Ep 028: Peter, the OG of denial
Dec 14, 2023 Episode 28

Peter is known for being a fisherman, part of the inner circle of Jesus’s disciples and for denying Jesus three times. He also walked on water when Jesus was approaching the boat. But he began to sink when he took his eyes off Jesus. “Oh ye of little faith,” was Jesus’s response, but how often do we doubt God’s ability to work in our lives?

One of the biggest things Jason took away from this dive into Peter’s life was that he constantly reminded his friends that they were temporary residents here on earth and that is a good word for us today. This is not our “forever home” and we need to stop viewing it as such. Jason even makes me the point that we are doing everything we can to make ourselves nice and comfortable here, but that’s not what we’re called to.
