Speaker 1:

Hey guys, welcome back to Updated AF Collective, the podcast. I am your host, megan Wirth. First off, thank you so much for returning all of my repeat listeners. I see you guys out there on my analytics. Thank you, guys, so so much. And to the new listeners, thank you for listening and tuning in. It means a lot to me and it says a lot about yourself, because you're out there looking for podcasts that are based on self-development and stretching yourself out of comfort zones and just trying to improve your life better yourself, better your life, better the world around you and you've landed on a good episode.

Speaker 1:

So this episode is with my good friend, stephanie Keith. She is the podcast host of the Law of Attraction Tribe. We've had her on the podcast prior. She was in one of the earlier episodes of Updated AF and we decided to do a dual episode to where I can interview her, she can interview me, kind of thing back and forth. And if you don't know who Stephanie Keith is, let me fill you in. So Stephanie Keith is the founder of the Law of Attraction Tribe, host of the Law of Attraction Tribe podcast, creator of the Manifest it Now app that I personally actually listen to every morning and every night because of the subliminals and the hypnosis and everything that comes on. That app is absolutely amazing. She's also a bestselling author of trust the universe Great book.

Speaker 1:

After more than a decade in the corporate world, stephanie broke free from the nine to five grind to create a life filled with purpose, freedom and abundance. She now empowers others to do the same. Her passion is teaching people how to manifest a life they don't need a vacation from, and that's how I found her was through her podcast, and I was like how do I do this? How do I manifest a life that I don't want a vacation from, that I am not looking forward to my weekend, to where I get two free days of freedom and then going back to work and being absolutely miserable, just to live week to week, paycheck to paycheck, kind of thing. So when I discovered her podcast, it definitely motivated me to go into the direction that I've always wanted to go and stress myself out of my comfort zone.

Speaker 1:

I ended up taking one of her courses, one of her masterminds, called the Millionaires Mastermind. It was amazing and the best part about that mastermind is I still talk to all the girls that were in my course with me today. We just had a virtual happy hour. We still have a group chat, we still talk to each other, we motivate each other and I feel like I have a virtual village. And again, we've talked about virtual villages on the podcast before and how amazing they can be, especially if you're one of those girls that is out there wanting some sort of a tribe or a village or anything.

Speaker 1:

You don't have to be isolated anymore. That's what the internet's for, that's what Zoom is for, facetime, all that stuff. And the best thing about taking a mastermind is you do get a return in investment, because what I've learned from taking not just Stephanie's courses but any type of course out there, I feel like I've always gotten a return on investment when it, especially when it comes to my, my business Right. And Stephanie has a variety of different courses. You don't just have to take Millionaire's Mastermind course. She has a podcasting course that is brand new. And if you've ever thought about starting a podcast but you don't know where to start, you don't know what action steps to take, you don't know what platforms to use, you don't know what the equipment you should be using or how to advertise or brand yourself with your podcast, take her course, I swear to you you will get a return on investment when it comes to taking a course from her, because she knows what she's doing. She's been doing this for a very long time. She has been teaching courses. She has been mentoring, especially me. She has been doing this mentoring thing a long time.

Speaker 1:

So please sit back, enjoy today's episode. Like I said, you are going to love it. You are going to want to bookmark this episode. If you are looking for any sort of motivation or a friendly kick in the pants to motivate you to get up and just start going after the life that you've always wanted, well, this podcast episode is for you. Speaker 2:

Hey everyone, welcome back to the podcast. So we're kind of doing a double podcast today. I'm so excited. I have my friend Megan, that was in my mastermind, and we talk all the time online. But I'm like we need to have a whole conversation because I feel like so many things have happened in your life and I'm like trying to keep up on social media because you're doing like everything and you're doing it all very well. And so, first of all, I just have to put a little plug in for the Updated AF Collective. That is your podcast. It is in for the updated AF collective. That is your podcast.

