Speaker 1:

Welcome to the ColourShop Podcast, your weekly sports recap podcast, where we break down the hottest headlines, dissect the latest injuries and serve up our own hard hitting analysis of the past weekend sports. But that's not all. We're not just here to talk about the past, we're here to predict the future as well. On the ColourShop Podcast, we boldly predict the outcomes of the upcoming week's games.

Speaker 2:

Everybody. Thank you for listening. This is the ColourShop podcast with your host, alex Harrison, drew Moore. Today's episode. We're going to do a quick recap on Thursday Night Football, as well as a quick recap on some of the games that happened in week seven, because this episode is purely pretty much going to be 100% NBA.

Speaker 2:

Nba season did start on Tuesday. We've already had most teams playing two games. We're going to get majority into that. Give our playoff team, playoff predictions, playoff team play in teams, as well as some award predictions. So getting started real quick, in Thursday Night Football, we had the Bucks taken on the Bills. The Bills were coming off of a game where they got upset by the Patriots the week before not going to get too much into that, drew, but they did get a bounce back game against the Bucks. They beat the Bucks Thursday Night Football 24-18. Josh Allen played very well. They had some game scripted runs in there for him and overall, the Bills were able to take complete control of this game. So, drew, what were your thoughts on the game? The Bucks did make a late comeback and actually had a chance to potentially win the game on a Hail Mary pass, but now a team that started at 3-1 is now 0-3 over the past three games. So thoughts on the Bills and do you think the Bucks have any chance at NFC South with your Falcons and Saints?

Speaker 3:

I really think that this NFC South is still the Saints and the Falcons to lose. If the Saints can get their act together on offense, then there's no question it's going to be them, because of their elite defense. However, I don't know this is a Bucks team. That is not very good, excuse me, and you saw last week or at least before that, I guess it was last week when the Bills lost to the Patriots, and so this is back to back.

Speaker 3:

Well, actually, three weeks in a row now of pretty poor performances on the defensive end, especially when you allow Mack Jones just to light you up. He was literally the 30 second ranked quarterback going into week seven per pro football focus. Actually, jordan Love was 30 second, mack Jones was 31st, but regardless, you don't want to be down near the bottom. And then if you go out and light up a defense, it kind of says something about your defense If you let that happen. Granted, they've had just the multitude of injuries piling up over the course of the year so far, and a lot of those players too aren't going to be coming back for any time soon. So this is going to be the new norm for the Bills. Honestly Volatility, okay, okay. First of all, going into the season, they were supposed to be one of the more dominant teams and they were one of the more dominant teams and we saw that when they played against the Dolphins and, honestly, against pretty much all of their competition, up until they went to London and put against the Jaguars.

Speaker 2:

But before that they were, you just took care of business.

Speaker 3:

Well, okay, yeah, but at the same time they were still putting up their offense, was still putting up large amounts of points, as opposed to the rest of the league who's barely even putting up over 20 points per game, definitely. I think there's like three teams two or three teams right now that are averaging more than 20 points a game, and one of those teams are the Colts. So it just kind of shows you what the landscape of the offenses are this year and how scoring is just down all across the board. And the Bills have actually been pretty efficient when it comes to their offensive production. It may not look pretty all that time, but they've been pretty efficient, at least from the Josh Allen perspective. Efficient so right now, per pro football focus, he's currently ranked third amongst all qualified quarterbacks with the passer rating or with the passer grade of 87.7. And, to a tongue of my loa, still ranked number one and his grade is only three points higher than Josh Allen's right now.

Speaker 3:

But you know everybody's always like oh well, josh Allen, this Josh Allen that he's trash, he's going back to what he used to do and this he's actually putting up stats that are equivalent to, are actually on pace for one of his better, better passing years than he's ever had. So even with all the like, the few turnovers that he's had or like mistakes that he's had, he's still statistically been pretty great.

