Welcome everyone to yet another episode of ColivingDAO Insights. Great to have you here. This is your host, daniel, and I'm joined today, as usual, by my co-host, gareth, as well. Hi, gareth.

Gareth:

Hey Dan, I'm excited to get back into the mix. Do the next podcast episodes?

Daniel:

Great to be here as well, and today we're going to be something very, very important. We'll be talking about a little bit more in detail what the membership effectively that we have available here at ColivingDAO entails, because we've been getting a lot of requests as well as there's a lot of excitement about this upcoming launch. So if you've been watching this podcast, you've been listening to this podcast. This is a very important episode, so great to have you here as well for everyone who's listening. And, gareth, let's give everyone a little bit of a background so people might be new as well. So maybe someone is just coming here for the first time, so let's give everyone some background before we go more in detail on what effectively we are offering here at ColivingDAO.

Gareth:

Yeah, sure. So, as you said, dan, people have been reaching out and asking us about ColivingDAO and how they can get involved, and you know people are saying how do I get involved? What can I do to support the project? And so becoming a member through the premium membership program is one way for people to get involved and really support the ColivingDAO project in a big way, and so we're going to go into the details on how do you become a member ColivingDAO the n community in this way, using this particular avenue, and what benefits that might bring you by getting involved in this way.

Daniel:

Exactly, and if you've been wondering what ColivingDAO is all about or everything on that nature, feel free to check out the other episodes that we have prior to this one as well, or you can check out our website.

Daniel:

But what we'll do today we're going to go more in depth on how you can get involved, because if you do believe that the current system is not working and needs to be changed, if you do believe that the current property market effectively is based on dysfunctional relationships between the parties and the system is outdated and simply the traditional role of a landlord and a tenant and the traditional investor this is something that is no longer working very well anymore in today's society If you agree with all of that and you'd like to see a better way, then you definitely wouldn't listen to what we're about to say today. So you're in the right place at the right time and this is exactly how you can potentially get involved. I mean, as you will probably already know, here at ColivingDAO, we are revolutionizing the way people can relate to property, whether it is about investing, so people that want to invest in real estate as well as living as residents, living in the community. We spoke about this many, many times. The idea that the only way to live is a single family unit, isolated from the rest of the community, so to speak, is something that may or may not be for everyone. This is something that has been perpetrated for a relatively short period of time in the grand scheme of things, but a long time if we look at our current lifetime.

Daniel:

So if you agree that there is a different way and there is a better way, and if you like the idea of community living, but you just don't see the perfect way out there to do that in today's society, then this is definitely for you. So we are changing the dynamic, we're changing the rules of the game, and we're doing this by allowing investors, allowing residents, allowing community starters to really come together and make this a reality. So the first thing that we're doing when it comes to the benefits of becoming a member and, by the way, for anyone who's interested in getting involved, you can reach out. We'll tell you exactly how to do it. But let me tell you what this entails and what it means to become a member Now. The first thing that's going to happen the moment you are effectively a premium member of Co-Living. Now, first of all, this entails a priority application to become a resident in every Co-Living Community. That is part of the ColivingDAO ecosystem, and this alone is a pretty big thing, right, gareth?

Gareth:

Yeah, absolutely, because Co-Living is becoming more popular right, and as a place to live for residents it's becoming a new de facto way of living, a new way of community living.

Gareth:

But there are only a limited number of Co-Living's out there Co-Living Developments so new Co-Living Developments tend to be popular and some of them are oversubscribed, and so if you're not in quick enough, you might not actually be able to be a resident at a new co-living community if your application doesn't get in quickly enough. And so by becoming a co-living DAO premium membership holder, the first benefit, as you said, is you'll get priority resident application in all co-living DAO communities in the future as long as you hold that premium membership. And this is great because it means that if at some point in the future you wanna join a co-living DAO community, your application will be considered by that co-living community. It means you can get in. It doesn't guarantee you'll get in, but at least you get a shot at having your application reviewed, and this is really valuable in the context of a limited number of co-living communities out there right. It increases your odds of getting in.