Speaker 2:

And when I need that motivation, like that kick in the butt, like just feeling really good and positive energy, this is my go-to. And I think I messaged you the other day. I was like just in a horrible mood. I was just like having a pity party and just in my head. And I went out by the pool and I was just walking around and I listened to your episode where you're talking about like the rope that's like my favorite story, the rope story and I was like what am I doing? Like if this girl who's like you're so petite and you're like you look like a supermodel. And if you could go and be a Marine and a police officer and now like a mega you know realtor that's gonna be the next freaking HGTV star then I can like stop being you know all down about like a negative comment online and it really like it totally changed my view. So everyone needs to follow Up AF collective and listen to it in the morning and you'll be good to go.

Speaker 1:

I appreciate you, girl.

Speaker 1:

Wow, that's like, as you were saying that, it was like I was having chills at my arms and it was crazy because, like that was the whole point of the podcast and because of you it is, it is manifested and I've been getting a lot of like positive feedback.

Speaker 1:

My whole goal behind the podcast was because, before I even knew you, I was listening to your podcast and I was following you on social media and you were my inspiration and I wanted to do that for other women and bring women together in some sort of like virtual community, because a lot of us, for example, like when I together in some sort of like virtual community, because a lot of us, for example, like when I was in law enforcement, I felt like I didn't have a community.

Speaker 1:

I isolated myself because I was depressed and I hated the direction that my life was going in. So I felt like listening to you kind of gave me that virtual community and brought me, you know, connected me with your guests and your. You know, when you would go on other podcasts and stuff like that, sue, I would follow all those guests that you had on your podcast and you know, next thing, I know I was like listening to them and I had this virtual community of people and I wanted to do the same thing for other people, other other, especially women. I wanted to do the same thing for other people, other other, especially women.

Speaker 2:

Well, you are definitely the type of person that just goes for it and you just take action. And I really I want to talk about that, because one of the things that I'm seeing in you know, getting messages from people and like in my courses and all that kind of thing is not a lot of people are like that. Right, there's a lot of fear that gets in the way, a lot of limiting beliefs, a lot of excuses like well, it's not a good time, I can't do this, I'm scared, I don't know how. And I always use you as an example because I think about how, like you've kind of reinvented yourself multiple times. I mean, you were, you know, going to be a police officer and then you decided to just like join the Marines.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, because I couldn't. I couldn't be a cop. I was absolutely devastated. I put myself through the police academy when I was 20, thinking that a department would want to pick me up because, like, hey, I'm already trained, you don't have to pay for my training. And I went around to multiple police departments in Northern California and they all said the same thing. They're like you're so young, you have no life experience. So I was like they want life experience, I'll give them life experience. So the next day I joined the Marine Corps.

Speaker 1:

So I always find a door that I can pry open if the door is shut, locked, closed or what's the saying? Like make your own way? Yeah, like, course, the door open. And that's exactly what I do. It's always been my personality, but I didn't come from like a life that I was like nurtured as a child or anything. I grew up independent and I grew up having to find ways on my own. So all I know is independence and all I know is trying to like make my own way, create my own path. So, and if I screw up that path, I'll figure it out at the end of it. So I think that's why I'm not afraid to just go after what I want. Because even even in my head I was like well, if I fuck up my life, I'll figure it out, and I'll divert or I'll pivot, and then I'll figure it out. You know, as I go.

Speaker 2:

Well, that's the thing. It's like you're not afraid of failure because you know at any point in time you can just choose something else and you have like you, you're, you know fairly. You're pretty young, I think. I don't know your exact age, but you pivoted so many times and I'm like, I'm older than you, girl.

Speaker 1:

No way, I think you're like 22.

Speaker 1:

I know you're not 22, but you look like you're 22. It's the Botox, but no, I think. And with age comes, like you know, you lose the fear of failure because you realize like, no, I mean I'm going to do whatever I want to do in order to make the life that I want to create and to live my best life, and I'm just going to do it. And if I screw it up, then I screw it up, but I can always go back. I can't always keep going forward. I'm one of those people that, like, once I make a decision it's done, and I think a lot of people live their life and where they, they get stuck in the fear of failure that they don't make a decision at all and it drives me crazy because you know, for example, when I work in real estate, I have those rare clients that are even too afraid to pull the trigger on a house because it doesn't want to be.

Speaker 1:

They don't want to choose the wrong house. So here we are going, six months later, and they still haven't picked a house because they're afraid that they're going to choose the wrong house. But it reflects in their personal lives as well. Just make a decision.