Speaker 2:

So he's been much less mobile for the most part. A lot of fans and NFL insiders were kind of looking into it because he's been much more of a pocket passer. This game they had some more designed runs. He had a lot more scrambles, more of the Josh Allen that we're used to, as well as a kind of a scramble touchdown. But I agree with you, I think that the Bills offense is still very good. It's just their defense now on whether or not they're going to be able to stop teams. And when you have to go against teams like the Patriots and you're giving up 29 points, it's not going to bode that well, even if you do have a good offense. So one more little note we did have Dawson Kincaid basically getting his full workload as a tight end. This was the first time that we've seen it, as Dawson Knox is on IR with his injury, so got a lot of looks. I think he had like eight plus targets, had a lot of red zone looks and ended up getting into the red zone. So a big game for Dawson Kincaid going forward.

Speaker 2:

So, moving on, we had some games that happened last week. Some of them were going to get into rapid fire real quick. So we had the Ravens, as Drew predicted, taking care of business against the Lions and an absolute blowout 38 to six. I think at one point in time what was it like? 24 to zero or 28 to zero, something like that, and it was just absolute blowout. The Lions cannot move the ball on. The Ravens took complete control. Any quick notes on that game?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, one of the one of the funny things too about that is I was talking about how they have, like you know, this pretty solid run offense and the Lions have a pretty solid run defense.

Speaker 2:

They just air it out, but yeah.

Speaker 3:

But then they were just like, yeah, let's just sling that thing around and get the job done, also very upset because the total missed by a half a point, so it went over instead of going under.

Speaker 1:

And that's.

Speaker 3:

That's just the nature of the beast. We also hit a little bit of regression. This was the first week that we weren't profitable out of the previous seven weeks that we've been doing this so far.

Speaker 3:

But you know, progression happens exactly. But yeah, I know this is. This is, I think, the kind of offense that we expected to see from the beginning of the year from the Ravens and that everybody expected to see. Lamar Jackson 357 passing yards with the QB rating of 155.8. Perfect passer rating is 158.

Speaker 3:

So he damn near had a perfect passer rating this game and he had a pretty abysmal day. We'll call it. He ended up going 33 for 53 and 280, 84 yards. Well, that was in garbage time. Interception at a 66 point or sorry, my vision's not as good as it used to be 68.4 pass a rating. So you know the Lions team. They were without a lot of a lot of their key players. David Montgomery, I'm on. Ross St Brown was coming back from injury as well. But I mean, you know I'm not concerned about the Lions at this point. They just ran to the buzz, saw that is the Ravens and if the Ravens are able to land Derek Henry, that immediately makes them one of the one of the top contenders for the Super Bowl this year.

Speaker 2:

So definitely. The Ravens look great and Lamar is firmly in the MVP conversation. I agree with you. I'm not really concerned about the Lions and the situations. The worst loss that they've had this season, the only second loss, so this is the only bad loss that they've had. The schedule for them over the next few weeks looks very favorable. They have a get right game against the Raiders this weekend, then they played the Chargers, the Bears, packers, saints Bears again, then Broncos, so they could potentially go on another win streak from there.

Speaker 2:

So moving on, we additionally did have games the Dolphins, the Eagles. The Eagles ended up beating the Dolphins 31 to 17. It was another note that the Dolphins, you know, when they actually have to play good competition with good offense and a good defense, they struggle. I can't remember the exact note, but like they haven't beaten a team that's been above 500 in a very long time. So this just goes to show that they do have that Vonto offense. But when they actually have to go against great competition within the NFL, being the Eagles or being the Bills, they do tend to struggle, so to a wasn't able to really move the ball as much. The Dolphins did have a lot of penalties compared to none by the Eagles. They had a touchdown in the red zone that get called back, that Tyrick Hill could have scored on. They had a lot of penalties on their part, with the Eagles having none Drew. Your overall thoughts on this game and how do you feel about the Dolphins and Eagles going forward in their respective conferences?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm not concerned about the Dolphins either. Again ran into the buzz, saw that is the Philadelphia Eagles and it was just a really bad matchup for them as well. They haven't really been a good team though, true, but also think about the good teams that they played, this year at least.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I understand that Defenses, yeah, the defenses that they faced has been the major problem, and then also they were dealing with a bunch of injuries on off or on the offensive line for the, for the Dolphins, and if you have, if you have players heard on the offensive line going against the, the Eagles, like it's not going to end up very well for you.

Speaker 2:

Well, more on the H&A was out. Yeah, Waddle was hurt a lot of the game.

