Episode 28

Debra Greenlaw Perry DeMello vanished in the spring of 1988 and her body was found on November 8th. She was thirty-five and a mother of three children. Debra’s body was the third of six women who were found alongside the highway in Southeastern Massachusetts. Sadly, a highway worker found Debra off Interstate 195 in Dartmouth (United Press International, 1988). Thirty-six years later, and the New Bedford Highway killer has never been found.

I had the honor and privilege of speaking to Wayne Perry, Debra’s brother about her disappearance. Now, as a warning, the audio in this podcast may be challenging at times to understand. Unfortunately, I encountered some technical difficulties during the recording of this episode, which affected the audio quality. After multiple attempts at editing this audio, I finally have a finished product, but it is not my usual standard. I took steps to ensure this would never happen again. Please try and stick with it because what Wayne has to say is heartfelt, chilling, emotional, and needs to be heard.