Speaker 2:

And I think people have that fear with manifesting Like they're. They're so caught up in like well, it has to be the perfect goal. What if I manifest the wrong thing? I'm like well, you're always manifesting. Then you just manifest again and again, and again and again. And I think that's the message that I love is like you could go towards something and you could like it for a little bit, or you could fall flat on your face and then guess what? You can pivot and go towards something else, and then you can go towards something else, and that's the thing.

Speaker 2:

It's like you blew me away, because here it's like this petite, like pretty. I mean, you look like you've been nurtured your whole life. You're absolutely gorgeous, and everyone should follow your Instagram, by the way, for style advice. Oh, my gosh, I need you to come and like buy clothes for me, because you have the best style. Um, but yeah, you, you see, you see you, and.

Speaker 2:

And then to hear like your story, and so then you like went into the Marines and then you were a police officer and a single mom, by the way and then you moved to another state and you completely shifted careers and became a realtor Very successful at that and it's just like I was just blown away just by that. But then in the mastermind I got to see it unfolds and what happened? I will like I will never forget. I think about this all the time. You have no idea, like, how much you've impacted my mindset. I think about it all the time.

Speaker 2:

We were like having one of our calls where we were all just like emotional and just you know, and you were like I'm going to write a book, I'm going to write a book, I'm going to start writing a book. And you just decided there was no like hey, I think I should write a book. Or like, oh, I think you were just like I am going to write a book and I've never seen anything like it. And you did that's the thing. Like you followed through and it was hard. It was, it was very emotional.

Speaker 1:

I'm only halfway through and it's it's been. The hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life was to write this book. And it's hard, so much I know. And it's you know it's shifted. I've shifted gears on the book a couple of times. I thought, you know, I'd start off with my childhood and go into the military and then go into law enforcement. But now the book is kind of just it's turned into just the last 10 years of being a cop, because I didn't want to overwhelm my readers with a bunch of trauma and so. But I do want to inspire them to kind of go after what they want.

Speaker 1:

And it doesn't matter if you come from a lifetime of trauma or whatever you. You have the ability to shift anytime and to go into a different career If your values and your career paths, everything is just shifting and you can realign if that makes sense. Like I grew up wanting to be a police officer from the time I was three and I did 10 years of it and I you know if you would have asked me my my first year of law enforcement like, do you see yourself retiring? I said absolutely, I can do 25 years of being a cop. But after 10, I was like sitting in my patrol car, absolutely depressed, just not wanting this job anymore, and I was like, but I didn't know what I wanted to do. Well, you'll figure it out.

Speaker 1:

And when that little burst of motivation came to my head, I was like I want to be an entrepreneur. I just threw myself into it not knowing a single thing about real estate, not knowing a thing about clients, lead generation, any of that. But you know what? I threw myself into it and I love the saying just leap and your wings will appear, because that couldn't be more true. And my path appeared before me. I just took the first step and then I took another step and I took another step. And it's just like a staircase the steps will always be there. They're going to appear. Just keep going.

Speaker 2:

You can't give up, absolutely not, yeah, you can't really think about it. I think that's the thing. People like to have a plan. People like to have all the steps laid out. But that's really not how it happens. You have to take the step and then the next step will reveal itself, and it is a lot of faith, a lot of believing in yourself, a lot of having confidence.

Speaker 1:

It is blind faith. It is absolutely blind faith. And, like you just said, you can't try to control the outcome of things. You can't try to figure out the how. I love the saying. The how is none of your business. I live by that. If I want something, I just take the steps to get it. But in my head it can come to me any way it wants, it can appear to me any way it wants. I don't care how it happens.

Speaker 1:

I used to write in my journal when I was still a police officer I'm going to be a successful Texas real estate agent. Before I even had my real estate license, be a successful Texas real estate agent. Before I even had my real estate license, before I even moved to the state of Texas, not knowing a single person in Texas, I kept writing it out. I would literally write it out page after page after page I am a successful Texas real estate license. And then I took the step I sold my house in San Diego, I quit my job and I moved to Texas. And guess what? It literally happened and you had people telling you it wouldn't right Because you didn't know anyone.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but you did it anyways, despite what anyone said, you did it anyways. And I actually I'm gonna have my daughter listen to this episode because I was talking about you with her this week because she's only 14, but already in school. They're pushing like college, college, college. And I was like, listen, you want to go to college, go to college. I'm not going to push you one way or another, but going without a plan and just getting a generic degree is you're basically spending $100,000 to get a $50,000 a year, nine to five job. So go with an intention, figure out what you're passionate about and if what you're passionate about requires a degree, then do that Right. So we've been having this conversation and so we go to Naples over like every year we do this trip and we go there and I, starting last year, I took her and I started going down like all the billionaire homes and just showing. I just wanted to put her in that environment.

