Speaker 1:

Let's get started with today's mantra and get tuned in, tapped in and turned on. Hello and welcome to the eighth episode of Pocket Full of Mojo, and once again I'm Steph, your hostess, and mojo maven, and I'm so glad you're here. This is going to be a super saucy episode, so let's get right into it. Let's start by digging into today's mantra. So today's mantra is I am fearless because I know I have the strength to conquer anything. Wow, okay. Now Imagine for a second what your life would be like if that were true. I am fearless because I know I have the strength to conquer anything.

Speaker 1:

This mantra really embodies a mindset of courage and resilience. It acknowledges that, yeah, fear may come up, but we choose to confront it head on because we have before and we can again. I am fearless because I know that I have the strength to conquer anything. You know, confidence comes with self-awareness and a trust in your abilities, and you know you have several, many of those. This mantra reminds us that we already have the strength that we need. We just need to call on it and it's there. I am fearless because I know that I have the strength to conquer anything. Each and every one of us already has an inner reservoir of resilience and strength and determination and innate power capable of overcoming the challenges that will inevitably find us Repeating this mantra. Keeps this knowing close by ready for the call to action. I am fearless because I know that I have the strength to conquer anything. With unwavering beliefs in ourselves, we can face any obstacle or adversity that comes our way. We will be victorious in the end, but we have to enter the arena. I am fearless because I know I have the strength to conquer anything. That was a good one. We are going to keep that mantra. We are going to keep it in our pocket. We are going to have it handy. We are going to practice it throughout the day, throughout the week. We know that we can call on that strength whenever we need. We just need to make sure that we have the roadmap and keep it close by.

Speaker 1:

Let's move into today's main topic. What we are going to do here today is really dig into something that will empower the people pleasers to embrace the fearless self-expression and live a life filled with self-love. Today we are diving deep into the transformative power of expressing our authentic selves without fear. Fear is what Not invited.

Speaker 1:

Picture this you are at a party surrounded by laughter and chatter, but instead of joining in, you find yourself shrinking into the background, kind of afraid to speak up or share your thoughts or feelings. Sound familiar? Many of us have been there. I think I mentioned a similar story in one of my last episodes. But we get stuck in this cycle of people pleasing and we become afraid to show up as our true selves. We end up living in fear of rejection or judgment, and this is more than being a bit shy. We're too old for that. It's time to step into our light and share the amazing humans that we are. The world will be better for it, and in a minute you'll see why.

Speaker 1:

But here's the thing when you suppress yourself, your true self, and you find yourself conforming to societal expectations or anyone's expectations, really what you're doing is you're denying the world of the gift that is you, your unique perspectives, your unique talents. No one's been in this world the way that you have. But, babe, you're not alone. There are so many of us who get in our own way and we rob ourselves of the opportunity to live a life in alignment with our deepest desires and our purpose. And it's not cute. We deserve more. So why do we do it? Where do we learn this conformity and how can we break away?

Speaker 1:

Well, let's start by defining self-expression. Self-expression is the act of sharing our thoughts, our feelings, our experiences, and doing it authentically, and this is the key here doing it unapologetically. That's right. We've run out of fucks to give and it's time to live out loud. It's about embracing our quirks, our passions, our vulnerabilities, and allowing them to shine through in everything we do, because along with that comes all of our good stuff too. When we express ourselves freely, we're not only honoring our own truth, but we're creating a space to inspire others to do the same. Because, guess what? We're all out there making it up as we go along, and there's no wrong answers here. So why not put up your hand and speak up?

Speaker 1:

So let's look at the roadblocks. Let's see what's preventing us from really expressing ourselves fearlessly and fiercely. Let's explore a few. The first one that comes to mind is the fear of rejection, my former best friend. We've broken up since then, but I've spent a lot of time with this loser and Know well enough to know that it ain't. Nobody got time for that. One of the most common roadblocks to self-expression is the fear of rejection. We worry that if we show our true selves will be judged or criticized or even ostracized by others and the voice telling you all this is a liar and if these things do happen, I'm here to tell you it doesn't matter. So write this down other people's opinions are none of your business.

