Are you still confused about gardening by the moon? Let’s talk a bit about why we promote this age-old practice.

Liz Buggs joins us to talk about the Wanaka A&P Show schedule - Do get involved with your local A&P Show, they are a wonderful annual event that reminds us of the benefits of getting together as a community in a very wholesome way.

'Edible Flowers' that brighten our plates and tastebuds, is our main topic this week.

Our Tea of choice today is Lemon balm with a dash of basil - a relaxing/calming brew

For each cup you will need the top growth of both lemon balm and basil - about 6-8 pairs of leaves. Add to a teapot with boiling water and this recipe calls for a long steep of about 15 minutes so employ your tea cosy.

Garden happenings, 6th & 7th Root crop direct sowing

8th-11th Cultivate period.

12th onwards Sowing and planting above-ground fruiting vegetables.

Army Worm Moth and what to do when you find them.

Book - Which Native Plant Can I Grow Here - Andrew Crowe

We introduce a new segment LISTENERS QUESTIONS - Shelley from the Far North wrote to us with a question about purple beans and how to freeze them.