Speaker 2:

And I was like pick out your dream home. What's your dream home? And this could be yours someday. Just start visualizing it, start being in this energy kind of thing. So we were doing that and on Fifth Avenue, which is like the ritzy, super nice part of town, there's like this Sotheby's real estate. She's like what's that? And I was like, oh, that's like the realtors that sell these homes. And she was like, well, maybe I should do that. And I was like, oh my gosh, I have a story for you. And I told her your story. I was like she went to a different state where she didn't know anyone and she just went for it. And I was like, and I am telling you and I'm going to say it right now and I'm going to save this podcast.

Speaker 2:

Obviously you're going to be the next freaking HGTV star. I swear like I know, like you're laughing. I can see it Like. Every time I see a post of yours, I'm like, okay, every time I see a post of yours, I'm like, okay, what's Megan doing now? And it's like something exciting. And I saw you bought. Did you buy like a fixer upper?

Speaker 1:

right, I've been looking at them. Girl, I am looking at getting into house flipping Right now. The numbers don't make sense with the market. But you know what, Like I am doing the work, I'm putting myself in these homes and I'm touring them anyway because I want to show the universe like, hey, I'm ready when you are so you were putting myself into this fixer upper home so that I can like manifest the perfect one, that the numbers are going to make sense and I'm going to make a profit off of it.

Speaker 1:

But you have to keep going. You can't be one of those people that just sits in the house and be like I hope that there's a good deal out there for me somewhere. No, you have to go, get your ass up. Go out there and show the universe you're ready, because the path will eventually appear.

Speaker 2:

Put yourself in the scenario, acting as if, and that's that is the thing. It was totally acting as if because you know you're videoing it and I watched that video and I was like I feel like I'm watching HGTV, but this is like the best episode I've ever seen, cause you have that personality, you have the look, you have like the charisma, and I was like, right there I saw that. I think I messaged you right as I saw that and I was like you're going to be the next HGTV star.

Speaker 2:

Like I'm calling it, I'm calling it the next Joanna Gaines here.

Speaker 1:

Watch out, I I'm calling it the next Joanna Gaines here. Watch out, I want to be a house slipper. I love the creativity behind it and although it hasn't happened yet, that's okay, cause I know it's going to happen If I. I mean, I have friends that are into it and they're really good at it, and I was like you know what, if they're good at it, I can be good at it too. That's my, that's my Elle Woods moment.

Speaker 1:

Every time I see somebody doing something that looks super duper hard, you know, I'm like I always have my like, always say in my head like what? Like it's hard. If they can do it, I can do it. If it exists, then I can have it too. I can have that billion dollar house Not really not a billion dollar house, I don't even want a billion dollar house, but I can have the million dollar house. I can have the million dollar house. I can have the life that I want, because if I can see it, then it already exists, then I can. I can have that too. And that's the mentality is like for your daughter, like anything that she can visually see and the fact that you're taking her and putting her on those streets and you're putting her in those, uh, those rooms and in that position, if she can see it, she can have it plain and simple.

Speaker 2:

Those rooms in that position. If she can see it, she can have it. Plain and simple. Yeah, and it's.

Speaker 2:

It's interesting because what happens a lot of times is people will start seeing things that align with their dreams, but jealousy comes in. Well, why do they have it but not me? Why, you know, don't look at it that way. The way that I look at it and the way you're looking at it from what you just said, is that the universe is purposely putting that in front of your face not to make you jealous, to show you what's possible. So you see that girl that is doing the thing you want to do and you say, well, she can do it, I can do it too. And, like you said, what it's hard I mean look at how many hard things you've done in your life Like we can do hard things. But it all boils down to again deciding, just like you did, like I'm going to write a book, you just decided and that's what it is. It's not like, oh, I hope or I wish, it's like I'm going to do this and I can do this and I am doing it. That's the mindset to have, you know.

