Communication is a fundamental part of any interaction with patients and done well, has the potential to move a patient experience from satisfactory to excellent. In this first episode of the Johnson & Johnson Vision podcast, Dr Katharine Evans, Senior Lecturer at Cardiff University, hears from two patients about their experiences of becoming presbyopic and how this was addressed by their optometrist. Dr Evans is then joined by a fellow optometrist and practice owner, Faye McDearmid, who shares some fantastic tips on how to identify patients’ needs and effectively manage their expectations with personalised correction recommendations.
