Episode 4 -Four Pillars to Make Healthy Habits Stick (128-154 Steps/Min)

Brook Benten, M.Ed. Season 1 Episode 4

You’ve probably heard that it takes 21 days to form a habit. The length of time it takes to establish a habit actually fluctuates, not surprisingly, with the quickest habits being things that you like doing.
But you won’t like doing every healthy habit. So, how do you make those an automatic part of your lifestyle, anyway?
Maybe you’ve heard it’s like training a puppy. That’s cute. A puppy will do anything, from sitting on command to going potty outside, for a snack, a nuzzle, a cheap toy, or your attention. Adorable. That’s not you. You are less like a puppy than you are an old goat.

Learn a lot in a little time about goats and a lot about how you can make healthy habits stick by building these four strong pillars.

Join Brook on this passionate walk-and-talk, where the first 3:30 will be spent walking at 128 steps-per-minute (4 MPH), then accelerate to 154 steps-per-minute (5 MPH) for 5:30, and finish the rest of the 20 (eh, 25)-minute walk at 128 steps-per-minute.

Don’t miss the commentary after “done-zo.”