Speaker 1:

And jealousy is just fear. So anybody out there listening right now and you're like, oh my gosh, like you just feel jealousy because you see that successful person, whether you know them or not, whether you're following them on Instagram or you have a friend that's doing what you wanna do, but you feel jealous it's just because you're afraid. You're afraid that you can't reach that potential. You can't reach the level of success that they have. But you can Use jealousy as motivation to say, hey, if they can do it, I can do it. I feel like it's just an ego thing. It's just something that your ego is saying like, no, let's keep you safe, let's keep you in your nine to five job because the income is good or decent and your paychecks are predictable and you get healthcare. No, if you want to do something, just do it and stop. Stop looking at other people as, like you know, like the imposter syndrome thing, like oh, I'm not good enough, I can't have that success that they have Right.

Speaker 2:

Exactly, you have to just take action, like action is going to overcome the fear, and sometimes the action is simply just putting yourself in a scenario. It's not like you have to go immediately like purchase this house, put yourself in this scenario and that's why, like I, I love your account, cause I I should have been a realtor, because I love going in like houses, like it's just so motivating. That's my thing, you know. I tell my clients like jokingly.

Speaker 1:

You know they're like, why don't you? You got out of law enforcement to show houses and I was like, yeah, I love houses, they're so pretty, and then I always make the joke. Plus, I get to enter homes without a warrant and then we all laugh some laughs and don't, but it's so fun because I love. I love when people just are so creative with their houses and the aesthetics and the way they stage and and you know, back splashes and shaker cabinets and stuff like that. I just I I could appreciate really beautiful houses and, don't get me wrong, I appreciate the fixer uppers too, because I can go in there and I can just see the vision and I can see the potential of the house. And you made a comment that I want to. I want to just backtrack for a second. It's just for anybody who was like me at one point that felt stuck, that like, okay, you guys mentioned taking action steps. Like taking actions like what the hell does it mean? Like what action steps should I be taking? If you are one of those people that feel stuck or don't know your next move, the first thing that you should probably be thinking of is like yes, if you have a social media influencer that is doing what you want to do, or you have a friend that's doing what you want to do and they're already successful at it. Contact them, dm them, ask them. Hey, like I've been following you for a while and I really can see myself doing what you're doing, would you mentor me? Would you mind taking me to your next networking event? Would you mind? You know, can you coach me and then offer them maybe some monetary value or switch services you know what's it called. Like the service, like I'll if I was a hairdresser, I'll do your hair If you teach me how to do ABC, kind of thing. Like there's so many ways to get into those rooms. That's what you need to do.

Speaker 1:

When I threw myself into real estate again, I didn't know any real estate agents here in Texas. I didn't know anybody at all, I didn't have any clients or whatever. But the one thing I did is I put myself in rooms with very successful real estate agents. I got on different networking apps like Eventbrite is the best one, I feel like, and I would just look up free events for realtors and I just networked my ass off and I asked questions. I showed up at meetings that I wasn't even invited to. There was a top producer meeting here in San Antonio. No, I wasn't a top producer. I was like 2 months into my real estate career I don't think I even sold anything. But you know what? I showed up to the meeting. Not a single person knew who I was. One guy asked he was like are you a new agent? Kind of thing. And I was like I am. And he was like good for you. And that was it. And then I just listened to these top producers just talk and I took mental notes and then when I got to my car I took all the notes on my journal, on my paper.

Speaker 1:

But you have to get yourself in those rooms. That is the best action step you can take. It doesn't matter what career you want to get into. It doesn't matter what you want to do. It doesn't even have to be a career, it can be. I want to manifest a relationship. We'll find a couple that you want to. You kind of want that life. You know I have a best friend and her and her husband are goals and I ask her all the relationship advice Don't ever ask for advice from anybody that you wouldn't want to be, and I'm telling you the best thing you can do for your first action step is just to get in a room of successful people doing what you already are doing, what you want to do, that are already doing it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and don't be intimidated, because the best thing you could possibly do is be like the quote, like the dumbest person in the room, like, not to say anyone's dumb, but like you want to be with people that are at the next level, because that's how you Absolutely and if you have nothing to contribute to those conversations, like, for example, when I snuck into a top producer meeting.

