it. It was some of my best editing I've done and it just looked professional. It was just. It was perfect. The sound effects were in there. It just took forever. It took me all week to do this entire YouTube episode and now I have nothing for this week and I also have another podcast interview that I have to edit too. So it's funny that I now have two videos that I'm behind on.

I actually, by the way, lost a bunch of progress because, again, it's not that I didn't back up my stuff on Final Cut Pro. I definitely backed it all up. I'm very good with this. I used my time machine disk, all of that stuff, okay, and we're back. My phone just told me that my iPhone storage is too full and stopped my video, so I'm not on Snapchat. I'm using my resources. I'm just saying my phone is out of storage. I can't save anything to my laptop. I my Final Cut Pro is not working. I have a lot of things to do for potential prospects who are expecting some performance guarantees from me, so I got so much work to do and it's just.

Today is a living example of why, in business and entrepreneurship, prepare for shitty days, prepare for hard times, prepare for trouble, because you're just always dealing with trouble. You're always dealing with problems. You're always dealing with problems. You're always dealing with something. We've learned from this drive that you know what Mistakes happen. Nothing's perfect. It's okay to not be perfect, and in business, that's exactly what makes you great is learning from those mistakes. So never give up. Believe in yourself, stay prudent, stay powerful, stay wealthy.
