Affirmations for recovery, day 28.

00:03
I'm super excited because we almost there. I see the flight attendants preparing my cabin for arrival. And I'm super excited because today we talk about dedicate. What does it mean to be dedicated? What does it mean to you? What I mean? When you were in your addiction to whatever it was, you were dedicated right. So now, when we're seeking recovery, we're seeking perseverance, like we were yesterday. What are you doing? How are you dedicated to it? I want to know, because sharing is caring, and I want to pass this message to somebody else. It's super important.

00:38
When you think about recovery, you think about the journey. How do you share that journey with somebody else? That's therapy all in itself. So shout out to you. I want to shout out you first, the people of recovery, because we make this world go round. Yes, see that smile. Just saying that just makes me feel that much better, man. Shout out to you for putting in this work with me. I'm telling you I know it's hard, I know it's not always kisses, hugs and beautiful words, but I'm telling you, recovery is therapy.

01:08
Okay, learning how to recover is therapy. You want to change the world. Change yourself, change one person yourself, and the world instantly changes. So I am dedicated to my recovery. I want you to remind yourself you are dedicated to your recovery. Look at all to remind yourself you are dedicated to your recovery. Look at all this work you've been putting in. That's dedication. Okay, don't sell yourself short. Words have power. You are powerful. You are doing the work. You are dedicated to your recovery. So what if your friends around you don't see it? They still laugh. Oh man, he'll be back. She'll be back. She'll be back. They're going to know you dedicated to your recovery today. Yes, you putting in this work, man, you ain't playing, you ain't shucking and jiving. Yes, you put in the work and damn the ones that don't see it. Okay, I see it and I'm super proud of you. Keep doing the work.

02:08
Determined, excited, delighted, ignited, confident, alive, thrill, electrifying. That's what dedication for me does. Determined, excited, I get excited. Yes, delighted, ignited, confident, alive, thrill, electrifying. Dedication produces this type of energy when you really, really dedicate it. You know it gets to the point, man, after you know, 27 days of journaling when you wake up, day 28, you reaching for that journal, where that journal at, I want to see, because what you did yesterday felt so good. You got so much stuff done, you got so many goals accomplished that it felt so good that you want to do it again today, and that's when you're on track and the right train. Okay, guys.

02:48
So I strongly recommend building new habits.

02:51
That's what this is about For me.

02:53
I journal in the morning. I want to see how my day is going to be. I want to talk to God first, and I want to find my happy place. Speaking to the Father always lands me in my happy place and then from there, I'm not letting nobody take me out of my happy place. And when they do, when problems happen, situations happen, because they do all day, every day, right.

03:14
We repeat, we go back to what worked last time, and for me, prayer, prayer is at the forefront. I love prayer because I believe in prayer. Prayer changes things. It don't always go the way you want. That's not what prayer is about. Prayer is about talking to the Father and leaving it there right. So today, my prayer for you is that you continue to be dedicated to your recovery journey, because when you change yourself, the world is instantly changing, yes, and the world is instantly evolving. Man, shout out to every single person. Today, I want you to remember that you're dedicated to your recovery. And yes, you have problems. Yes, we all do, and you may fall short, but dedication lives within. You got to be dedicated, you got to be consistent, you got to be disciplined and, most importantly, accountable for your actions. Until next time, guys, take care of yourself and each other.