Speaker 1:

I had nothing, nothing to contribute. I just kept my mouth shut, nothing to contribute.

Speaker 2:

I just kept my mouth shut, that was it.

Speaker 1:

And that's all you can do. Now I feel like I can walk into any room and I can talk to anybody. You know what I'm talking about. I have some value to add. But if you don't have any value to add, just keep your mouth shut and just learn and observe it and just absorb the information and network your ass off, come prepared to introduce yourself and then that's it.

Speaker 2:

Well, and speaking of networking, you just went to a podcast event, right, I did.

Speaker 1:

Because I okay. Because, again going back to when I took your mastermind course, I didn't see podcasting at all in my future, and I did it because I needed a way to promote my book.

Speaker 1:

So I thought, this would be a great way. And then it turned into oh my God, like I love connecting with these high power women like you and the other podcasters that I've met. I'm just like I love this because I learned something new every single time. And now I just want to put myself in rooms with people like you and like women like you that are these top producing podcasters and you're so good at it and everything. So, of course, like girl, like I just had to slide in DMS of these top producing, freaking podcasters and just say, hey, this is who I am, this is what the podcast is about. Can I interview on it? And I'm telling you like sometimes I had to be a little drunk because these girls again, like you know, like you know these podcasters, and it's like sometimes, like you need that liquid courage.

Speaker 1:

So I would have a glass of wine and I would just slide into girls DMs, and they were like it is not that scary, you DMs, and they were like it is not that scary.

Speaker 2:

You guys like people.

Speaker 1:

The world is not that crazy, people are not that mean, and that's what I've learned is just like just ask, just ask. And so, yeah, now I get to go to all these other podcasting events and I have more coming up and I'm just so excited because I was like I can see myself doing this forever. I want to be the next Mel Robbins. That's my goal. I have like that.

Speaker 2:

I saw that picture of you I think you're with Michaela and I was like of course she is like, of course you are like her podcast is so funny and she's charming and everything.

Speaker 1:

But when I tell you in person she is a girl's girl and she is so sweet, she's so funny and she's so nice and we're uh, we have more plans because she now moved to Texas too. She came from Southern California and moved to Texas and we have plans to do some in-person events, which I'm hoping you and I can. I will grow. I would fly to Florida for you, but I was like.

Speaker 2:

I was like I love this. I would come to Texas for you.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I was like I love this and I can see myself meeting up with girls like you and just doing live events because it's so fun. It is so fun, I get so much out of it. And, yeah, I can see myself also just traveling and doing live podcasting events with you. Know, just podcasters. This is I'm having a blast.

Speaker 2:

So if I only did the podcast and nothing else, I would be happy. This is my favorite part of my business. It's so much fun and, like you were saying, it does open a lot of doors, because it's one thing, if you reach out to someone and you're like, hey the dreaded, can I buy you a cup of coffee. Someone and you're like, hey, like the dreaded, like can I buy you a cup of coffee? Or like, can I? But like, if you're like, hey, I would love to interview you on the podcast, I would say nine out of 10 people are like, yep, absolutely they, you know. And it opens up so many doors and so many opportunities.

Speaker 2:

But yeah, like the unexpected part is it's just fun because you get to connect with so many people and then you get inspired by those people and you just start teaming up with them and I think it's the best way to grow in any industry.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely. And the best part about it is what I found is I don't know what. Now I feel like I can just message anybody and ask them to let me interview them on my podcast and stuff like that. But at first I was thinking, like these girls are so just shy up there in the podcasting world. They're so successful, oh, they must get a thousand DMs a day or whatever People just pulling them in all directions.

Speaker 1:

But the thing is, like these women and like and you can probably, you know, back me up on this but these women want to take these like newer girls with the passion, like the right passion, and then take them under their wing a little bit and say, absolutely, let's go, let's jump on up, let's jump on a podcast call. They're not tearing me down. They're not saying, well, come back when you have 5,000 followers on Instagram and you know a million downloads. They're not doing that. They're like absolutely. And then usually after the call, they're like do you have any questions? And do you? You know, like, let's do this again. It's always very encouraging, it's not? They're not tearing me down at all.

