Law Training Centre

Welcome to the Law Training Centre Legal Navigator Podcast with your host Rebecca Ogunmayun.

In this week's episode of the Legal Navigator Podcast we were lucky enough to speak with Sharon Banga from Shoosmiths about her experience working in medical negligence.

Sharon has over a decade of experience working in the area and has represented clients in a range of high-profile cases. She spoke to us about her thoughts on the ethical considerations of medical negligence, her career advice to aspiring solicitors and what she thinks about the non-traditional pathways to legal qualification, including the SQE.

"I think the initial challenge that anyone will have working in this area is the vast amount of insight that you will have into a client's personal affairs. And that in itself is interesting, but it's also a responsibility because you have a responsibility to take that information in because that client is sharing that very personal information with you."
