Ep 008: I'm doing chemo while pregnant?!
Oct 05, 2023 Episode 8
Jason & Liz Brock

Recap: Liz was diagnosed with HER2+, triple negative DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) and it was only at stage zero, but by the time they performed the lumpectomy, it had progressed to stage one. She was treated at the amazing West Cancer Center in Germantown, TN and is so grateful for the brilliant oncologists and the kind and caring nurses who work in the Infusion Center, where chemotherapy is administered.

In this followup episode to I think I might have breast cancer, Liz and Jason continue telling the story of Liz's journey with breast cancer all while being pregnant. Jason reminds her that she found herself comforting others because they were so sad about her having cancer.

She recalls how her faith gave her the strength to see that this was all happening for a reason and that God was going to use it in a big way and that God had His hand on her through the entire process.

Jason shares about how he hated it when she said "If I don't make it through this..."

Liz shares a very raw and vulnerable tear-filled moment when she really began losing her hair and how Jason had to shave her head and that he was absolutely terrified to do it!!
