Affirmations for Recovery Podcast - Season Eight Day Twenty
Every morning, as the sun begins to peek through the curtains, I find myself in quiet conversation with the Father, seeking guidance on the message I'm meant to share. It's a practice that grounds me, a reminder that I'm a servant to something far greater than myself. Today marks day 20 of our shared journey, a milestone that fills me with gratitude for the sheer tenacity and spirit of those around me. In this heartfelt conversation, we reflect on the power of inspiration and its remarkable ability to lift us above negativity and propel us through our recovery and personal transformation.
The resilience and stories of those in recovery—regardless of what it is they're overcoming—never cease to amaze me. From the simple yet profound affirmations we instill in our children, shaping their young minds with positivity, to celebrating the unwavering support of those who believe in our missions and dreams, this episode is a tapestry of encouragement. I invite you to join us as we delve into the essence of inspiration, sharing what ignites our passion and determination to forge ahead in these tumultuous times. It's a reminder to care for ourselves as we do for others, nurturing our spirits as we continue on this path of healing and growth. Let's keep the inspiration abundant, and the support for each other strong, until we meet again.

00:00 - Erick Allen (Host)
Good morning. So today we're going to slow things a little bit down. I pray, like I do every single morning. Before I do these, I make sure I pray, I talk to the Father and ask Him specifically what does he want me to talk to you about? How do you want to lead me? Because I'm just a servant. Okay, I'm here because of you. I'm here because the Father asked me to be here, to share this message with you. So, day 20, day 20, we've been at this two thirds of the way, and we're two thirds of the way there. So I'll never stop progressing.

Instead, rise above the idea of negativity. Inspiration is the word. Yes, I feel inspired just by reading that off to you. I'm telling you, man, I am inspired to change my life. Me too. Me too.

Change is a beautiful thing, especially when you're working hard to do it. They won't understand. Trust me, there's going to be people in your life that doubt you. There are going to be people in your life that make fun of you. You just keep doing the work. That's where perseverance lives. I'm inspired. I'm inspired by everybody that comes every single day talking to me, making comments, sharing their life journey with us. You inspire me, man, I'm telling you, everybody in recovery, no matter what you're in recovery from, you inspire me, because we make this world go round. Man, shout out to Ocean Tree Creative. They lit the fire under me, they told me to get to work and I'm back like I never left. Ocean Tree Creative, a production company out of Minnesota doing a lot of great work in a lot of great communities yes, so make sure, if you see Ocean Tree Creative anywhere, any social media platform, support that movement, like, comment and subscribe. I Am Affirmations coloring book. Omg, this goes hand in hand with the affirmations for recovery for adults. This is for children, I mean, like because we started early, liefoundation.org. There's a link to these books on my website, erickallenrecovery.shop Loyalty in everything from A to Z how to be affirmative. How do you teach affirmations? How do you reprogram? How do you help children learn how to be better people? It starts with the mind. It starts with our conversation. It starts with how we talk to them. This is a great tool to introduce to children, I want to say under 10. Under 10. This is a great guide to help children under 10. Liefoundation.org there's a link to purchase books, to purchase the publications. Yes, these are essential to the cause, to the mission, so make sure you support us today.

Last but not least, analyze this topic. That is my parent company. That's who brings me here every single morning. Man, I could not be, I wouldn't be much without them. It's been a long journey. They believed in me since day one and shout out to you for believing in me. Yes, so day 20, it's about being inspired. What inspires you? I'm curious because the world we live in, there's a lot of things going on. There's a lot of different things going on, so it's important that we inspire each other. What inspires you? Tell us, share it with us, so I can share with somebody else. Sharing is caring. Yes, Continue to take care of yourselves, guys, I'm telling you. I know with recovery firsthand, sometimes we lose ourselves, we forget. We put so much work in helping others that we forget about ourselves. We put so much work in helping others that we forget about ourselves. Got to make time for yourself. You're no good to us if you don't take care of yourself first. Yep, until next time, take care of yourself and each other. Let's go.