Speaker 3:

He was in and out as well to it. But I mean, a lot of the passes that you saw, that that were completed were just wide open passes and that's that's kind of what you have come to expect for this Dolphins team.

Speaker 3:

And they really didn't have an answer for Tyrick Hill and Jaylin Waddle when they were both in the field at the same time, because they compliment each other so so eloquently, will say but when they're, when one of them is off the field, you're able to kind of hone in on on that specific receiver and then, kind of, you know, lock them down and then force other players to be great, and those other players aren't really going to give you all that much. Like Cedric Wilson Jr, three receptions. Raheem Moser was the next highest targeted receiver after that. So, like other than Tyrick Hill and Jaylin Waddle, they don't really have much outside of that when it comes to receivers. And AJ Brown just on an absolute tear. Yeah, was this like a six game?

Speaker 3:

Like 125 plus yards, yeah, and he's basically about to tie Megatron with the same record as well. And so if you're mentioning the same breath as Megatron, like you're doing something right.

Speaker 2:

And since the game in the two, when he was complaining on the sideline Exactly.

Speaker 3:

And so I don't think really anybody saw, saw him doing all of this. They thought, okay, maybe you know, like you know, give him like seven, eight or seven, eight targets, or so you know, five reception, maybe, like you know, 85 yards, 90 yards or so. Right, this man said I am him and I will continue to be him until otherwise noted.

Speaker 2:

So yeah, sorry, we got and we saw Julio Jones, who the Eagles did sign. Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2:

A week before. So that was kind of cool. Moving on, we had the Chargers and the Chiefs. The Chiefs handily beat the Chargers and Travis Kelsey and Patrick Mahomes showed why they are probably the best you know receiving quarterback combo. You could argue Tyree Killin' Tua, but I'll take Mahomes over to any day. So I think they had over 100 yards of offense themselves just in the first half. So thoughts on that game and again it just I don't know high expectations every single year with the Chargers and then they just kind of lay in a every single year.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I mean, you know, like I said earlier and one of our earlier podcasts, we were talking about the season preview, last win for Pete. When it comes to the Kansas City Chiefs, like they're just going to roll through this division, I don't. I mean, you can always try and make a case for the Chargers every year, but you're just kidding yourself. At that point, this is the last year that I will ever try and make a case for the Chargers. He said I'm done, I'm done Literally, I'm so done. I'm fed up.

Speaker 3:

Like they have so much talent around them, you have a behemoth of a man in Quinton Johnson who you refuse to get the ball. He's a rookie. Two targets, two targets. Yeah, it's supposed to be the guy that replaces, replaces Mike Williams, but no, you give him two targets and the whole year you don't ever use them. Go into your bi-week Okay, this after the bi-week that's using them in rookies. Come out and they're supposed to be a little bit better, get more familiar with the offense and everything. Come out. Two targets. Josh Palmer is is is a question and mode for this game coming up. So they have no choice but to throw it to Quinton Johnson. Okay, if they don't throw it to Quinton Johnson.

Speaker 2:

This game I'm calling him a season for them. Austin Neckler also, in his two games back, hasn't looked the greatest I know we talked about. We feel like he would both, that he would be 100% when he came back. So I don't know if it's just them trying to reincorporate him into the offense or age, I'm not exactly sure, but he hasn't really necessarily looked like himself. But Justin Herbert also hasn't really been targeting him out of the backfield like he normally does too, so not exactly sure with that. So again, yes, the Chiefs are the elite team in the AFC and they're 6-0 since they lost their game to the Lions. They have a game against the Broncos this weekend which I expect them to win, so likely it'll be 7-0. And then that's when we get into the mid schedule for the Chiefs and they actually have some good competition. So next week they have the Dolphins and the week following that they have the Eagles. So I think that'll give us a good note on both of those, all three of those teams, and their expectations going forward.