Daniel:

Exactly. And this is interesting because, have you seen, gareth, recently there was a one more co-living community in London that just opened and they started an application process and there's people that have been applying to live there and sometimes this process might even take months and therefore it fits on a first come, first serve basis in terms of priority of application. Then, if you're not the first one to hear about a new community, or if you don't apply fast enough, you really risk being left out, and this happens all the time. I see so many new co-living spaces in London as well that are simply fully booked and a lot of people ask me how can I get into a co-living and do this and do that? And then it's just sometimes, if you're not fast enough, there's just no way to skip the queue. Now we co-living DAO, there is a way to skip the queue, and it's becoming a member by being a premium member. What's going to happen is, of course, you still have to go through the process. If you're not a good fit for that particular community, you're not guaranteed a spot. But what this means is that if you are a good fit, you're not going to be left out just because you were late because there will be people that are not premium members and they will not get priority.

Daniel:

So these alone is pretty important. And even if you look at traditional real estate just the ability to reserve a place to live, it's already valued quite a lot by our society. I see, for example, just normal realtor. So real estate agents sometimes just to reserve a place to rent a day, may charge a few hundred pounds, a few hundred dollars, euros, just to give someone the ability to say, okay, great, I like this place, I'm interested in renting this, let's take this off the market. So this is already valued quite a lot. Obviously, being part of a community can be considered something even bigger than that. So the ability to take a place off the market, get priority application as a resident is really a major, major factor.

Daniel:

The other thing that being a member would also entail is giving you the ability to get free or discounted access to amenities in the selectively living communities. What does this mean? Right now, if you wanna be pretty much in a new place let's say you wanna travel and you wanna go to a place you've never been to before you're on your own, you'll have a few ways to connect to local communities, but you're not necessarily already part of a community by being a Cleveland out member. The situation is entirely different. Imagine having this access pass that will get you the ability to immediately be part of a community.

Daniel:

So if there is a co-living space somewhere, no matter where it is in the world, you just show them that you're a member and you will get sometimes free access, sometimes discounted access to the amenities that are shared. So there might be some co-living spaces that have a co-working area, for example, or recreational area that can be open to guests or some external non-resident people that non-desert live there. When that happens, these areas may likely be available for members of the Coal Living Dile broader community as well. So that's a pretty cool right, gareth? Imagine traveling, going to a new place and immediately be part of a family. Isn't that kinda cool?

Gareth:

Yeah, it's great. And being part of that family, you know the ethos of the Coal Living Dile communities and so you know what to expect. If you're familiar with another Coal Living Dile community, it'll be a similar culture, similar ethos, and when you walk in and use those facilities you kinda know what to expect and you know what kind of people will be hanging out there. You might even be able to connect and meet new friends or create professional bonds, and that's really valuable. And don't forget that If you hold one of these co-living dial membership benefits, as long as you hold it, it's applicable forever, right? So if you buy a membership today, maybe you don't use it for five years, but you can use it five years in the future. As long as you're a holder, you can get access to all of these benefits forever.

Gareth:

And we'll go into a bit more detail later about the value of the membership as well, because the value of the membership will potentially go up over time and you could, if you chose not to use it, you could, for example, sell it on a secondary market. But we'll maybe cover that a bit more at the end. But yeah, as you said, so for the first two of the five benefits priority resident application and all co-living dial communities. And the second benefit is free or discounted access to amenities in the co-living dial community network, those co-living dial communities that are offering access to their amenities to non-residents. And that's pretty cool. So if you go from, say, london to New York kind of business trip and there are co-living dial communities there and you need somewhere really quick to get in and use it as a working space for the day, you could use your membership pass to go in and work there for the day and even maybe meet and socialize with like-minded people. So that's pretty cool.