Speaker 1:

That was the thing is, like these women who are successful, nobody's going to tear you down and if they do, they're probably not doing very well, because people who are successful at anything it doesn't matter what it is real estate, podcasting, anything they're not going to tear you down. They want to turn around and help the next person in line to get to the success and get to the level that they're at. And that's why you have to keep networking. Just network your ass off. Everybody always asks me for business advice and they're like we're new to real estate. What do we do? What do we do? I'm like get your butt out there and network Like you've never networked before. Just network, talk to everybody.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, like, try to listen, try to understand, try to learn something and put yourself in those rooms you maybe shouldn't be in, maybe you didn't get invited. Who cares? Who cares?

Speaker 1:

At you.

Speaker 2:

Maybe shouldn't be in Maybe you didn't get invited. Who cares? Like who cares at the end of the day, like that could be the room that changes your whole life, you know, and so it's, it's totally worth the risk. And you said something earlier about, like don't take advice from someone who's not where you want to be, and I think that's so important because typically we tend to listen to, you know, our parents or our coworkers or our friends, because we love them.

Speaker 2:

But they don't know. If they're not in that scenario, why are we taking advice from them? They don't know, they're not in that scenario. So, like you know, you can say thank you, be nice about it, but listen to the people that are in the spot that you want to be and those people that are at the next level you want to be, and those people that are at the next level are never going to tear someone down. They're only going to try to lift them up. Like I have seen that time and time again, it's the people that are going to tear you down or the people that you know are have the fears and the limiting beliefs that they have Care city mindset.

Speaker 1:

They're afraid of their own success. They're just, they're keeping themselves small. Those are your people that are going to tear you down. I don't take advice from anybody that I wouldn't trade lives with. Not at all. I don't want your advice. And yeah, if I wouldn't trade lives with you. Thank you for your input, but no, thank you. That's how I look at it Exactly.

Speaker 2:

It's so well said. So what's next? I feel like you always have something going on. You have more podcasting events coming up. What's your big focus right now that you want to manifest?

Speaker 1:

So my word for 2024 was collaboration and I'm telling you when I set that intention, I wrote it down on my I have an old school paper planner and I wrote it down in big letters my word for this year's collaboration. And again, the how is none of my business or anything, but, oh my god, the universe really delivered and has put people in my life randomly. Some of them I had to work for, some of them again I had to put myself out there or network and stuff like that too. But the podcast has blown up because of that and I really feel like, because I set my intention with the word collaboration, that there's just these amazing women coming into my life. So definitely more podcasting events. And I thought about it after going to Michaela Jay's live event that she put on her own and she has not signed with a PR rep or anything like that. She's also one of those go-getter girls that just does whatever the fuck she wants to do unapologetically. And that's what I'm like. You know what I want to do that Maybe I will put on my own podcasting event and invite my girlfriends, like you and a couple other ones, to just meet in some random place in another state and put on some big events so we can do like live podcasting, podcasting events.

Speaker 1:

I want to get into house flipping. I want to finish the book. There's so many different projects on my plate but you know what, like it's all unfolding. It's just I'm just letting it all unfold and everything is just working itself out without me even having to try. I'm not trying to control a single thing. I don't try to control my real estate stuff. The clients come to me. You know, like that's really. I feel so blessed for that Cause I I put myself out there on social media and people DM me and say, hey, I want to buy a house.

Speaker 1:

I'm like great, I can help you with that. People are now just coming into my life for podcasting stuff and the book is really well. I have people reaching out to me asking if I could be interviewed for their podcast, just talking about the book. Because what I did I recently put out one of the chapters of like a sneak peek on the podcast and it was hard for me to read because, again, it's like my personal life, it's my trauma. But by putting myself out there and putting that chapter out there one of the most vulnerable chapters it kind of opened up a couple of doors for me. So again, girl, like I don't know, I'm just, I'm just on cruise control and I'm just taking the next step. If I see an opportunity, I take it and, um, you know, that's another thing too is, oh my gosh like learn the difference.

