Raquel Quinet:

present your challenges. This is where your coach can really unlock so many things for you and your business. when you can give your coach your challenges, it can help you solve things quickly. just by presenting them. Let's say you've tried something and it didn't work. Tell your coach, be honest with them because you may not have to pivot a whole new strategy. It might just be an extra step that you're missing Welcome to the Raquel show. This show is for entrepreneurs who want to play bigger in business and in life. And I just love the fact that you are part of this community. I love seeing your messages. I want to say thank you for listening. Thank you for your reviews and thank you for your shares because you know, it means the world to us and it helps other people discover the show. So thank you so much for being a part of our community. And if it's your first time, Welcome to our podcast. You know, I just hired a coach to help us with some of our funnels, some of our operations. I've never had a funnel. I've never run an ad. All of our business growth has come organically and I have knowledge about funnels. I have reviewed funnels. other people's funnels. I have friends that have amazing funnels. And for crying out loud, I have bought from funnels. And so I hired a coach to get some things set up in our business that will work in the background for us. And to be honest, I wanted a quicker path. And if you know me, I'm a big believer in coaches and mentors. If there's one thing that I will always invest in, it is coaches and mentors in our business. so one of our private clients we recently took on asked me, Raquel, how do I get the most out of my coaching session and what a perfect topic to dive into? Because if you're looking to grow and you have already made the decision to invest, to bet on yourself, why not take full advantage of it? And after coaching thousands of people and thousands of coaching sessions, the ones that get the most results Have a few things in common. Do you want to know what they are? Well, in today's episode, I want to dive into how to get the most out of your coaching sessions. You see, whether you're new to coaching or you've had several coaches in your life, these tips will help you get the most out of your coaching sessions and accelerate your growth and progress. So let's get started. Let's get started. Number one is preparation is key to a successful coaching session. You got to show up prepared. This includes being able to discuss what you've accomplished since your last coaching session and what you have learned. Number two is show up with questions, show up with topics that you want to discuss because your coach can't read your mind. where you're getting blocked or where you're getting stuck or where you might need help. So having questions can help clarify the situations. And sometimes you may just need clarity to get to the next step. Number three is present your ideas. Remember, you hired a coach to help you grow, to give you advice on your business. And they're there because they want to see you win. And so when you present your ideas. Coaches have the experience to let you know what can happen with your idea, what could go wrong with your ideas, or to look at it from a different perspective. And when you have a coach who has a roster of top agents and entrepreneurs all over the country, you can get really powerful insights on what's out there for you. actually working in today's market. And I'm going to say, and I might get some slack for this, but be careful of coaches who are calling themselves coaches after very little experience. They may teach you one thing, but when you get stuck, it may be hard for them to navigate because they have limited experience with what they're teaching you or let alone in business. You want a coach that has seen it all. You want a coach that has the experience to back it up. You want a coach that can expose you to different models because what could have worked for them might've been a different market. So keep presenting your ideas because it keeps your coaching sessions fresh and you'll get to see and hear your coaches real insight. Number four, and this one. is a big one. And it's one of my favorite with my coaches is present your challenges. This is where your coach can really unlock so many things for you and your business. when you can give your coach your challenges, it can help you solve things quickly. just by presenting them. Let's say you've tried something and it didn't work. Tell your coach, be honest with them because you may not have to pivot a whole new strategy. It might just be an extra step that you're missing. And number five is. is time block 30 minutes before and after your coaching session. Treat your coaching sessions as if it's a board meeting, as if it's the most important meeting of your week. You're not only investing your money, you're also investing your time. So you might as well prep 30 minutes before to get really clear of what you want. Some of you know that I've had amazing coaches and I still have coaches today that I think are so amazing, and I have had coaches where I have begged to be on their wait list. And so, you know, anytime I had minutes with particular coaches, I would just rapid fire my ideas. I would rapid fire my challenges, and some of the time we would have to park it. Because we had so much to cover, but guess what? We never ran out of things to solve. And the next thing you want to do after your coaching session is you want to block 30 minutes after. This is where you get into implementation and execution mode. You see high level performers. Know that they like to learn, but they love to execute way more. And so after your call with your coach, while it's fresh in your head, see what you can execute on. See what you can delegate. I can tell you, my clients that do this consistently, see results so quickly. They absorb and they deliver. and then they start delegating or they go into massive work mode because they don't want a week or two weeks to go by without accomplishing anything. And for me, this has been a game changer to how I'm able to get some of our things done. Now, I can tell you when you have something that you're learning new, like for us, it's YouTube, right? It might take you a while because it's uncomfortable. You haven't learned it yet. So, So I would suggest when you're learning something new or when things are a little bit uncomfortable, block more time. And number six is you've got to take ownership of the results. Be coachable and get better with every call. That's the mentality you want to have. Reflect on your progress as this will help you identify some of your patterns, where you are lying, where you are giving into your excuses, where things are blocking. So I think it's important to reflect on all the time What worked, what didn't work, and how do I adjust? You see, awareness is the key to growth. Be open to feedback, embrace it, and just be willing to learn. you want to make sure you take notes on the call because you may forget some things. Remember your coaching call. doesn't end when the call does. So just a quick little recap, the six things you can do to get the most out of your coaching sessions with your coach is number one, show up prepared. Number two, show up with questions and topics you want to discuss. Number three is present your ideas. Number four is present your challenges. Number five is you want to time block 30 minutes before and after your session. And last but not least, you want to take ownership. You want to be coachable and get better with every call. Remember having a coach. can really fast track your growth. You want to take advantage of your coaching sessions. You are here to be the best version of you.