Daniel:

Absolutely, and another big thing is getting priority access to investment opportunities in the co-living communities. Now at co-living dial, as you may or may not know, we're building a launch pad for co-living communities. What this means is that there will be opportunities for all investors out there to invest in new upcoming co-living communities all around the world. Now, these opportunities historically haven't been very easy to spot. Normally, if you haven't been in a network of investors or network of developers or co-living operators, you probably don't get these opportunities come across your desk quite often, and especially if you're looking for opportunities that have been pre-vetted and that have specific requirements, for example, esg. So this is a challenge that we're solving here at co-living dial by providing this launch pad, and this is something that all of a sudden becomes accessible to you, especially if you have a membership. Now can you invest if you don't have a membership? Yes, you can, but the difference is, how many times have you tried to invest in something and you were left out Because simply, there were no more spots available?

Daniel:

If you go to any launch pad in any market, you'll see that there's usually a limited supply and a cap to the total amount of investment that every project can take, and it's very, very common that that allocation is actually sold out very quickly. What this means is that if you don't have a priority access so if you don't have a membership what's going to happen is you'll again join the queue that everyone else is joining. You can skip the queue, so if there's enough members to cover for the investment, the total investment, this might not even ever go to the general public, and if it does go to the general public, there might be not much left, whereas if you're a premium member, what's going to happen is, again, you'll get priority, so you will have a much higher chance to be able to invest the amount that you want to invest at a very early stage as well, and usually, as many investors know, it could pay off to be early. So, gareth, this is a big thing, pretty much right. Yeah, this is huge.

Gareth:

And just as a reminder for some of the listeners that maybe haven't been following all of our podcast episodes CoLivingDAL is a launchpad for CoLiving communities and Therefore it's going to be a federation of co-living communities. It's more than one community and so this priority access benefit to investment opportunities in all of those co-living DAL communities applies right. So every time a new co-living DAL community opens, by being a premium membership holder, you will have access to invest in each one of those new co-living communities, because the way the federation works is that each one of those co-living communities will be its own company and it will issue its own shares in the form of tokenized shares, and so by holding this premium membership, it's not just one investment opportunity, it's multiple investment opportunities going into the future, and that's pretty cool. For a single benefit right, a single membership benefit, you have future access to multiple investment opportunities in a federation.

Daniel:

Yes, and, speaking of investment opportunities, the membership also gives you the ability to be whitelisted for the co-living DAL tokenized shares pre-sale. And this is huge as well because, as you know, it's usually a big challenge to be able to join a pre-sale, to be an early investor in a company, in a project, and normally without having specific ties with a particular project. What normally happens is you probably won't be able to get an allocation at early stage, or maybe you can, but it's going to be smaller. You're going to be very fast and very quick and maybe you miss that particular timeframe and it's just going to be left out.

Daniel:

And I hear that over and over A lot of investors that I know. They try to get into these pre-sales and then they just miss out, and then they look at what they could have done but they haven't and they regret that and then they try to do it differently next time, but it's still a challenge very often, and so on and so forth. So this is a big opportunity because, effectively, right now, the reason opportunity that is going to become very, very soon, and being a member will give you the ability not to miss out on this opportunity, right? Gareth?

Gareth:

Yeah, exactly, and just to paint the picture again of that federation. So there will be multiple Co-living DAO communities in the future in a federation and whitelisting for the Co-living DAO tokenized shares is in the parent company, if you will, or the enabler company as we call it, and all of the Co-living DAO communities will be connected to us as the Co-living DAO enabler company. So by being a premium membership holder, you can also get whitelisted to purchase tokenized shares in Co-living DAO as the enabler company of the entire federation. So not only can you be an investor in Co-living DAO, you can be an investor in each Co-living DAO Co-living community individually as well. So again, you get more than one opportunity to invest here. And if you invest in the enabler and a Co-living DAO community, you're an investor across the whole landscape of the Co-living DAO investment opportunity, which is amazing. It could amplify your returns in the event that the federation is doing really well and growing. You can get a really good potentially a really good payback on being involved, and holding this membership gives you access to that.