Speaker 2:

So, lastly, we did have the Vikings beating the 49ers in a surprise victory, kind of a game where it gives Justin Jefferson hope that he could eventually come back. People are talking about if the Vikings just end up being very bad, that they're probably just going to end up sitting just in Jefferson because there's no point in bringing them back for the potential of re-entry. But they win this game and now the Vikings go to 3-4. The 49ers fall to 4-er, 5-2 and they have lost two of their last three games, so actually back-to-back games. They lost against the Browns and they lost against the Vikings. So thoughts on this game, drew, and do you have any concerns for the 49ers Still without Debo Samuel, who's probably going to be out this week as well, and some banged up injuries for that team as well?

Speaker 1:

It's kind of scary Not a lot, it's scary.

Speaker 3:

But I mean real quick touching on the Vikings and Jordan Addison, you've been ringing the bell of Jordan. Addison for quite some time now, and it's about time he's finally. I mean you can't even really call out a breakout, because he's he was playing well. Yeah, and he's currently second in the league right now in touchdowns, only behind Terry Kill. So I mean, this is his coming out party in terms of being on the biggest stage that you can be on when it comes to Monday Night Football.

Speaker 2:

Kirk hasn't got a prime time on.

Speaker 3:

Exactly Ten targets, seven receptions, 123 yards, two touchdowns long of 60 yards. We literally just took the ball from the defender and just took it to the house at the end of the half. So love to see it, Glad to see this kid is really showing up and showing out for us, making us look like absolute geniuses out here.

Speaker 2:

The way Bijan has been looking. He kind of had the game last week where he didn't really play which apparently the NFL is investigating into that for the Hawks or for the Falcons because he didn't play and then they deemed him sick about midway through the game and he only got one carry. But Bijan has not looked great this year and Jordan Addison, as you mentioned, a second in the league in touchdowns and is going off with Justin Jefferson now. So I think he's making a good push and probably is the favorite right now for offensive rookie of the year.

Speaker 3:

So I think the love affair for CJ's trout is still going to be there.

Speaker 2:

I just don't think they're going to win enough games. But I hear you.

Speaker 3:

Yeah. But I mean, if he keeps on throwing for 300 yards a game and getting a couple touchdowns and really turning around that offense, I think that it's going to be his award, because most of the time it's going to be a quarterback award, just like how it is with MVP, as opposed to like, oh, this player just like completely went off. Like you know, you see Saquon Barkley doing that Like when he was a rookie and stuff like that. Give it to him. But you know, other than that, it's more often than not going to be a quarterback because of people's love affair and I mean we've seen that with the market as well and how they treat basically any other position other than quarterback in terms of paying your players and stuff too, so that is true when it comes to offense.

Speaker 2:

to the rookie year, if it's close it usually goes to the quarterback. Feel like going back to a few years ago and Dak and Zeke were both rookies. I would argue that Zeke had the much better season, but you know Dak was a quarterback and he still played very well as a rookie, so they give the rookie the year to Dak, so I would probably agree with that as well. Any other you know notes that you wanted to get into from week seven. Seahawks got the win, jags beat the Saints and that was pretty much the majority of the games. Anything else you wanted to get into for the NFL. Before we get into our player prop and call your shot segment.

Speaker 1:

No, nothing really.

Speaker 3:

Just you know, sad to see that the Saints can't get out of their own way. They finally scored more than 20 points in a game and they gave up 31.

Speaker 1:

More victories.

Speaker 3:

So yeah, and I don't know, also the Browns too, this elite defense that just shut everybody down and then they gave up 38 points to the Colts. So it's the NFL. Never know what you're going to see.

Speaker 2:

So I agree with you. So let's get into our call your shot segment, Drew. What would your first game for week eight be?

Speaker 3:

First game for week eight. It's going to be an unconventional one. All right, we're going to the grossest game on the board. All right, I am taking the Carolina Panthers to beat the Houston Texans this week. This is one of the biggest pro versus Joe Matt Jokes I've ever seen and it is quite staggering.

Speaker 3:

So when it comes to the handle, that's considered the amount of money that's placed on a game. When it comes to the bets, that's the amount of tickets that have been placed on a particular team. Okay, so right now, houston has 73% of the bets, which means it is quite a public play, but only 20% of the money, which means it's more recreational bettors that are putting bets on that team. Now, carolina Panthers 80% of the money is on them, but only 27% of the bets are on them, which means this is a complete pro versus Joe matchup right here, and I have no choice. I am legally obligated to take the Carolina Panthers in this game.

