Lara Atwood is a dedicated researcher and practitioner of the indigenous Indo-European religion of her ancestors, which is a branch of the ancient Religion of the Sun. She authored the book 'The Ancient Religion of the Sun' and manages the YouTube channel SakroSawel and the website sakrosawel.com ("sakro sawel" meaning "sacred sun" in Proto-Indo European). Her husband, Mark Atwood, is also an author and practitioner of his indigenous religious tradition, which is rooted in the same ancient Religion of the Sun. With decades of metaphysical practice and experience, Mark's lineage includes some of the first settlers of Britain—curly-haired people who spoke an ancient language related to Basque and contributed to building ancient sun-aligned megalithic sites. He also descends from Indo-Europeans who migrated to the British Isles over 4,500 years ago, practicing an ancient form of sun worship. Mark lives in seclusion, focusing on his spiritual journey, and continues to write. Together, Lara and Mark are deeply committed to their spiritual paths and the revival of ancient traditions.