Daniel:

Yes, and what's interesting, just like you hinted at, effectively the enabler company, co-livingdow, will also hold shares in all the Co-Living communities as well. So if you're not an investor in individual Co-Living communities, but you are an investor in Co-LivingDow, you're also getting indirect exposure to the upside potential of the individual communities as well, as well as the power of the technology underlying what Co-LivingDow offers. So, if nothing else, if you're not investing in any of the individual Co-Living communities, being a Co-LivingDow investor is definitely a massive, massive opportunity. And the other thing I mean there's a lot more. We want to be able to cover everything because there's so many more benefits. Some of them will be revealed as a surprise later on. Some of them maybe not on the map just yet, but we will come up with more and more utility for this utility membership and certainly there'll be exclusive access to dedicated groups channels, there'll be community events all the open to members, and there's going to be additional perks as well. So the landscape is pretty attractive, right? Gareth?

Gareth:

Yeah, absolutely so. Being a utility token holder or a premium membership holder, they're both interchangeable, right? It gives you access to all those future dedicated groups and channels, community events, any additional perks that result. As the Co-LivingDow Federation starts to build itself and scale up, you'll have access to more and more of these kinds of benefits. So imagine, for example, again, if we take that business trip. You're going from London to New York on a business trip. You need a desk to work at. Maybe you actually get access to a social event like a big party that's going on in the Co-LivingDow community in New York. So you work there for the whole day and then your pass also gives you access to a big social event, a social party where the New York Co-LivingDow is holding a celebration for something the community's achieved and you get invited along to join that. You're part of the families who said before and those benefits will continually develop and expand in the future as the Federation grows.

Daniel:

Yes, and what I'm thinking right now is to look, if you're a region, if you want to see a change in the world, you know they're saying, be the change you want to see in the world right?

Daniel:

So it's all about taking action.

Daniel:

It's all about being consistent between your actions, your thoughts, your values, your feelings.

Daniel:

So this is an opportunity right there For everyone who wants to see a shift in our society a fairer society, more equitable society, a society where there are more opportunities and better relationships between people, better connections, better alignment of incentives, values, better relations between landlords, tenants, being them resident or Co-Living communities, co-living operators, investors, and so on and so forth.

Daniel:

So if you care about the environment, if you care about ESG, if you do care about regeneration and more freedom in the world whether it's freedom in a traditional financial sense, or freedom in terms of moving around, mobility, traveling and so on, or freedom to be yourself without the limitations that you may be experiencing in the world right now then you definitely want to be getting involved, because this is something that has the potential to revolution, ize the future. So, just to recap, what the membership entails is the priority resident application in all the Co-Living communities, as well as free or discounted access to amenities in selected Co-Living communities, priority access to investment opportunities in all the Co-Living communities, as well as the white listing for the Co-Living DAO, tokenized years, pre-sale, and there's a lot more so exclusive access, dedicated groups, channels, community events and additional perks as well, and potentially a lot more. So, gareth, any final words for anyone who may be on the fence deciding if they want to reach out and potentially get involved.

Gareth:

Yeah, I think you said it really nicely and you know those five benefits are tangible sort of practical benefits, right, but perhaps the biggest benefit of all is actually that by becoming a premium membership holder in Co-living Dal, you're placing a bet on the future to change society right, and we're not doing this in a superficial way. Co-living Dal, as you said, really, truly takes care of people, planet and profit at a very deep level and enables regeneration, equity, fairness, protection for environmental sustainability in the Co-living communities and in the surrounds. So really, what you're doing by becoming a premium membership holder is you're backing a future vision of a better world than the one that we currently live in, and one that is, you know, truly better on multiple dimensions. So if you want to see an alternate future become a reality, become a Co-living Dal membership premium membership holder and you won't regret it. I guarantee you. You will not regret becoming a premium membership holder in the Co-living Dal project because it will literally change the future world that we live in.

Daniel:

Very well said. At the end of the day, what truly matters is that you're aligned with the vision, and being part of Co-living Dal is showing and improving to you and everyone else that you're in alignment with this vision and these are your values. Because, yes, we have ensured that this token, this membership, is packed with utility, but, at the same time, what you're really doing is you're communicating to everyone else that, yes, this is what you stand for.