Speaker 3:

A lot of the love affair for the Panthers this week is going to be because of the change at offensive coordinator. They brought in I believe his name is Thomas Brown or something like that from the Rams, and they brought him over to call plays. And then Frank Crack was like no, I'm going to call the plays. Why do you have him? What is the point of that? It makes no sense. And so now we're starting to see a little bit of the Shaw McBae branch of coaches and seeing how those turn out. With D'Amico Ryan's, you've seen CJ Stroud limiting his turnovers and stuff too, as well as being a pretty comparable offense in the NFL. However, they're going against this Carolina Panthers team that has been better than average on defense and also they have a lot of players coming back from injury and coming off the bye as well. A lot of players are going to be healthier. Chuba Hubbard is going to be probably their main running back this week. Miles Sanders is not the running back that they thought they were going to have.

Speaker 3:

And Adam Thieland is still out there catching every pass for God knows what reason. I don't think his target share is going to be nearly as high now, with Thomas Brown calling the plays, but I do still think he's going to be around, like the 7 to 8 target kind of range.

Speaker 3:

Finally, for my dissertation on the Carolina Panthers. Before starting or before the start of week 7, the Carolina Panthers were leading the NFC South, which might not seem like a solid task, but they were leading the NFC South and points scored. So I rest my case your honor.

Speaker 2:

So you think that they're going to get their first win against CJ Stroud? I?

Speaker 1:

do believe so.

Speaker 3:

If not, then they will at least cover. I'm going to take my 3 and a half right now.

Speaker 2:

Okay, moving on Mine, I'm going to go back to the well. I'm taking Seattle over the Browns. We have DeSean Watson, who's been confirmed out, so PJ Walker is going to be the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, which at this point might be better for them They've actually been very well. Cj Stroud. I do believe that Karim Hunt is going to be the starting running back. Jerome Ford is questionable but not likely to start, as they did bring one of their practice squad guys, activate him.

Speaker 2:

I just think that the Seahawks are just going to be able to move the ball and out score the Browns. The Browns defense again has been very good and a couple of weeks ago people were talking about it as being a historic defense. Them giving up 39 points or 38 points to the Colts does kind of make me feel a little bit better about that. I just think that hopefully the Seahawks are going to be able to get clicking on all cylinders offensively. Dk Metcalf is supposed to be playing in this game, so we should have our full range of players, and Kenneth Walker is also a go. So hopefully I think that we should be able to put some points on the board and hopefully I want our defense to get it together for one game, and I feel like this is the game of all, if I don't know, I just want to have some confidence going forward, so I'm going to choose the Seahawks thoughts on that drew. And then what would your first player prop be, unless you have another game?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I mean it's.

Speaker 1:

I remember you were going back and forth on taking the Browns potentially?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't want to, but I really if.

Speaker 3:

I was going to, it would have been because of the defense, not because of the offense, and PJ Walker 39 points last week. Dude, that. That was the grossest 35 points I've ever seen in my life, and I was with the Rome forward, who also was dominating last week. Who's now injured? So, like I it's, it's gross. I don't like it, I'm not going to, I'm not going to force it and also definitely a homer.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, and there's a lot of these games this week that are like it's a full card, for sure, but staying away from a lot of these games, it's it's risky A lot of divisional games. Yeah, speaking of divisional game, we have this. We have this Kansas City Chiefs game. Here it's. It's looking me in the eyes.

Speaker 2:

I thought about it, that was going to be my second one too, but I'm like, I mean, I don't know how many did the Chiefs win by last time they played they played a couple weeks ago, I think they went by like 10 or something like that 11, 11, yeah they won by 11. Oh yeah they barely beat the spread because the spread was like 10 or something like that. Yeah, it was 10 and a half.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, this time it's in Denver. Patrick Mahomes is 16 and 0 against the against the Broncos. Yeah, oh boy, laying big public numbers is my favorite thing to do.

Speaker 2:

Let me know if you want to take the Broncos. I'll do that bit with you right now. I'll take the Chiefs minus seven.

Speaker 3:

That's gross. I can't, I can't. I thought about it. I was. I really wanted to Failed again. Yeah, no, I'm not going to force anything this week.