Speaker 1:

The next piece of the puzzle that comes to ruin the party is social conditioning. So often, from a young age, we're taught to conform to societal norms and expectations. That's how you're a good girl or boy. We learn that fitting in allows us to stay out of the firing line when it comes to criticism and that standing out is a bad thing. We learn that to suppress our uniqueness in favor of fitting in is A good thing and that we need to seek approval from others, and what's funny is that those other people are also looking to fit in. So now look at this mess that we've made. We've adapted these social structures and these systems, and the bad news is that these continue long past childhood. But we're grown-ups now, and we get to be the change that we want to see, and that means that you get to be yourself, you get to give zero fucks and you get to let the chips fall where they may, and this is a trend worth setting.

Speaker 1:

Now the other loser that needs to leave the party is self-doubt. Negative self-talk and limiting beliefs are gross. Now they're normal, sadly and and yet the truth is that they are the ones that are holding us back, which means that we are the ones that are holding us back, and it stops us from expressing ourselves with authenticity. When we question whether our thoughts, ideas and talents are worthy of sharing with the world. We keep listening to the negative things that the world has to say, and we may start to believe that we and our thoughts are not worthy of the spotlight. But guess what, my friend? That's just more lies. But finally, here's some good news we have the power to conquer these roadblocks and tap into our best selves.

Speaker 1:

So let's dig into some strategies to help you do just that. The first thing we're gonna do is shine a spotlight on your self-awareness. Start by getting to know yourself on a deeper level. Think about what your passions are. When was the last time you interrogated what your interests are, can you even lift your values? The more you understand who you are, the easier it becomes to express yourself authentically. Get to the place where you actively enjoy spending time with yourself. Take yourself out on dates, do some journaling. Go out into nature. Discover what lights you up and where do your thoughts go when you're just thinking about you. The more time you spend, the more you'll fall in love with yourself and discover all the good stuff that makes you tick and the value that you bring to the world, because you're a big deal. Get into it Now.

Speaker 1:

Based on what I just said, this may sound counterintuitive, but I'm gonna ask you to challenge your beliefs, question the beliefs and assumptions that hold you back from expressing yourself Fearlessly. Are they rooted in truth or are they simply stories that you've been telling yourself? Or, worse yet, stories that someone else has told you? Look, they're not you. If you uncover some limiting beliefs, replace them with empowering affirmations that reinforce how unique and amazing that you are, because that's the realty.

Speaker 1:

Now, this may take some muscle, but it's important to practice courageous words, but it's important to practice courageous vulnerability. Think of it like a trust fall, and it do take nerve to fall with your eyes closed, but when you embrace vulnerability as a strength rather than a weakness, you're off to the races. When you share your thoughts and your feelings and your experiences openly, vulnerability can feel uncomfortable at first, but it builds connection and it allows others to see the real and amazing you. This will mean stepping outside of your comfort zone and at first it may feel like an out-of-body experience, but you'll be looking at yourself, acting with strength and courage and dang, it looks good on you. If you've ever felt overlooked, rewind the tape and interrogate the thought Was I truly representing myself in that moment? Because, believe it or not, the world can tell when someone is sharing who they are and when they're not. On some level, we can pick up when someone is shining through and when they're just trying to fit in. Pick your camp. Shine bright. That's your homework Now.

Speaker 1:

A key ingredient to all this is to surround yourself with support. Surround yourself with people who celebrate and encourage the authentic self-expression that is you. Seek out communities and relationships where you feel seen and heard and valued for who you truly are Feeling. Seen and heard are good indicators that you're with the right people. Sometimes this means doing a bit of inventory on our social circle to weed out the cheerleaders from the Debbie Downers, and that's okay You'll have a better idea of where you're safe to express and where you're best to save your breath. Remember, your story is important and the world needs to hear it because, who knows, you may end up even changing a mind or two.

Speaker 1:

But embracing fearless self-expression, you do not only honor yourself, which is always our number one priority, but you're also out there inspiring others to do the same. So let go of fear, break up with conformity because frankly it's boring and unleash the full power of your unique voice and presence. Your mojo and the world are waiting. ["mozjo and the World Are Waiting"]. Oh, yes.

Speaker 1:
