11: What Happens on Presentation Day? Step inside a designer’s client presentation with Emma Hann
Today we’re taking you inside client Presentation Day where you’ll discover what goes into it and how you can get the most out of this exciting stage of the design process.
I love how Emma describes the presentation as a story, with different layers and elements of the design unfolding during the presentation and coming together in a cohesive, measured and highly detailed outcome at the end.
Emma has some great advice for clients in this process, including allowing time for the ‘back of house’ design work to be done by your designer and again during the presentation waiting for all the drawings, finishes and materials to be revealed.
We also discuss the dangers of using online imagery to select colours and materials, as well as drawing too heavily on inspo images to create your design. Trust in the design process and in your designer’s expertise to deliver something that is perfect for you, your lifestyle and your home.