Speaker 2:

I'm not going to force anything. We could just have one each and one each. Yeah just leave it at that.

Speaker 3:

Actually speaking of not forcing it, I'm going to take the Jaguars.

Speaker 2:

That was I was going to be one of my games too.

Speaker 3:

What's his face? Deontay Johnson? He's hurt and same injury, hamstring rearing its ugly head again.

Speaker 2:

Was that a good win against the Rams last week?

Speaker 3:

Which they had no business winning. Yeah, they should not have won.

Speaker 2:

I think the Rams were up by like 10.

Speaker 3:

Yep, and then you know TJ Watt coming in Glech again, defensive touchdowns. It's ridiculous. Their offense is okay when it comes to having Deontay Johnson on the field along with Pickens. Pickens, they actually looked, yeah, they looked comfortable. As opposed to when only Pickens is on the field, then it's only just like a one yard slant route that ends up going to the house because like people can't tackle in the secondary apparently.

Speaker 2:

To find you still out on?

Speaker 3:

IR. Yep, exactly so, and Jacksonville is actually been playing pretty well. I think that we're also kind of buying them at the top of the market, to be honest, but you know, I don't know. The other thing, too, about this is a lot of a lot of the professional matters have been on on Pittsburgh every week and it's gross, but they've been covering for them and this, this spread is down to two and a half.

Speaker 3:

I think that it's time to pick on the Jacksonville Jaguars here. I don't think that it's going to be a good game for Pickens, pickens to pick it, pick it to Pickens. There we go. It's like Peter Piper picked a pickle pepper, yep, but yeah, so I think it's a good time to take advantage of this, of this spot right here. With the injuries of Deontay Johnson, who means a lot more to the offense than a lot of people realize, and I can do his name Trevor Lawrence has actually been playing pretty well this year. Finally, this is what happens when we don't have a bunch of drops from your receivers. You get a high powered offense that can score a bunch of touchdowns in a dynamic runner and Travis Etienne as well.

Speaker 2:

Listen.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, they've been a versatile offense Yep, give me Jacksonville money line. I don't want to be screwed over again like I've been screwed on at least five times.

Speaker 2:

So it hurt too many times. Fair enough, yeah, I don't have another one, so we're going to get started into player props. I'll get started here the a week past Titan Day. Both my player props are going to be Titans. I have George Kittle for over 42.5 yards. We're going to be without Debo Samuel.

Speaker 2:

So I feel like when they have to play against the Bengals they're going to have to air the ball out because I feel like the Bengals are going to be able to put points on the board coming off there by week. Hopefully everybody's healthy and Joe Burrow's calf is hopefully pretty much healed, so I feel like I don't think it'll be a shoot up. I think a good amount of points can be put on the board. So I feel like they're going to have to go to George Kittle, who's been getting a lot of work since Debo has been out. Hopefully I'm going to have Darren Waller over for the same yardage 42.5 since Daniel Jones has been out in.

Speaker 2:

Tyra Taylor has been the starting quarterback for the Giants. He has been his go to and he has actually given him catchable targets, unlike Daniel Jones sometimes. So I feel like pretty confident in taking Darren Waller with the 42.5 over as the Giants go against the Jets this week. I feel like the Jets are going to be able to shut down a lot of the Giants receivers, so I feel like they're going to have to throw short intermediate routes, especially to Darren Waller. So those would be my two picks. Thoughts on that, drew, and what would your player pops be?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I mean they have no choice but to throw it to. I almost said George, that's the one I was looking for Kittle, I almost said George Kittles.

Speaker 3:

They have no choice but to throw it to Kittle. That's one of the reasons why I said that I was kind of scared for the outlook on the 49ers because of all these injuries cropping up. Exactly, a lot of people are thinking that there's like a major drop off between Sam Darnold and Brock Birdie, and maybe there is, but I don't think it's as big as people think. They're like pro football focus. Their offensive QB ratings are within, I believe, like two or three points of each other. So I'm hoping, at least for my sake, for my future best that I have on 49ers, that it is not that much of a difference.

Speaker 3:

And for those of you that don't know.

