I'm so glad that you're tuning in for today's episode.

Speaker 1:

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to do a sound healing certification and I am so glad that I did it. I was a little bit hesitant at first, just really wanting to be intentional with how I'm investing my time and my energy and how I'm expanding my toolkit as a coach, and I am so glad that I did it. I learned so much about sound, but I also was able to experience it for myself, and sound healing for me just over the past few years has been so incredible. I love it so much, and so I'm really excited to have this new certification and be able to incorporate it more into my work. For today I wanted to share with you, building off of last week's episode about flower essence, but before we dive in, I'd love to share with you a little bit about sound healing and what I learned about it, and some opportunities that we can work together this month, some upcoming classes that I have that I think you'll enjoy. So I learned a lot about the history of sound healing, which I won't go too much in depth into, but I will say that it's been around, for you know, thousands of years, and in every culture they have a different relationship to sound and how either music or sound can be used for healing. And what we've incorporated into today, like modern day sound healing, is that it reduces pain by activating the endorphin pathway and blocking pain signals from being transmitted to the brain. It lowers anxiety and is helpful for calming patients, maybe either preparing them for surgery or labor or childbirth or helping with their recovery. It also lowers stress and it can boost our immune system. So sound is energy and it can affect our bodies on a cellular level. So, being a certified sound healer, now I'll know that the work that I'm doing is helping people and I'll also probably be connecting it with the different energy centers in the body, the different chakras, and really moving energy that way. And then another certification that I received, so I got the sound healing one, and then I also received Crystal singing bowl certification, and so what this is doing is combining the energy of quartz and sound and using it and using it to create a vibration singing bowl, and that creates a sound wave, and that is what helps with the clearing of the energy and the shifting, the relief of anxiety, of stress. And what's interesting is that our bodies are similar to quartz, so they both contain silica, and silica is a building block of collagen, which is why singing bowls are helpful in lowering inflammation and stimulating circulation. So I'm really excited to incorporate this into my work in the future.

Speaker 1:

And three things that I always suggest coming back to I probably have mentioned this in a previous episode is, if anything's coming up for you. You always have breath, sound and movement. So breath can be breath work, mindful breathing, just connecting with your breath, pausing, taking a deep breath. And then sound can be something like sound healing. It could be listening to music that is relaxing or calming or makes you when is. It's a specific emotion for you. And then the third is movement. So this can look like going for a walk, stretching, yoga, going for a run, moving your body, static dance, things like this. So I love coming back to breath, sound, movement, and now I kind of check off two of those in a session. So if I do like a breath work with the sound healing, that's really cool. And then maybe, who knows, maybe in the future, I'll have a Yoda served yoga certification of some sort and then we can incorporate that movement to. I do have this, a medic piece, I guess. So the somatic movement.

Speaker 1:

So this month in the rest of March oh my gosh, I can't believe it's already March 18 that means that on Wednesday it will have just become spring. So happy spring. So this month in March I'll be teaching three different classes and I just want to share a little bit about each one to see if any of it stands out for you and is something that you would want to attend. So when this episode is released, it will be Wednesday morning, and so tonight, as of Wednesday morning, so this Wednesday, I'll be teaching on somatic awareness and body based healing and what this means is. I really know that there's so much jargon and so much information out there about what somatic healing is and what it means to be in your body, what it means to regulate your nervous system, how it's different maybe from other approaches, how it can supplement maybe some practices that you're already doing and really understanding how to foster and strengthen that mind body connection and why it can help with any feelings of anxiety, of self doubt, of anger, guilt, shame. It's really a practice and a modality that you can use for so many different things. So that's what I'll be teaching on tonight. It will be all about somatic awareness, body based healing, what that means, what that looks like. I will be doing half teaching and then I'll lead half of an experience so you'll be able to learn and then also integrate that through an experience that I'll lead you through.

Speaker 1:

The next class that I will be teaching is in person and that is a vision board check in workshop. So this is perfect for you if you've created a vision board this year and you're looking to revisit it, kind of check in, see where you are with your goals. We're going to be doing some breath work, will have open discussion, will be discussing manifestation and maybe some of the misconceptions around manifestation will also connect with our bodies, learn what it, yes, feels like in your body, what I know feels like in your body. So a little bit of everything and it'll be really fun. And that is on March 26 at Reiki shores, and that one's in person the somatic awareness and body based healing one. That one is virtual on zoom. And then the third class that I'll be teaching this month is at Yogashack. It is a breath work healing circle and I might incorporate some sounds healing in that too. So I'm going to see I have to check in with Michelle and Cindy they're the owners of the studio just to make sure that it's like cool that I kind of call an audible, but I'm thinking I might do half breath work and half sound healing. So that would be so fun, so cool. So definitely check that out. That's on Thursday, march 28, I believe.

