Speaker 1:

Hey, radiant Souls, welcome back to another empowering episode of Unleash your Inner Radiance. I'm your host, lisa, your Catalyst, life, wellness and Transformation Coach, and today we are diving into a powerful shift in our podcast direction. We're here to empower all you smart-ass entrepreneurs and educators to unapologetically smash barriers, embrace your unique energetic wisdom and tap into the endless peace that is always available. Now let's get to it. Today we are going to focus on improving relationships, because we always need to do that, we always need to work on that. We're going to talk about improving both personal and professional. So in your lives, with your kids, with your husbands, with your relatives, or in your business maybe you're a real estate agent and you want to decode your clients before you work with them so you know how to handle them I have something for you at the end of this podcast, because it's going to be amazing thing for you at the end of this podcast, because it's going to be amazing. So, if you want a strong, healthy relationship, these are the foundations of fulfilled life and successful career, and I think we all want that. So let's break down seven tips to help you cultivate and strengthen these connections.

Speaker 1:

One let's communicate clearly and openly, because first up, communication. We all hear it all the time, right, but it is so essential. Clear and open communication is the backbone of any strong relationship. We need to be honest, you need to be direct, you need to be kind, you need to be a good listener, you need to, you know, be present and really listen to what somebody's saying, not have in your mind what you're going to say next, because you need to be a really good listener and how many of us actually are. So, whether it's with your partner, your team, your clients or maybe students that you're working with at school, make sure that you are expressing your thoughts and feelings openly, but still being a good listener, because this helps to build trust and understanding and it definitely paves the way for deeper connections and all the trust that you need in building relationships, because what we are here on this earth to do is literally build relationships.

Speaker 1:

Right. Two now, I touched on this in the first one, but practice active listening. Right, because talking is all about active listening and building relationships and trust is all about active listening. This means that you are really paying attention. When someone is speaking to you, you are present, you are not looking at your phone. You are listening, you are not thinking of the thing you want to say back to them. So put away all those distractions. Make eye contact and show that you are engaged. Reflect back what they've said to you to ensure you understood them correctly, because sometimes what we hear or think we heard them say is not necessarily what they said. So repeat back to them and just confirm that you understood them correctly, because this not only makes the other person feel valued, but it also helps in preventing misunderstandings and conflicts, because how many arguments are started because you misunderstood what the person was saying, because maybe they said it in a tone that touched something in you, right? So then you took it as it being a negative thing, when maybe it wasn't a negative thing at all. But that's why we need to improve our relationships.

Speaker 1:

Tip number three set boundaries. That is so important and this is something I wish I had learned a long time ago, because setting boundaries is so incredibly crucial. But as entrepreneurs and educators and realtors and just family members, we often judge many roles and responsibilities and we juggle all these roles and responsibilities, and it is important to establish clear boundaries in whatever you're doing, because you need to protect your time and your energy, and this might mean saying no when necessary and saying no when you don't necessarily want to, and not feeling guilty about saying no, because a lot of people are people pleasers and they never say no. So those are the people that really need to work on setting their boundaries, because you need to learn to say the word no, but you need to not feel guilty about it, because it's your boundary right and you need to respect other people's boundaries. That's equally important. It's all about mutual respect and understanding instead of disrespect and misunderstanding.

Speaker 1:

Tip number four show appreciation and gratitude. Trust me, a little appreciation goes a long, long way, and gratitude only helps you grow. So regularly express gratitude for the people in your life. Tell the person that you're with, that you love them, tell them something nice. It's gratitude goes so far and it makes you feel good too, so it fills up your bucket, and this can be as simple as a thank you note, a compliment or just a small gesture of kindness, because when people feel appreciated, they're more likely to reciprocate, creating a positive cycle of goodwill and support between you. Right? That is all about building relationships.

Speaker 1:

Tip number five be empathetic. Empathy is about putting yourself in someone else's shoes and understanding their perspective. If we are good listeners, we can do that right. We won't take or mistake what someone says to us in the wrong text, because we are standing there, we are listening to them, we are putting ourselves in their shoes for the moment so that we can have a good conversation, because it is crucial for building strong relationships. So when you show empathy, you create a safe space for others to share their thoughts and feelings. And creating a safe space is very important and you need to do it with everybody, because this deepens your connection and it builds a foundation of trust and mutual respect, and we could all work on that, especially now.

Speaker 1:

Six invest in personal growth. Investing in your personal growth is key to improving your relationships. What are you doing to invest in yourself? When you work on yourself, you bring a better version to every interaction, every single interaction. This might mean developing emotional intelligence, managing stress or learning new communication skills. Just reading books that help you and you can read 10 pages a day. The more you grow, the more you can contribute and enrich everybody around you. When they see you growing, they're going to grow too, because you're going to handle situations different. You're going to set boundaries different, you're going to do everything different. Communication is going to be different.

Speaker 1:

Tip number seven prioritize quality time. Last but not least, prioritize your quality time, whether it is with your family, your friends, your colleagues. Make a time for meaningful connections and interactions. This could be a regular date night, a coffee catch-up or team building activities. Quality time strengthens and bonds and keeps relationships vibrant and healthy, and we need to do more of that. Over the last few years, we've gotten apart from talking to people and hugging people and doing all these things, and we need to do more of these things because we need to improve the quality time and the strengths and the bonds and keep all of our relationships vibrant and healthy, because they all mean something.

Speaker 1:

And if I could give you a tool to teach you how to communicate, wouldn't that just be amazing? Wouldn't that just be amazing? Because, before we wrap up, I do want to share something truly transformative from Codebreaker Technologies. This is all about mastering effective communication, because that is key to unlocking success in all areas of our lives. All areas in all areas of our lives, all areas. Speaker 1:

Teachers, you can decode all of your students so you know why this one is running out of the classroom and why this one can't learn this way and why this one is crying all the time because somebody hurt their feelings. Isn't that just the coolest thing? Because at Codebaker Technologies, they focus on decoding personality types and leveraging this knowledge so that you can tailor and we can tailor our communication styles and we can foster deeper connections and get and grow greater trust.
