Let's take some time to talk about standing in the face of fear. What scares you more? Staying in the current situation where you are struggling, or trying something new and investing in yourself? How about stepping outside your comfort zone, starting something today that will make tomorrow a bit better? If you're someone who wants to get unstuck, who knows deep down that you deserve more, can be more and create more for yourself, and that you actually have the power to take control of your future. I would love to be your guide.

Speaker 1:

Let's talk a little bit about understanding fear, because fear is a natural emotion, but it can also be paralyzing. It's a paralyzing force that keeps us from reaching our full potential. Paralyzing force that keeps us from reaching our full potential. What fears are holding you back? Is it fear of failure, fear of success, fear of judgment or fear of the unknown? Identifying these fears is the first step towards overcoming them. So what steps are you going to take to overcome those fears? We'll talk about those a little bit later.

Let's talk about the cost of staying stuck, because, let's be real, staying in your comfort zone might feel safe, but it often comes at a cost. Ask yourself this what is frightening you more? Remaining in a situation where you are unhappy and struggling, or taking a bold step towards something new? The cost of staying stuck can be really super high. It can affect your mental health, your relationships and your overall happiness. It can cause depression, it can cause anxiety. You know, I know stepping out of your comfort zone can also do that. But staying stuck where you're at, whether you hate your job, or you don't want to work anymore because you want to be home with your kids, or you don't like the commute anymore, kids, or you don't like the commute anymore because you don't like the gas prices, or you just want to be a stay-at-home dog, mom. You know it. Just whatever that is, you can stand up, face the fear and change it. You can change it. So let's talk about embracing change. Embracing change is a powerful way to overcome fear. Change can definitely be intimidating, but it is also an opportunity for growth. But it is also an opportunity for growth. Stepping outside of your comfort zone allows you to explore new possibilities and discover your true potential. So are you ready to step out of your comfort zone? The next one we're going to talk about is vulnerable action steps. So I'm going to give you guys a list of 10 action steps to help you stand in the face of fear and move forward.

Speaker 1:

One acknowledge your fear. Write it down. Write down what scares you, down what scares you and what scares you. The write down what scares the most out of you about making that change, because writing it down is acknowledging it. It's putting it in pink and white, blue and white, black and white. It's putting it down in front of you. It's acknowledging it. That's what we need to do.

Speaker 1:

Two visualize your success. Imagine yourself successfully overcoming your fear and achieving your goal. What would that look like? What would it feel like? Three break it down. Divide your goal into smaller, manageable steps. Divide your goal into Smart goals, just small little ones, and keep taking a step forward each day, and you'll be amazed at where you end up. Seek support. That's number four. Talk to friends, family or a coach who can hold you accountable and encourage you. Five educate yourself. Learn more about what you want to achieve, learn more about your fear, learn more about overcoming that fear and how you can overcome that fear, because what you want to achieve is to ultimately reduce the fear of the unknown, and that's what you're fearing.

Speaker 1:

Six take a small step. That's what we just talked about smart goals. Start with a small action step that moves you towards your goals, because it might take you 90 steps to achieve your goal, but think of every motion you go forward. Every goal, small goal you hit gives you momentum right. It gives you growth, it gives you courage. It gives you confidence. It gives you growth. It gives you courage. It gives you confidence, it improves your self-worth All those things. That brings me to seven.

Speaker 1:

Reflect on your past successes. Remember the times when you overcame fear and succeeded. That's why we journal. That is why because then we can look back at our journal and go oh my gosh, this is where I was three months ago. I said I wanted to do this in six months and I did it in four months because I followed my action steps to get to my goal. That is what is so cool about that. And even when you struggle with thinking that you really haven't gotten anywhere, if you go back and look at that journal, you see how much you've achieved, even if it doesn't feel like you have. You get to see how much you've grown, even though it feels like you haven't.

Speaker 1:

That brings me to self-compassion and how we should practice self-compassion, compassion and how we should practice self-compassion. Be kind to yourself and acknowledge that fear is a normal part of growth. Do you know that when you are struggling the most or facing the most fear is when you are growing the most? So be compassionate to yourself, be kind to yourself, say nice things to yourself, say positive things to yourself, and that brings me to staying present. Meditate. Oh my gosh, meditation has grounded me so much. Also, just walk out in the backyard barefoot, stand in the grass and just take it all in. Focus on the present moment rather than worrying about the future. Focus on your present goals, your present self, your present desires. Focus on right now, because the steps that you're taking right now are what are going to build your growth in the future.

Speaker 1:

Celebrating progress, which is number 10. I want you to acknowledge and celebrate each step you take towards overcoming your fear, each step you take, each goal you set, each goal you reach, each step you take towards that goal. I want you to celebrate every single one of them, and I am here to help you celebrate, because it is the best feeling in the world, even if you reach a little goal. I reached that goal, but that puts me one more step closer to my big goal, so let's do this together. Now I have an affirmation for you guys, because I love affirmations. Here it is. Here is a very vulnerable affirmation that I'm sharing with you, that I would like you to put in your arsenal. I would like you to write down. I would like you to break apart and journal about. Here it goes I would like you to break apart and journal about. Here it goes I acknowledge my fears, but choose to act in spite of them. I trust in my ability to create a better future. I embrace change and step outside my comfort zone with courage and confidence, knowing that growth lies on the other side.

Now let's talk about practical application, because now we're going to put it into practice.

What is one small step you can take today to start overcoming your fear? What is it? Do you know what it it? Do you know what it is? Write it down. Maybe it's signing up for a course. Maybe it's investing in your future. Maybe it's starting your own side business, with the hopes of not having to work full time anymore. Maybe it's reaching out to a coach or a mentor for a little bit of help, or simply writing down your goals. But find somebody to hold you accountable, because it'll be worth it.