Speaker 1:

So I wanted to build off of last week's episode about flower essence. I realize it's not something I've talked about before and I think it would be really fun to dive into, especially because we are moving into a new season and it's based all around the elements for five element theory, so would water, fire, earth, metal, and how you can incorporate it into your day to day life. You don't need to like work with a coach or anything to do this, and I'll just tell you, tell you all about it. So I thought it'd be fun to dive into that today. So that's what we will be chatting about.

Speaker 1:

So what is flower essence? So it comes in a little like tincture container and similar to essential oils. Instead of putting essential oils like it goes on the outside of your body, flower essence goes on the inside, so you ingest it. It's like a little dropper and you put anywhere from like four to 10 drops underneath your tongue and you'll take about four cycles of that each day. So maybe I'll take it like when you wake up for lunch one time in the afternoon and then before you go to sleep. I'm not like super rigid about how many times you take it a day. I don't think that that's important. I think you'll just fall into a cycle with the blend that you choose, and that is exactly right. So it is a liquid that you take internally, you ingest it, and the way that it's created is they take different flowers and they soak those flowers in water to extract the qualities of those flowers and then they make that into, they use that liquid and that's what they use to make a blend. So you can also get different flower essence, flower essences I guess that are not a blend, you could just get like one flower, but the kind that I enjoy taking is through in our element.

Speaker 1:

That's the book that I referenced in my last episode with Lindsay Faultleroy, and she has a whole line. It's called Spirit Seed and there are so many different blends that you can choose from. There's a quiz you can take to kind of see which one might match your intention. So that's what it is and how you take it, and there are so many different blends that you can take. I'll just speak to Lindsay Faultleroy's Spirit Seed line, because that's what my experience has been and that is exactly how I personally discovered flower essence.

Speaker 1:

So in the past I've done breath work sessions in the Salt Cave at Elemental Wellness, which is right by my house and outside in the front main lobby section of Elemental Wellness, they always had these little tinctures and I never really knew what they were. And then I went to, so I saw them there. And then a little while later I went to Europe and I was in London and I went to a yoga studio there and I saw the same tinctures and I was like, oh, this is funny, I never heard of what flower essence is, let me look into it. And so I looked into Spirit Seed, because that was the brand that I kept seeing, and I discovered Lindsay, and then I decided to try my first blend, and I think the first one that I did was Queendom, and this was a blend that was created through the Spirit Seed line and it's based around heart-centered leadership. So each blend has a different intention, and this one, the intention of it, was for gaining the confidence to make decisions, building heart-centered awareness and a perception of leading from the heart, writing and speaking with authenticity and stepping into position of leadership and influence from a heart-centered place. So this was a blend of four or five different flower essences that she put together to meet this intention. So that's how I discovered it, and when I discovered it. I ended up loving it so much that I signed up for a course and I took a course with Lindsay, where she was the teacher, and it was a nine-month course and I went through each of the elemental seasons, each of the flower essence blends, how to make your own blends, like what flower essence was, and I've just loved it so much and received so much from it that it's something I incorporate into my work today. So when I'm working with my 101 clients, if they're also interested in flower essence, we can incorporate it based on, like, what their intentions are during that season of their life.

Speaker 1:

And now that it is the spring solstice, when you're looking to take a new cycle of flower essence, you can always take it in sync with any kind of cycle, so you can take it in sync with the moon. You could take it in sync with your period cycle. You could take it in sync with the start and the end of one month. And for each blend that you take for each cycle, you'll want to take it each day, four times a day, for two weeks, but up to four weeks. So you really just want to use, like your personal judgment and like really listen to your intuition, with how you feel like it's affecting you, and you'll want to also journal throughout your experience.

Speaker 1:

So four things to take into account and be mindful of when you're taking a flower essence cycle is first and most importantly, of course, is setting your intention. So you want to be clear on what you're working with in that season and in that cycle of your life. And what's nice is that it is one month. So if you wanted to work on one thing first and then you wanted to change it and work on something the second month, that is perfectly fine.

