Have you ever felt the ground give way beneath you, only to discover you have wings? This episode is a raw and honest reflection on the times when we're brought to our knees by life's unexpected punches—like the day I lost all my data during a broker switch—and how we rise stronger and more resilient. I'm inviting you into the intimate spaces of my journey with procrastination and resilience, sharing not just my own narrative but also weaving in the universal threads of personal growth that connect us all. We're peeling back the layers of hesitation that often camouflage themselves as procrastination and finding out how these moments are ripe with the potential for expansion and self-discovery.

Sometimes we need a compass to navigate the landscapes of our ambitions, and that's exactly what we're mapping out together. I'm talking mentors, accountability buddies, coaches—those guiding stars that help us harness our innate strengths and steer us through the squalls of delay and resistance.

AFFIRMATION:
Today, I embrace my resistance.  I acknowledge that my procrastination is not a sign of weakness, but rather a signal of untapped potential waiting to be unleashed.  In the face of uncertainty, I choose courage over comfort. I lean into the discomfort, knowing that on the other side lies growth and transformation.  I release the fear of failure and embrace the journey of becoming. I trust that every step I take, even the smallest ones, propels me forward on my path to greatness.  I surrender the need for perfection and embrace the beauty of imperfection. I am a work in progress, and that's perfectly okay.  Today, I honor my journey, my struggles, and my victories. I am worthy of success, and I am capable of achieving my dreams.  With faith in myself and the support of my "WHO," I step boldly into the unknown, ready to embrace all that life has to offer.  I am resilient.  I am powerful. I am unstoppable.

Three takeaways from today's episode:
1. Procrastination as a Path to Growth.
2. Find Your "WHO".
3. Embrace Resilience.

Speaker 1:

But first off, before we dive into today's topic, I want to again welcome you. I hope you had a beautiful weekend and I hope you now are sitting in your favorite comfy chair with your favorite hot beverage. Hey, quick, a little thing about resilience today Before we start into our topic. It's like I just want to share a little antidote about resilience because of what happened to me this weekend and let me tell you, this past weekend I needed every single ounce of resilience that I could muster up.

Speaker 1:

You see, I experienced a major setback when my Google Chromebook was wiped absolutely clean due to a change in real estate. Brokers Did not see that coming, was not prepared for that to happen. So it was kind of like a punch in the gut as I watched literally everything banished from my laptop all my passwords, all my documents you name it gone in an instant. So what I've learned from that is Google Docs is where I need to save everything. I literally was utterly mortified, in disbelief and the stress kept me just like tossing and turning all night long, thinking, oh my goodness, I just literally lost everything. I lost everything that I meticulously saved over the past three years and no, I did not necessarily store them in Google Docs, but as just silly documents on my computer. And it felt like just like this insurmountable challenge. But you know what, despite the initial shock and devastation, I tapped into my resilience that I really didn't know I had Now. It didn't happen immediately. It took me 24, 36 hours to do it, but I spent hours resetting passwords, changing passwords and piecing together what I could and, slowly but surely, I feel like I've regained control and now, despite the unexpected hiccup, I find myself relatively calm, recording this podcast from my phone. Relatively calm recording this podcast from my phone, and it's really not envisioned how I wanted to spend a few hours on this beautiful Mother's Day. But hey, such is life, you just got to roll with it sometimes. I really hope that this resonates with you. Remind you that the power of resilience in overcoming life's challenges takes a lot, but you can do it, and changes are thrown at you time after time, and you just need to learn to be resilient. Yes, you can have your initial meltdown, but resilience and dedication will get you moving forward.

Speaker 1:

Today, on Monday Mindset, we are going to dive into the fascinating topic of procrastination and its deep connection with personal growth. Have you ever found yourself putting off important tasks or delaying your dreams? Well, guess what? You're not alone. In fact, procrastination often signifies that you are teetering on the edge of growth, but perhaps feeling a bit stuck on how to take that next step forward. Not, because here's the juicy truth Within procrastination lies a golden opportunity to uncover your who. What do I mean by that. Well, picture this Finding your who is like discovering your personal guiding light, your mentor, your accountability partner, who can help you lead, can help lead you toward your desired destination. You see, when you align yourself with the right who, that's someone who understands your vision, your values and your aspirations, magic happens Suddenly the path to success becomes clearer, you gain clarity, obstacles seem less daunting and you find yourself stepping into your full potential with a newfound confidence. So, dear listeners, if you are currently grappling with procrastination, it is time to shift your perspective. Instead of viewing it as a roadblock, see it as a signpost pointing you toward growth, growth. And remember, finding your who can make all the difference in turning those dreams into reality.

Speaker 1:

Now, like I love to share with you guys every single Monday Mindset, here is your affirmation for today. I will put it in the show notes, you guys can journal on it, write it down, put it on a sticky and put it on your computer I don't care. But here you go Today. I embrace my resistance. I acknowledge that my procrastination is not a sign of weakness, but rather a signal of untapped potential waiting to be unleashed. In the face of uncertainty, I choose courage over comfort, lean into the discomfort, knowing that on the other side lies growth and transformation. I release the fear of failure and embrace the journey of becoming. I trust that every step I take, even the smallest ones, propels me forward on my path to greatness. I surrender the need for perfection and embrace the beauty of imperfection. I am a work in progress and that's perfectly okay. Today, I honor my journey, my struggles, my victories. I am worthy of success and I am capable of achieving my dreams. With faith in myself and the sport of my who, I step boldly into the unknown, ready to embrace all that life has to offer. I am resilient, I am powerful, I am unstoppable. I am unstoppable. That is an amazing affirmation. I do hope that you guys read it, journal on it, really, really think about it. And I hope that this affirmation resonates so deeply with you because I know it does with me and I hope it empowers you to embrace your journey and step into your greatness. I encourage you to look upon who might be your who, that person or support system who can help you navigate through the procrastination and propel you towards your goals Because, trust me, when you find that guiding light, incredible things start to happen. Thank you for tuning in today and until next time, keep shining bright and unleashing your inner radiance.

Speaker 1:

Here are three takeaways from today's episode. One procrastination as a path to growth. Remember, procrastination isn't always a sign of laziness or lack of motivation. It can often signify that you are on the brink of growth, standing on the threshold of your next level of success. Instead of beating yourself up for procrastinating, remember and review it. Just view it as an opportunity to lean into the discomfort and explore what's holding you back from taking that next step. Two find your who.

Speaker 1:

Just as important as understanding why you are procrastinating is also identifying who can support you in overcoming it. Seek out mentors, accountability partners, coaches or support communities who understand your vision and guide you. They want to guide you and they can guide you towards your goals. When you have the right support system in place, navigating through procrastination becomes a lot less daunting and success becomes a lot more attainable. Three embrace resilience. Life is unpredictable and setbacks are inevitable, but it's not about avoiding the challenges, because sometimes you can't. It's about how you respond to them. Cultivate resilience by embracing the setbacks as opportunities for growth, tapping into your inner strength and finding solutions even in the face of adversity. Remember, it's not about what happens to you, but how you choose to respond that ultimately shapes your journey towards success. By integrating these takeaways into your lives, I hope you can navigate through procrastination with greater clarity, confidence and resilience, ultimately unlocking your full potential and unleashing your inner radiance.
