Truth Hurts?

             There comes a moment in time when everything changes. And it should.

      o  Will you be ready when it does?

             John 5:19-24

      o  So, Jesus said them, “Truly, truly I say to you, the Son can do nothing of His own coord, but only what He sees His Father doing. For whatever the Father does, the Son does likewise. For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all that He, himself, is doing. And greater works than theses will He show Him, so that you may marvel. For the Father raised the dad and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whomever He wills. For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgement to the Son, that all may honor the Son, just as the Son honors the Father who sent Him. Truly, truly I say to you, whoever hears my words and believes Him who sent me, has eternal life. He does not come in judgement, but has passed from death to life.

             Recap of last week’s message:

      o  Jesus’ healing of the invalid served as Jesus’ “coming out party”. 

             From this moment on everyone would know that Jesus is God!

             In today’s passage Jesus doubles down on the TRUTH that He is God!

      o  Verse 20- Jesus says He will do greater things than His Father.

      o  Verse 22-23- Jesus goes even further and proclaims that He is in charge!

             There comes a time when we are called to stand up for the TRUTH.

      o  Even when we know the TRUTH will be offensive and start a fight!

             Will you stand for the TRUTH when God calls?!
