Hey Pilgrims!
There was another video recording issue so this episode will only be available in audio form.
In this episode, I discuss the values of courage and vulnerability, the challenge of creating a work of art, and how being aware of death and disappearance allows us to be more present in the world.
Many times, courage is seen as plunging into a big, scary act like skydiving, or overcoming fear by going up to strangers and saying hello. However, ultimately the root of the word courage is cor - the Latin word for heart - making it much more subjective.
Therefore, another way to think about courage is to consider what is truly heartfelt.
For me, a practice I try to cultivate when I am unsure of what to do next, or how to go about making a decision, is to ask myself -
"What is the heartfelt step?"
This practice invites a more open and intimate ear to our inner voice, and helps us get in touch with what is truly important to us.
Hope you enjoy the episode!