Speaker 1:

And what's so powerful about intention is that it's putting like I always like to say, it's putting a pin on the map and you're driving the car. But if you don't have an intention, you're just kind of like you don't know how to get to that point on the map. You're just kind of like driving aimlessly. But when you set that intention, then you know exactly how to get there because you know where you're headed and so you can put, you know, gas in your car and maybe that's the flower essence. You can, you know, work with a therapist or a coach. Maybe those are like the wheels on the car. You can take a course. Maybe that's like rolling down the windows and making it like a more enjoyable experience, but you've set your intention so you know where you're headed when you're doing all of those things and that will help you to find value in the things that you are bringing into your life.

Speaker 1:

And the other thing to be mindful of and the reason why I enjoy flower essence so much is because it meets you where you're at. So there are so many different intentions you could have. There are so many different things that might be coming up for you, whether that's health, wealth, career, relationships, love, self-love it could be anything and it's going to meet you where you're at. And this kind of leads me into number three. But it's very gentle and very subtle. So I know I mentioned before that it's important to journal, but it's really really, really important to set your intention and notice the subtleties that are happening.

Speaker 1:

Flower essence is able to connect you with the earth. It's able to connect you with nature. With the flow of what nature and the earth or whichever elements of kind of nature that you connect with, it will be able to connect you with it that much stronger. So it's very gentle, it's very subtle and it's at your pace. And actually that was number four is that it connects you with nature and I guess this is number four is that it connects you with what's present for you right now. It's going to bring you into this moment, because having an intention for one month is so compact and nice and attainable and subtle, and it can take a whole month and just give it so much more intention.

Speaker 1:

So it can give you a start. It gives you a start point and it gives you an end point and that's something you can reflect on, which is really nice. So I just love it. It's gentle, it's subtle, it meets you where you're at. You craft your own intention and you get to work with the elements in a way that feels good for you. And then the last thing I'll mention it does kind of build off of the journaling is that you really want to take time to reflect. You want to be able to notice what's new, what's different, what might have emerged from your experience.

Speaker 1:

And how did you like taking this particular flower essence, we all have a different intention and being able to reflect on what you have received over the past month from something so gentle like flower essence is so nice. It can bring you more stability, more emotional resilience, self-awareness, reducing stress, balancing your energy, enhancing your focus, confidence, forgiveness, self-love, a deeper connection with source, maybe with your gifts. There are so many different intentions so again, I'll leave the there's like a little quiz that you can take to kind of see which blend might feel the best for you, based on like what your personal intention is. So I'll definitely leave that in the show notes for you and I'll also put in the show notes how you can purchase the different flower essence blends. I don't get like a kickback or anything for any of that, but I just want you to have all that info and let's see I'm just checking my notes here to see if there's anything else I wanted to go over.

Speaker 1:

I guess the last thing that I'll leave you with is the blend that I'm choosing to do for this cycle. So I'm going to take it in cycle with the spring solstice, so that means I will take it for one month, starting tomorrow, the 19th, and I'll take that for like four weeks and, just to repeat, you take a few drops, like four drops and you place them underneath your tongue and you'll do that four times throughout the day and you can do that for four weeks. But oftentimes you'll see probably around like week two You'll kind of like either forget about it or you'll just end up taking it like every once in a while, and that's okay because you can integrate for those last two weeks. It doesn't need to be something that you're taking like all day, every day, or it also can be. It just needs to be like Feeling true for you and in cycle with what you think you might need. So it's a lot of leaning on your intuition, listening to the subtleties and, of course, moving at at your pace and listening to your body. So I will share that.

Speaker 1:

For this cycle coming up, I will be taking the abundance blend through spirit seed and this is a blend that's part of wood season. So that's another thing too. You don't have to take a blend that's like aligned with the season. You can take, you know, fire when it's water season and vice versa. It doesn't, that doesn't matter. This one just happened to be aligned for me and happened to be wood seasons. So it's all about your purpose, passion, prosperity and Some of the intentions that it lists on its description is that it can help clear confusion, uncertainty or fear about next steps to take in your career or passion project.

Speaker 1:

It can help to break through procrastination. It can help to open you up to receive, to synchronosities, opportunities and your vision to manifest, and it can help to transform any negative beliefs around money, abundance and your value in the world. There are a bunch of other intentions that are listed here but I'm not going to read all of them. But I will be taking this starting tomorrow and I'm so excited to see, like, what it brings into my life. I will be journaling before I start and just really setting my personal intention and then I'll reflect in a month and kind Of see all of the the subtleties that came up and the shifts and I can't wait to share them with you.

Speaker 1:
