Mr Drew

A very happy new year to all LFC fans and a big thanks for your support with the pod. Here’s to a successful (hopefully) trophy-laden 2024 for the Reds.

Drew looks back at Liverpool’s final two fixtures of a busy Christmas period, which saw the Reds hoover up maximum points. A 2-0 Boxing Day win at Burnley was followed up by a hugely dominant 4-2 victory in front of a raucous Anfield on New Year’s Day. That coupled with the recent results of our rivals means that we are now legitimately clear at the top of the Premier League table once more - with just over half of the season gone.

Everything points to a super-exciting second half to the season and a fascinating title race in the weeks to come. But there’s now a lengthy break before the next round of Premier League games and we now travel to the Emirates Stadium to face a wounded Arsenal side in what’s likely to be a tough assignment in North London.
