Greetings, listeners! Hermes here with a story read from the Olive Fairy Book by Andrew Lang. It's a story about how a messenger's silly mistake led to a young princess receiving patience as a gift! You see, I was supposed to have finished an adaptation of The North Wind and the Sun but my mortal conduit just didn't get all of my brilliant thoughts written down in time. Such is the way of life! Once you humans figure out how to type with the mind, everything will be much quicker. Until then, we'll just settle for this contribution for the week. May it bring you something to keep your hunger for folklore sated ... until we meet again!
You know how it goes. Dead letters go to my uncle at hades@firesidefolklorewithhades.com though since I am the messenger of the gods, if you'd prefer to go through me because you're scared he'll bite, I'm at ... you guessed it!, hermes@firesidefolklorewithhades.com.
