Scottish Club Rugby

In this week's podcast - the only podcast to cover exclusively club rugby in Scotland - Stuart and Dale look ahead to Saturday's matches.

As always, we'd like to thank the following clubs for supporting the podcast - Hawick, Marr, Selkirk, Jedforest, Kelso, Glasgow Hawks, Ayr, Melrose, Gala, Peebles, Stirling County, Berwick and Stewart's-Melville.  You can hear from these clubs in every episode of the podcast throughout the season when they have matches.

In the Premiership this Saturday, second and third placed Currie and Marr lock horns at Malleny Park, while Edinburgh Accies play host to Kelso with both teams trying to get that fourth play-off spot. So are Heriot's Blues who are at home to Selkirk, while Musselburgh are also chasing for a place in the play-offs as they take on league leaders Hawick at Stoneyhill.

In National 1 Champions Ayr lost their unbeaten record last weekend so will be looking to bounce back to winning ways at Braidholm against GHA.  Other matches this Saturday at Dundee, Glasgow Accies, Highland and Watsonians are all discussed in the podcast.

In National 2 there's plenty of life left in the promotion race with Peebles, Falkirk, Lasswade and Newton Stewart all in with a shot of winning the league, while at the bottom end Aberdeen Grammar and Berwick are still fighting hard for points to take them away from the drop.

There's a full card in National 3 and 4 this Saturday with Orkney, Howe of Fife and Preston Lodge the main contenders for promotion in NL3 and unbeaten Garnock are well on course to become champions of NL4.

On Rugby Radio this weekend at www.rugbyradio.co.uk you can hear three and a half hours of live rugby direct from Raburn place, Edinburgh, with full commentary of the Premiership game between Edinburgh Accies and Kelso with second half commentary of Musselburgh v Hawick scheduled, plus live score updates from across the country. We are on air from 1.30pm to 5pm.