Speaker 2:

Brock Birdie is dealing with a concussion is very questionable and probably doubtful for this game, so Sam Darnold would be the backup starter.

Speaker 3:

And this year too. But I think they're trying. And if I was trying to emphasize more and more often is if you are in concussion for a call, you're at least going to miss one game. I think that's a very reasonable thing, that we're not bringing back players too soon risking further injury. But as far as George Kittle goes and his prop, I like it.

Speaker 1:

And then the second one was that one again.

Speaker 2:

Darren Waller over 42.5.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, darren Waller really come on over the last couple games here, and I decided to stop using his flippers like a walrus and started using his actual hands to catch the ball, which has been great for my fantasy team as well. The only real concern, though, is, like Tyrone Taylor is still the quarterback. Yeah, he's been better, but at the same time, it's still tie-rot Taylor and he's a backup for a reason, and they're also going against the jet, so I mean gave the bills run for their money.

Speaker 2:

I.

Speaker 3:

Mean sure, but yeah. I mean that. That's. That's also the point, though, too right, like if the bills are Are we're limited on offense? If the chiefs were limited on offense, and then you have the. You have the Giants coming in here like you know.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm not saying a lot of points, I just think that they're gonna have thrown their wall. I think he's gonna get a good amount of targets in. I think four catches will get to 42.5.

Speaker 1:

So I Guess, yeah, that's fair.

Speaker 3:

What are your?

Speaker 2:

player props.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, so I, like Christian Kurt, go over 52 and a half yards, I think it's. That's what it was when I last looked at is I think it's up to 54 and a half now, which is unfortunate but I'm still gonna take it.

Speaker 3:

It's like we talked about last week when Zay Jones is out of the game, take Christian Kirk over. They say Jones is out of the game, so I'm taking the Christian Kirk over. Not only that, but the Christian Kirk thrives against man coverage because he's pretty quick receiver, and the Steelers, I think to the first or second in the league when it comes to man coverage.

Speaker 3:

So I think that's a pretty straightforward one from you right there. And then next one that I have is going to be Michael Pittman. Over and ever since Michael Pittman has been playing with his, his good buddy, gardner, but you, he's really been taken off. And also, I like the matchup against the Saints, because one they just gave up what like a million points to the, to the Jaguars, so, after Thinking that they were actually a comfortable secondary which they are at times, but they also are very vulnerable over the middle of the field, which is where Michael Pittman thrives is running routes over the middle of the field, getting open for Gardner Minchu and then taking them, you know, at least like 20, 30 yards, and Gardner Mitch is gonna be throwing a lot in this game, because that's all he can really do, but apparently he's also a running quarterback, now Versatile we had talked about earlier him being Andrew Luck, apparently.

Speaker 3:

So that's another one of those things, though, too, it's like when I was going back and forth on this game in terms of picking the Saints, but I couldn't get myself to get there because I don't know if they're gonna reach this mark, which is the stat that I had given you previously about how Gardner Minchu is like one in you know 14. Well, now like two and like 13 or whatever it is now, because with the one game that we chose, he lost, already won and then so yeah. But if you take it a little step further, he's one in 15 In games where the opponent has scored 20 points or more. The thing is, I don't know if the Saints are gonna get to 20 points or more, so I I that's why I didn't have taken that, but I do think that this is gonna be a higher scoring game, which is gonna bode well for the over on Michael Pittman's or receiving Fair enough, I like those picks.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, christian Kirk, as we mentioned last week, has honestly become the the guy for Trevor Lawrence, and obviously it's their second season together. It based off of the first game we all thought that Calvin really was gonna be the guy, but since then Christian Kirk has had more receptions, more targets, more touchdowns and has been the go-to for Trevor Lawrence, so I don't mind that pick at all. I think that he's only had one game below 50 yards Since week one, so I'd have good confidence in that. And same thing with Pittman. As you mentioned, gardner Minchu has been able to Sling the ball around as well, for Josh Downs to has also been a very good receiver, young receiver for the Colts, so I would and yeah, the Colts are gonna have to air the ball out, so I would. I like that Pittman pick as well, unless you have any more notes for the NFL, we're gonna get straight into the NBA, so you got anything drew.

Speaker 1:

No, that's it.