Speaker 1:

I'm learning the difference between a distraction and an opportunity because they look very similar, by the way, so I think it's not true, but no, yeah, some, some of the opportunities look like you know, some of the distractions look like opportunities.

Speaker 2:

And then I was, you know you have to trust your feeling on that, like go with your gut.

Speaker 1:

Trust your gut, trust your intuition. If something doesn't feel right, it's probably a distraction, but if your gut is like, no, we're good, go go this route. So I'm just, I'm just finding opportunities and I'm taking my steps in. If I screw it up, I'll figure it out, I'll get myself out and I'll and I'll pivot. So just do something. Stop staying stuck, guys. You you got this like keeping you. You know it's keeping you stuck. You, you can. You can be successful, but you have to do. You have to take a first step. Just take the first step.

Speaker 2:

Your energy. It's, it's very, very motivating. I think people should like bookmark this episode anytime they need that little boost of like yeah, I can do this.

Speaker 1:

I need to take action?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, go for it. Yeah, okay. So we need to do an event, a podcast event, in Florida, because I've had people asking for years. They're like, can we do one in Tampa or St Pete? Because there's a lot of Florida people that listen. And I've never been a big event person I'm not like the social butterfly, like you are, but if you're doing it with me, sure I'll go for it, let's do it.

Speaker 1:

I have a girl, I have this vision that I want to manifest. It's just a panel podcast event because I feel like for me I'm not Michaela J, I'm not just going to walk up on stage and lay down two hours of great content. I want my girls up there with me. And how I picture it is a panel of just five high quality women from all different parts of the country with all different stories and we are just having a conversation. And that's how I picture it. And maybe one day I'll get to, you know, be Mel Robbins and speak on stages and do Ted talks and stuff like that. But for my first event, like I said, like I can picture you, I can picture some other girls up there and we're just having this conversation of business and motivation and again taking the first step to become successful and just empowering women. I want everybody to freaking know like if it exists and you can physically see it, do it, you can have it.

Speaker 2:

And being in the physical room of those events, I feel like you always up-level because the energy it's like you have all of these people with this magnetic energy all coming together and I feel like people skyrocket after those. I know, that's what happens with me anytime I go to an event. It's like my mindset just expands and multiplies like never before. So you're getting me excited about this. We should definitely do this. We're going to raise our vibrations. I'll make some subliminals for the background.

Speaker 1:

I love it, yeah, but you and I will talk, we will talk and. I'm telling you that is that is probably going to be my biggest manifestation is I also want to put on a live podcasting event and I want the book, I want the. I want the book off my laptop and into the world. I don't ever want to see it again, because this is, this is my Everest. This book is killing me that could be your podcast event.

Speaker 2:

slash book launch. Oh my gosh, I'm getting out into the world. Exactly. Oh my gosh, I could talk to you all day like literally, We'll probably keep talking after we stop recording. But I mean we're going to have to do another episode because I feel like so much unfolds so fast in your life and there's so many nuggets of wisdom and motivation in here. Really everyone needs to save this episode and come back to it. I know I will, because your energy is just like on fire. It's amazing. So thanks for coming on.

Speaker 1:

Thank you, and thank you for having me. I'm excited.

Speaker 2:

I feel great. Now I could like take on anything this week, I feel so ready to go.

Speaker 1:

I know I was like I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go for a run, like I can run this high vibe off but, no, just talking to you is amazing, girl, and seriously like thank you for everything, and I'm just like I've been listening to you for years and just being able to like call you a friend and everything too, has just been such a freaking blessing and I don't know.

Speaker 2:

Oh my gosh, that's something that came from my podcast. You never would have found me, probably, and we wouldn't be friends now.

Speaker 1:

No, you're putting so much good into the world and you have no idea, because think of how many other girls that you don't know out there that were just like me that have completely changed their lives because of you. There's so many people you don't even know, you don't even know girl and you probably may never know, but they're out there living their best life because of you Just keep doing what you're doing.

Speaker 2:

Your podcast is really good and even just one person like I mean that's amazing and I love doing this, like I could do this as the only thing for the rest of my life and I would be happy do this as the only thing for the rest of my life, and I would be happy. So it's amazing. Okay, recap for everyone all the different places they can find you, wherever you want them to go whatever you have going on, so my.
