Paying off high-interest credit cards first is the popular opinion. Another popular opinion is to avoid debt consolidation.  When asked about these two topics, my answer is always, "It depends." 

Everyone's money situation is different. That difference should be evaluated to determine the best way to move forward when considering what credit card to pay off first. Or if debt consolidation is the best way forward financially.
